Cabin has double wood siding interior & exterior that keeps it quiet inside, good people & rules make it great, or we help enforce quiet time rules. FM 356 traffic is normally quiet at night but can have some traffic noise during day.
Also not in cabins and or not normally any nuisance to people, but guests should be aware that we are on a natural lake and there can be in wetlands area across the street or in brush snakes, spiders, snapper turtles, alligator across the bridge, hawks, eagles, raccoons, etc. No real danger but occasionally for a couple days usually in spring or early summer, mom alligator will come and drop off a baby alligator off every couple years, stats with it a couple days then leaves. Baby tends to be about 3’ to max 3.5’ when this happens, is too small to be issue, can still only eat max size bullfrogs, kind of fun to watch, but then normally leaves as well within a few weeks cuz too much activity from us. Parks & Wildlife and licensed trappers both said to leave them alone when this small, just do what we do because most the little one can do is eat bullfrog and will leave to find different home if we keep up our activities. And after 8 years we see this is correct.

A lot of good things to be said about our visit here. It’s exactly what was expected and we wanted. From comfortable cabin to plentiful fish we found a perfect getaway for our family.
The host was VERY attentive to our needs/questions and super friendly.
Plenty of restaurants and shopping.
The WiFi and tv work great! Every time we rent somewhere the internet is not as good as people advertise it to be. Theirs works great! We had 4 phones, an iPad, and a Nintendo switch. They weren’t slow at all. Again WiFi works great.
This is also a nice place for couples. It’s quiet.
Cabin is super nice. Grounds are pet friendly
If you visit here we wish you the same pleasant visit as ours.

Owners were very kind & communicated very well with us. Property was mostly as described, however I did not realize that it was right off a main road. A bit of traffic noise at night. Also, I was hoping the water was swimmable for our kids, but it was not. Dirty water, very rocky. Not the owners fault for condition of lake however had I known the condition of the lake I probably would not have selected this site. We ended up driving an hour from the property to swim at another location.

Waking up literally steps away from the lake, swimming fishing, bonfires, enjoying your coffee on the dock porch swing...definitely a vacation away from it all. Loval.food is delicious, and the property owners are o nice and friendly. They are always available for questions or to help out with bait or fishing tips, firewood for the smores pit....I love it. Close enough to get to the little stores if you need it, but small town life at its best.

Very clean, all needed kitchen items to cook a meal. Grill right off the covered porch. Nice dock for fishing with a porch swing. Ruku TV and DVDs which was a plus as it was cold. There is a fire circle off the porch, plenty of chairs for sitting and talking or just watching the sunset. We will be returning

Quick getaway
This was booked for the weekend with like 3 days to spare, it was just a quick last minute getaway. We had the whole place to ourselves, which was nice. Cabin# 5 is also more by itself as well. Love the little area it was in, the time of year and weather, it was not good for fishing that weekend but, it seems like it could be with the right conditions. The only thing I felt was missing was one of those blank books for people to write their stories and about their stays...I miss those things at different places! Rick was a nice guy and Bernadette was very responsive every time I text her about something, she seems very sweet.

We were very comfortable in this little cabin by the lake. A couple of little hiccups that were handled very promptly by the hosts. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Easy access to grocery store and restaurants. Highly recommend this property.

Great getaway.
We were pleased with everything. Could have used some instructions on the "hot" water for a shower. Cold first shower. Then we figured it out.
Very well stocked with all the necessities.
The highway traffic was noisy and disturbing at first, then we got use to it.
Very nice managers of the property.

Birthday Weekend
The moment we walked in we were impressed with how clean the cabin was. Our host had contacted us prior to arriving with our code and had turned on the air conditioning so that we were immediately comfortable when we arrived. Bernadette stopped by the next morning and visited with us a bit to make sure we didn't have any questions or needs. There are docs to fish and play off of. Several types of boats, the grounds are very well maintained and the cabin was well stocked. Firewood is available. Rick and Bernadette are friendly and it is obvious they go the extra mile to make sure you feel at home and have everything you need and a lot of what you just might want available during your stay. Grocery, tackle and bait stores just a few miles down the road. We will definitely go again.

Property was beautiful in the amenities were great. The 4 to 5 inches of snow fall was an added unexpected blessing. Only issue was the water lines froze. Property owners were great friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back in the summer.
