It was great to have two apartments in one house. We shared the rental with some relatives so it was helpful to have private spaces. The location was convenient to downtown Manitou (walking distance) and a short drive to other sights.
We know summer is a busy time, but it was not easy to get an early check in and not possible to arrange a late check out.
There were a few items that needed repairing, but overall it was a clean and comfortable place to stay.

Miscommunications from property manager to cleaning crew and maintenance. We were told we could check in early but cleaner was still there not even knowing there was anyone coming in. You must look through whole description to see it is 2 different units that you are staying in. Cleaning lady was extremely friendly and property maintenance went above and beyond. At the end of the day we had a great time but in winter do know they take awhile to plow, if at all.

Rental was located close to town and had a great hot tub and outdoor space. As is stated deep in the listing, it is actually two separate units in same house. Unfortunately we smelled a cigarette smoke in the lower unit so we did not use it. Host was responsive but said he and his team did not smell it. After much back and forth following our stay, they ultimately refunded half of the cleaning fee since we didn’t use the lower unit. Just something to be aware of. They could also use some additional dishware provisions (there was only one wine glass total between both units and minimal drink ware in general). Overall though we enjoyed our stay for a friend’s birthday celebration.

We rented both the upstairs and downstairs which are 2 separate apartments. Overall this place is pretty nice. The downstairs apartment could use a few upgrades as a few things didn't work and seemed a bit more dated than the upstairs, but overall was a nice place in a wonderful location very close to downtown Manitou Springs

Perfect for teenagers that want their own space. We walked to town several times and loved the location. We loved the rooms and would definitely stay here again.

Love the location, the property needs some maintenance.
Love the location, the property needs some maintenance. We loved being able to walk into town and explore Manitou on foot especially because parking was very limited on a holiday weekend. There are some things that need fixing. The lamp switch on the end table to the right of the door for the downstairs unit does not work. I had to get down on my hands and knees to plug the light in and unplug it in order for it to work. The surface light under the microwave does not work. The sink drain in the downstairs bathroom drains out onto the counter. The downstairs mattress is way too soft. My husband and I kept rolling into the middle and bumping into each other. There’s no smoke alarm in the upstairs unit. No towel racks in the downstairs bathroom. The hot water is plumbed backwards in the upstairs kitchen sink. Almost all the dishes are chipped. There were no wine glasses for the downstairs unit. The right rear stove burner does not ignite upstairs. We did not try the hot tub so I cannot comment. It would be nice if there were rags or some thing to wipe down the outside table and chairs as they were very dusty and gritty. It was difficult to make a space for six people to share a table. Each unit is obviously designed to accommodate no more than four people. I wish that had been more clear in the description. A little more maintenance and I would give this a five star rating.

Perfect Runaway Weekend
The property was walking distance to the main street with restaurants and shopping. We loved soaking in the hot tub. Even when we could not get it up and running right away the owners were extremely responsive and got us up and running within a couple of hours.

We really enjoyed our stay. The updates done to this cute home are just perfect. Comfortable beds- lots of comfy pillows. Stocked well with everything you need for cooking etc.
Communication was easy through messaging with VRBO app. Great location - Very close to Garden of the Gods and all the fun CO Springs stuff.
