About this apartment rental
This spacious beachfront condo is a 2 bedroom/2 bath corner unit on the 2nd floor of the 10th (southside) building. The additional large window on the south side provides extra light and views of tropical greenery. Ocean views from the living area and master bedroom are breathtaking. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. King bed in master & twins in 2nd bedroom allows for 4 guests. In-unit Washer /Dryer! There is central A/C. This condo is cool looking and feeling with tile flooring throughout. Prep meals in the full kitchen and enjoy watching the outriggers launch. Or use the property’s gas grills and chat it up with fellow guests; locals call that talking story, a simple aloha kind of thing that enhances every vacation. Flat-screen TVs with complimentary cable, WiFi, local phone; central AC, and ceiling fans. The in-unit washer/dryer is super convenient as is the free parking for 1 vehicle per unit. The resort itself is a real gem. Nestled into a quiet and safe community, the vibe here is one of low-key locals that lets you know you are in an authentic place, not some theme resort. Centrally located in North Kihei, Kihei Beach Resort is a favorite of return travelers. From here you can venture forth with low commute times (15-45 minutes) to enjoy most of the awesome adventures and attractions Maui has to offer. Two long & winding roads - one to the summit of Haleakala & the other through the rainforest heading to eastside Hana. These are longer treks to places remote, but places not to be missed if one can help it. On days you want to stay close to base, stroll the (almost empty) 3 mile stretch of white-sand shoreline north to Ma’alaea. The resort’s 1.3-acre grounds tempt you to stay and relax by the pool, sunbathe on the beach or claim a lounge chair under a palm tree and read a book. From the grounds & pool you have panoramic, and majestic coastline views that extend south to the Makena cinder cone, sweep out across the water past Molokini Crater, neighbor islands Kahoolawe, Lanai and north to Maalaea Bay with its backdrop of stark white windmills marching up the sharp ridges of the West Maui Mountains. During high season (Dec-April) humpback whales (mamas, babies, and guardian males) find shelter in Maalaea Bay; the sight of them breaching is always thrilling. All year round you will savor spectacular sunrises and sunsets by day, and star-studded skies and silvery moonbeams glittering on the Pacific by night. It’s fun that Kihei Canoe Club is next door to the resort. Watching the canoes during practices or races is a cool diversion few resorts can offer. On Tuesdays & Thursdays the club offers visitors an opportunity to paddle out with them ($40 donation) so worth it! Across the street is a quaint collection of local treasures: a farmer’s market featuring local fruits & veggies, Ululani's Shave Ice Store, Sugar Beach Bake Shop & an ABC convenience store. You will find yourself there more often than you think, it’s one of those spots! And just down the road a bit toward Kihei, you will notice a most charming church painted 'plantation green' with white trim & exuding the Aloha spirit. Keolahou Hawaiian Congregational Church holds services in English & Hawaiian on Sunday mornings - open to all. We love this building and have stayed in several different units. The layout is excellent. The unit was clean and well appointed with everything we needed. I would absolutely rent this condo again.

Couldn’t have had a better experience. The unit was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The grounds were well maintained and the condo staff were great.This unit was on the end near the canoe club so it could get a Little noisy early in the morning. The only thing that was a draw back were the transients who were hanging out at the beach later in the evenings.

I love this unit. Location and very ocean front. The beach is walkable forever in both directions. Comfortable interior with plenty of seating. The coffee maker needs replacement. The bathroom hot water takes 5 minutes to get there. The bed mattress should be replaced. But overall none of these items detered our stay. We have already booked for next year. Aloha.

It was lovely to have a corner unit, however, there is a large palm directly in front of the lanai which blocks the main view directly out to the ocean from the unit. The unit was bright, pleasant and well supplied in the kitchen, but a few things need updating and the windows really need to be washed on the outside. The garberator broke 2-days before we left and resulted in water to be cleaned up and a pot under the sink until we left. The couch really needs to be replaced as it was rather smelly. For the price, the living-room furniture needs to be updated.

The unit was in generally good shape. Interesting that the king bed wasn't in the master bedroom. The unit was clean and comfortable. The view from the Lani was great. We loved the access to the beach which has been a favorite of ours staying at other resorts. A few items like the ice maker doesn't work but sufficient trays to do our own. Disappointed that the office wasn't open yet from the recent flood. They are working on it.

This is a great condo, and we enjoyed our stay. The farmers market, bakery, shave ice, and bakery across the street were wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed listening to the waves on the lanai. The palm tree in front of the lanai blocks the view a bit, and could really use a good trim. Our only other complaint is that the lanai sliding door doesn’t close properly, which wasn’t an issue for the majority of the time, but there was a TERRIBLE storm the first day, and the living room not only got wet, the wind whistled through the door and drove us nuts. This really needs to be fixed. Otherwise, we had a great stay. I will also note, as a parent of little kids, the pool was pretty cold, and you have to walk through the parking lot to get to the pool and beach. All in all, this was a great condo, and we’d happily come back.

Spotless upon arrival and had everything we needed to accommodate as our home away from home. As other's already mentioned, twin beds were a bit too firm for my 76yo Mom, but that is truly the only negative. Beautiful unit, and beautiful view with sunsets worthy of applause. Would definitely stay here again!

The unit was perfect for us with a few exceptions shower door in the second bath was not clean and the squeegee for it was laying in the bottom of a tub. The air conditioning was not working properly and we had to call the main office to have a repair service come in and fix it.

