This was perfect for our family of four (two kids under 5) for a weekend in Santa Cruz. It was a few blocks from the beach and Boardwalk, so it was a great home base for beach activities. It was super clean, the directions were very clear and it had everything we needed.

My three young sons and I enjoyed a two-night stay at this charming little cottage. It was a tight fit for the four of us but we were willing to compromise on space in order to be so near the beach! The neighborhood felt safe and is very quaint. We have stayed at another house nearby and didn't have any trouble with the neighborhood either. Parking is limited but since our stay was in the off season we didn't have any trouble finding a spot near the house. The kitchen was decently stocked and allowed us to make all of our meals there. Don't forget to bring your own foil, plastic wrap and storage bags and seasonings if you want more than salt and pepper. I also recommend bringing your own shower soaps.
We loved the neat, clean, little cottage!

You enter the front door into the one small bedroom with a queen bed, providing no privacy. That room leads to another small sitting room with a futon and chair to a small back kitchen and full bath. The bath has an old fashioned claw foot tub. Both the tub and sink drained poorly. The bathroom door knob was falling off and the knob to the toilet is very loose. The shower curtain rod had become detached from the wall and ceiling. (The owner did come quickly to make necessary repairs). The futon was not a comfortable sleep, and there are no washer and dryer available.
However, the place was clean and is within walking distance to the beach and broad walk.
This may be a good short-term stay for 1 guest or a couple. However, we saw more updated places and better layout for comparable prices.

My husband and I just got married last weekend and wanted to do a little mini moon getaway in Santa Cruz. The bungalow is cute and perfect distance from the beach/boardwalk and downtown.
Our only recommendation would be a mattress topper for the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable and we both had backaches every morning. Other than that, we highly recommend!

We stayed for 26 days in Santa Cruz to help out and spend time with our daughter, son-in-law, 3 yr old granddaughter and newborn grandson. We have stayed in Santa Cruz many times but not close to the boardwalk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This location was perfect to spend time with our daughter's family during the day and able to enjoy the evenings downtown and at the boardwalk. The house is half of a duplex with the owner, Keith next door. He is so nice, friendly and very helpful as to giving us recommendations of favorite places to go close by. The house was clean, bed comfortable, and good shower pressure. The kitchen was clean and had what we needed. The location was on a quiet street and street parking was easy to find. A parking pass was provided. We would definitely book a stay here again.

This home had one thing going for it, it was clean. Wi-Fi works. Moldy shower curtain that hits you while you shower, only eco pods to use for bathing and cleaning hair. Glad I brought my own. It was me and a friend so she slept in bed I the futon no blanket provided but used VACASA.com beach towels to keep warm. No parking, he lied. You may have to park blocks away or move car frequently as meters run out or not allowed to park certain hours. Neither owner who lives next door helpful or VACASA either. READ carefully when booking thought using Airbnb site but this 3rd party involved.

Cozy little place that was comfortable and quaint. The location can’t be beat! We parked and walked to the beach and boardwalk multiple times during our stay and barely drove unless we wanted to go to the movies or on an excursion. It really is a 5 minute walk just have to trek up a hill. It is an older home and small with a bedroom as soon as you walk in and kind of an awkward bathroom, but everything was clean and worked. Our kids happily slept in the other room on the futon (ages 8 & 10) and loved the tv and access to Netflix kids and Amazon Prime. We also enjoyed the convenience of the full size fridge, microwave and stove. We brought a lot of food/drink for our family and it did save us a lot of money making lunches, breakfast and dinner if we wanted to stay in. The front porch was very nice to sit and drink a glass of wine or play cards. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt safe there. The owners also left a few beach towels, beach chairs and boogie board for the guests to enjoy. We utilized the fan they had in the closet, which was nice. I would recommend this home for a family of four if the kids are 10 years and under or a couple. There are lots of hotels nearby, but they were so much more expensive and you don’t have the option to have the full size fridge/stove and pots/pans/utensils.. etc.
The only other feedback to relay back to the owner is to replace the trashcan in the kitchen since the step pad was broken. We also didn’t know where to empty the trash out and didn’t want to walk around to the backyard since that was their private residence. My husband also observed it might be time to replace the curtain and hangers in the shower. They were rusting due to the moisture in that room.
Thanks for the great stay! We made some great memories with our family.

Just an opinion maybe a fan would be good if you want to stay inside the property during day time but overall is a good place.
Thank you.

