Great property. Did not mind that lots of locals used the area. Enjoyed sitting outside in morning drinking coffee and enjoyed the pool. Property is nice but would not have liked other renters using the small cabin on property. Does need some small upkeep like paint, loose boards on fence, some cracks in cement steps. I put covers on drains in master bathroom to keep things from going down drain. But overall everyone loved it.

Great Location
This was our third trip to the island but FIRST time not staying at a resort. The house was beautiful, amazing location, and the communication between management and the owner was easy and quick! It was nice to be amongst locals and still have quick access to all the island has to offer with a rental car. We will be back!

Primo location Mangel Halto
If you choose to get off the main resort alley areas (Palm & Eagle Beaches), this is a top location for real-feel Aruba on the south/central side on the water. Houses on the water are hard to come by. Windsong is less than 10-15 min from the Airport, 15 min to Baby Beach, and easy 15 min drive to south entrance to Arikok! (Makes the park drive much shorter to caves and shoreline / park was great to explore. You do not need a 4x4 to do all of it, you can do 80-% without.) Baby Beach was amazing, go early for shaded areas. Snorkeling was not great there but is quite good (for the islands offering) in front of Windsong House. From the house you can go directly down stairs to beautiful water and small private beach (in low tide). The house is no frills but there is something to be said for the perks of a house rental vs condo. (Stocked with spices, laundry & dishwashing tabs, all basics which are great upon arrival. Not sure I saw a blow dryer anywhere if you need .. but the wind on Aruba is a constant blow dryer). The pool is moderately sized and great temp. Outdoor sitting area very welcoming. Very spacious house, could use some updated bath mats, pillows, blankets, etc - but all can be overlooked. You’re paying for the location and ability to spread out across a large house. Two restaurants in walking distance (one carry out only at Mangel, one at Marina Pirata). House provides lots of details regarding island amenities close, and owners and property managers were very quick to handle any issues that we had. Large smart TV in family room, no TVs in other rooms. This house can sleep a lot of people (2 kings, 1 Queen, 3 twins). AC in all rooms but not in main area. Breeze is strong and constant however - house stays cool, but bring bug spray for evenings.
Overall, if you want the Mangel Halta area, this is the house you’d want to rent! You’ll really get a feel for the local culture, pace, and style vs Americanized resort areas (which we visited as well, and were also superb - the island has a lot to offer and the people are great.) We did not feel unsafe ever. Parking is easy on the side of the house if you drive, and easy everywhere on the island, really.
Enjoy! Aruba is great!

Kick back, Relax!
We had a wonderful time. Sophie was very responsive and provided us with great information on the area. There were a few glitches, but they were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
It was incredible to have the ocean out our front door for snorkeling, and a lovely pool area in the back yard for sunning and relaxing. We mostly cooked at home, enjoying dining outside under the palapa , but we did get delicious pizza from The Core, and shawarma from the friendly owner of Happy Appy.