Overall nice place. The table was a little small for four people on the outside Lanai, not many amenities, didn't enjoy being in a flood zone and having to move our car out of the area. But it was a great location being right on the beach and the management got back right away and answered all our questions and helped us with our concerns

My husband and are two old teenagers enjoyed a week at Kihei Beach Resort, Unit 210 in December 2022. The location directly on the beach is spectacular, and we walked on the long beach or played in the water most days. You can hear the waves gently crashing throughout the day, wake up to beautiful sunrises, and watch spectacular sunsets. It is also nice to be directly across from the shaved ice stand and an ABC Market. The unit was well-appointed with new bedding, towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and everything you might need in the kitchen. We also used the property's grills and outdoor lawn chairs. We've been to Kauai a number of times but never had the opportunity to be directly on the beach like we were in Maui. We loved it.

We had no issues with our stay. Only issue is a complaint from the kids that the spare bedroom beds were too firm and somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that the condo was clean and well equipped. Enjoyed the facilities and location of the condo.

Thins condo was perfect for our vacation. We liked that it was centrally located and we could easily get to all the fun things we had planned for our vacation. Overall we had a great time at Kihei Beach Resort. The convenience of the location cant be beat and we loved having easy access to the beach, especially with small children. Although this unit (210) had some nice updates, it had things lacking. The vertical blinds were completely warped from the sun and useless, which meant it didn’t block out any afternoon sun so the front bedroom would get extremely warm during the day. This also meant the bedroom and living areas were very bright during the night as the second floor is on the level of all the exterior flood lights, (something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to light for sleeping). Some basic updated drapes would make a world of difference. The kitchen was also crawling with sugar ants and the ant traps littered throughout clearly were not helping the situation. As for the property management, they were completely non existent during our stay. The unit didn’t supply any extra blankets for the pull out sofa, I called and left a message, emailed, and never received any replies. We will not be using Destination Maui Vacations for any future rental properties. We will definitely be returning to KBR but will be staying in a different unit using a different property management company.

The big tree out front blocks quite a bit of the view from the 2nd floor,the light outside the patio on the side of the building is a bit too bright, sliding glass door doesn’t close all the way, it’s tweaked/offset at the top so Ac shuts off, only 1 small fan in the unit, we found it better at night to leave the doors and windows open. New management seems to have stricter rules than prior, woke up on our last day to signs taped to our paddle boards saying we can’t leave them in the pool area, I’ve left my boards in the pool area for the last 8 years never once have I had this, in fact last building manager told us it was the safest place to leave them in the back of the pool area against the fence, they don’t impact anyone sitting by the pool or take space or views from people sitting at the pool. So was a bit disappointed in that situation since there is no storage area to keep them? We love the location of this place, it’s convienent, love the abc, bakery and shave ice across the street, love the canoe club next door.

The views from this condo can’t be beat!! We loved waking up every morning and hearing the waves crashing and watching the canoes go out. The walk to the beach and pool were super easy. The unit itself had everything we needed, we just supplied the food. We had one issue with the stove top, but it was fixed the next day. Customer service and maintenance were very responsive! Make sure to visit Sugar Beach Bake Shop, the line was worth it...as well as the shaved ice. It was also super convenient to have an ABC market right across the street. My only complaint was that our trip wasn’t long enough. We will be back again once Covid calms down. If you do go during Covid, please be respectful of the people that live there. Follow their rules, wear a mask (and don’t be a jerk about it) and be patient...wait times can be long! It’s a beautiful place to be.

We booked this place for 10 days. It was an AMAZING stay. The view of the ocean, just right outside your windows, is breathtaking. You are literally a dozen steps from the sandy beach. The beach itself is far away from the tourist-laden resorts, which makes it relatively calm and quiet. You are half an hour away from most parts of the island, which is very convenient. The room itself is great, containing a full kitchen with everything you need to heat a pre-cooked meal or create a masterpiece. The living room couch can fully fold out to fit 2 people. There is an in-suite washer and dryer for laundry. The room also comes with 4 chairs for the sandy beach and a cooler box to keep your drinks cold. Everything mentioned above is not very obvious from the pictures.Things you might want to bring extras of if you stay more than 3 days: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper towel, and toilet paper.Overall, my family had a great time staying at this location and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time in Maui.

This property is a short drive from the airport and right on the water. Falling asleep to the waves every night and enjoying the view from the balcony was nice. It is very central to Maui so nothing is too far away which was great after staying on the big island where everything seems like a long drive. Relatively peaceful although it is on a fairly active road and most mornings we had to contend with wild roosters crowing to get sleep. Nice place overall.

The beach itself is far away from the tourist-laden resorts, which makes it relatively calm and quiet. You are half an hour away from most parts of the island, which is very convenient.
The room itself is great, containing a full kitchen with everything you need to heat a pre-cooked meal or create a masterpiece. The living room couch can fully fold out to fit 2 people. There is an in-suite washer and dryer for laundry. The room also comes with 4 chairs for the sandy beach and a cooler box to keep your drinks cold. Everything mentioned above is not very obvious from the pictures.
Things you might want to bring extras of if you stay more than 3 days: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper towel, and toilet paper.
Overall, my family had a great time staying at this location and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time in Maui.

This property is a short drive from the airport and right on the water. Falling asleep to the waves every night and enjoying the view from the balcony was nice. It is very central to Maui so nothing is too far away which was great after staying on the big island where everything seems like a long drive. Relatively peaceful although it is on a fairly active road and most mornings we had to contend with wild roosters crowing to get sleep. Nice place overall.
