Comfortable, cute little studio. Very clean.
Right in the centre of town, convenient access into the high street and car parking nearby. Amazing staff 5*****

The actual flat was OK.
We arrived in the dark and there was no outside lighting with irregular path which was dangerous. The stairs leading to our flat were disgusting. They were covered with cigarette ash and looked like they had not been cleaned in weeks. The flat had a sofa bed but no sheets were provided. The kitchen had not been cleaned after the previous guests.

Location in the city centre.
Nice kitchen.
The basement we rented smelled of tobacco so much that our clothes kept the smell when we unpacked back home. It was incredible, as the property made us pay a deposit and sign a draconian agreement which included, among many other prohibitions, a ban on smoking. The smell came from a kind of mailbox full of butts at the entrance door that hadn't been emptied in a long time. The access was also very dirty.
The bedrooms, toilet and couch were tiny.
In all the years I've been using Booking it's the first time I find such a disagreeable reservation policy. Reading the agreement made you feel like a criminal. I only accepted that conditions because it was a last minute booking and found no other option.

Clean and unusual, cute!
The alleyway leading up to the entrance was disgusting, littered with cigarette stubs. Cleaning up this part would just make this property exceptional.
3.7
lovely building inside, comfy bed and great shower, just perfect position in town and close to railway station.
Small step as you come in through the front door into the building which you can easily trip down! Rubbish in backyard that could easily be swept up.

Apartment it's self was ok and clean
The entrance to the apartments was terrible - it smelt badly with alot of rubbish around with poor lighting and a unsecured front door with glass missing from it. This definitely made the girls in our party feel very uneasy
3.7
The location.
The shower could of been a bit hotter

Decor was nice, room size was good
Smashed entrance door meant somebody could open the door from the outide without a key, not a double bed it was 3/4, smelt of weed in corridor, man living in the building seemed heavily under the influence of illegal substances and made us feel very uncomfortable. Could hear everytime the front door opened and closed and could hear whenever somebody was walking around the room above. Entrance was very unappealing and run down.
3.7
Excellent location and nice flat with lots of space. Particularly good deal for a family / people for two rooms.
Bit confusing working out how to get the keys. I understand the thinking behind a deposit but £200 is too much.
3.7
The place was very cosy and perfect for a solo traveller.
The fridge was a little loud, especially at night.

Flat 3, the Penthouse, is very nicely furnished and clean. We liked the central location and didn't find it too noisy, even though we were there on a saturday night and it's right in the centre of town. We found it straightforward to get the key, although it took a few tries to figure out the fob and which key was which. Once we were in though it was fine.
The sofa bed isn't brilliantly comfortable; the mattress is thin and the frame a bit bent. Outside the front door to the flats were two pots full of cigarette butts and a slighly worse-for-wear looking piece of astro-turf. This wasn't a great welcome, although not a disaster by any means. The pigeons were quite noisy!

the perfect location
the security deposit was very high.

The beds were support comfy and the apartment was cosy

The Merchant House was perfectly situated, clean, and very comfortable. The perfect size for two couple. Great facilities and a well-equipped kitchen for those wishing to cook.
3.7
Location was great and flat comfortable
The shower was temperamental. Hard to get temperature right although looked modern and up to date.
The mattress was not comfortable and one person has to sleep by the wall

The property was really clean and right in the centre of Hereford and gaining access was really easy.
We booked the basement flat, pictures on booking.com were misleading as the apartment looked an awful lot bigger. There wasn't a proper living room, it was more a landing with a small 2 seater settee small table and TV. The rooms were tiny with no windows, it was a rather warm weekend so the apartment was roasting. Definitely not suited to a larger taller male, mine and my friends partner (6ft plus) struggled walking down the stairs without banging their heads and using the bathroom was a struggle as so small. This apartment would be more suited for 2 people. It's definitely way too small for more than that.

Being able to open the windows to let some fresh air in

Very good location
Dealing with The Mer hant House was problematical. A £200 damage deposit is ridiculously high and I will be extremely unimpressed if I don't get it all back as we left the place spotless.
3.7
a clean house, very close to everything you need, located right in the center of town!
there are no ventilation methods and there were sounds like rats on the walls

Central location
During the night I could hear scratching and scurrying between the floor boards. I suspect it was rats (there is a hot food shop adjacent). I was staying with my daughter (this was not a holiday) and I didn't want to upset her, so I reported this to Guest Homes when we left. They have said there is nothing they can do as I didn't report this during my stay

It's a beautiful place but host was very very poor, the apartment was very dusty, broken bed, dirty shower which was broken, plus very very shower mat, smells very smokey the place need a good clean,