This place was great! Really too much to list so here are some of the highlights...
Street is clean and safe
Really close to the Boardwalk, Beach, Warf. (5ish minute walk)
Small but comfortable, great place to came back to and relax after a busy day playing
Mattress was very comfortable.
Owner lives right next door and is very nice and helpful
We will definitely stay here again!
One thing everyone needs to understand, parking in Santa Cruz sucks. I used to live there and its horrible regardless of location. Unfortunately this place is no different. Don't assume you will get a parking spot right in front. However, there's lots of parking within a couple minute walk. It's not a ding against this place just a heads up.

great little place
Small, but charming and very convenient for two people looking for a place close to the beach (it's literally one block away) and easy walking access to downtown Santa Cruz (10-15 min walk). We had everything we needed for a two-night getaway and had no issues with anything. Yes, it's older and attached to private residence, but that didn't bother us. Only thing we wish was there was a kitchen table of some sort to play games on, but the little patio table worked fine since the weather was great. We found TV trays in the closet that worked to extend the liftable coffee table top for a large board game we played. A card table and chairs could be a nice addition. Oh, also the bed is really squeaky and the heater makes a very loud clicking noise, but we remedied that with ear plugs. Clawfoot tub was super cute and we had no issues with it draining. Linens were clean and bed was comfortable. Didn't use kitchen appliances so will refrain from comment other than to say there is a Keurig with coffee pods, fridge, microwave and stove/oven. Stocked with pots/pans, dishes, Brita water jug, silverware and wine opener, but maybe lacking some spices. If you plan to cook, bring the essentials. Also appreciated the eco-friendly soap/shampoo pods, but as with many eco-friendly products, they are lacking good lather so if that's not your thing, bring your own. Futon would likely not be too comfortable to sleep on for adults as the springs were a bit pokey, but prob fine for kids. I would say we are easy-going and don't need the frills that swanky hotels boast, so this place worked great for us. By far, BEST part of this place is its location - you can't beat it!

How sweet it is….
A cute little residence on a nice quiet street where succulents thrive and show themselves off. A true delight.

Mehhh Wouldn’t Stay Again
Honestly, this place was pretty gross. The sheet had stains on them, the shower drain barely worked so we could not shower in fear that it would flow over plus that’s disgusting. The home is VERY small, and the entrance door walks into the bedroom, then the living room, then kitchen. It’s the only door as well so it feels a little claustrophobic. The remote was missing that allowed you to use the tv, they only provided the remote that turns it on. Overall it was OK I guess, but I never stay again and would recommend it either. Extremely overpriced for you get too.

Great location
A bit small for 4, but we knew that going in. Cute, comfortable, clean, and great proximity to the beach if you can handle a quick jaunt uphill coming back.

Quick trip to SC
Cute little cottage for two! We had three in our group and it was one too many as it was small and there wasn’t a kitchen table and the futon couch served as the third bed.

Great Little Home in the Center of Town
Only a couple of blocks from the beach and walking distance to the downtown area. Beach towels and chairs in the closet, which was really great. Strong wifi, parking included, and contactless check-in - really enjoyed our stay!

Parking was bad
The home was clean but the parking was terrible on Monday which was a holiday. It took an hour and fifteen min to find parking. We had messaged prior to booking and were told we would have 1 parking space access. When we called for help the company was not helpful we asked if we could cancel bc we had no where to Park to be able to stay and they wouldn’t give an answer just kept going in circles. It was a very stressful start to a vacation. We didn’t really move the car after that in fear for not being able to find parking again. No other problems during the stay.

March stay
I really enjoyed my stay! I reached out to management about a couple of things while I was there that they never responded to, but I ended up figuring out what I’d messaged them about myself. It was very clean and cute, plus the location was perfect.

Historic & Quaint
The location is great: a duplex about four blocks just down the hill to the ocean pier or Boardwalk. It is a three-room unit. Immediately inside the front door is the bedroom. The next room is the TV/living room with a couch and a lounge chair. The back room is the kitchen and adjacent bathroom. The unit was well supplied. Parking is extremely limited. Window coverings were insufficient. We actually hung a sheet over two of the windows to secure privacy. The historic feel of the unit and the neighborhood was fun. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay there.

winter weekend getaway
nice little place, very quiet neighborhood (at least this time of year). Bed was good. I did not like the Keurig coffee maker. Would recommend providing some sort of table/chairs to use for eating and sitting upright. Even something that would fold., since space is small.

Great Stay On Beach Hill
We love life in a simple Santa Cruz bungalow and this fit the bill to a T. Morning sunshine on the front porch was especially wonderful. You can't always beat the fog but we were lucky!

Cozy place and would stay here again!
The layout of the place is definitely different, but overall, the place is great and surprisingly quiet! The place was cleaned well and the bed was comfy. I loved the water pressure in the shower. The owner, Keith, was thoughtful in the amenities he provided, such as a water filter pitcher, toiletries, some cooking spices and an extension cord to charge our electronic devices. Literally steps away from the boardwalk. Nice size for my husband, 8 month old and I. We would definitely stay here again.
