This was my third time staying here and I enjoyed it as always! So comfy and a great setup.
This time, there were no kitchen towels or hairdryer. Would have really appreciated hooks in the bathroom and in the living room. Would absolutely love a luggage rack as well. I felt the floors weren’t as clean this time as well.

Signage to locate the property was difficult to see. Took a little time to locate it.
Felt homey.

Great location and the room was very cozy.
Heater makes funny noises.

Beautiful loft. Great location. The kitchen and bathroom were nice and clean.
The couch/pillows and rug were filthy. Globs of hair were stuck to things like the washer floor pan. It was obvious this is a pet friendly location.

I liked the convenient location. I planned to go to the brewery and do a famous hike nearby. I like the design. Very relaxing.
It was hard to find the entry. Because the door has another name, motor lofts, or something.

It was nicely decorated.
It’s more of an Airbnb vibe. You need codes to get in, front desk is only available by phone until 5. The doors are hard to navigate, my codes were late and I was so confused.
The property does explain the doors in the text they send you with your codes but bc mine were late I had no clue how to get in and when you call the desk staff is gone by 5pm so I had to email the property and had no clue what to do.
The property should explain this better and booking.com should also list that this isn’t a full time staffed place to stay and that it may take over an hour to get the code to get in the building after your booking is finalized.
Also the bed sheets felt like absolute sandpaper and had hair on them. There is no instructions for parking so I had to find a random person to ask about that since the spaces behind the hotel are for residents…and I had to go to the bar of one of the attached restaurants to ask about how to get into the building. Also there is no elevator, most rooms have full kitchens so if you bring a lot of stuff (food, water or baggage) for your trip: be prepared to schlep it across the road (public parking lot) through two doors and upstairs to your room. All the while pulling your phone out to remember the door code and then your room code.

Location was great, easy walkable for dinner and breakfast. Onsite food was great. Parking was great. Check in was easy and staff was very helpful.
Dirty blinds, outside light was on and no black out curtains were available, no extra to or paper towels. An annoying squeak persisted all night long and Middle Eastern music played all night. Full size bed is just silly for two adults. He had to make our own black out screen.

Central to Roanoke College. Good and drinks within walking distance. Ample free parking. Free laundry in the suite super helpful for when it rains and you get soaked.
Walls could be more soundproofed.

The location was great and the history of the building was really great and added so much character to the lofts.

I really can't say enough about this property. Although we didn't use it, it was great to have a full kitchen available. It felt like an apartment, not a hotel. Everything was very clean and well kept. The air conditioning was blissfully cool. Staff was extremely helpful and gave us insight into the history of the building. We were able to order food from the restaurant in the building and have it delivered directly to the room, which was amazing, and the food was superb. One of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Last but not least, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Might not seem like a big deal, but after driving all day a shower with great water pressure was so wonderful.

I did not have breakfast. Location was perfect for my needs. Facility had everything I needed.
I can’t think of anything I would change or do differently.

Great location off Main Street in Salem. Building is a great renovated space. Quiet, safe, and modern with lots of character. Good value for the space and amenities.
The staff came to our place at 10:00 in the morning to see if we were still there. Check out time is at 11:00, so it was inconvenient and unnecessary to have our morning interrupted.

Location was great. Walking distance to Main Street restaurants and Roanoke College
There wasn't anyone to meet us at checkin on Sunday. We had all the necessary codes to access the property and our room but someone there to greet us would have been nice.

space was beautiful and updated.
I was freezing, check the heating system. I turned up heat and temperature still dropped. could’ve used a few extra towels and a blanket.

Gorgeous, thoughtful decor makes it feel like a luxury property. loved the location and El Jefe restaurant on bottom level. Pet fee was only $25 which I found incredibly reasonable.

Pictures do NOT do this place justice. Excellent location, walking distance to restaurants and nightlife. Plenty of space, the kitchen area was amazing. Pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay. Historical building with rustic features very beautifully done. We had the queen large suite, room 210. Just beautiful. Washer and dryer in the room, fully equipped kitchen, huge peninsula with plenty of seating. Pet friendly...huge plus and the main reason we stayed here. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. El Jefe restaurant on site is delish and very convenient.
No elevator or luggage carts, and the parking situation, are the biggest issues that really bothered us. Perhaps the only significant issues. Parking is far away and schlepping all of your belongings all of that distance and then up a flight of stairs wasn't fun. Nitpicky dislikes: the couch, err loveseat, was much too small for relaxing to watch tv (but comfy nonetheless!) and there's no tv in the bedroom so there's no snuggling up to watch a movie. The only chair in the room had broken legs. The dust bunnies under the bed were plentiful.
