Great stay, couple things, mildew and mold in downstairs is pretty bad, which they have a humidifier so they are trying to fix it
Hot tub wouldn’t heat up over 85 degrees
Driveway was washed out and could not get up to

We loved the house, the area but the air conditioner was out. It was ok but we got a little uncomfortable. We didn’t find out until we were in Boone overnight and our Family from Kentucky was on the road. No time to change reservations.

We found the home to be very right for us, and it provided all as was advertised. The manager of the property was immediately responsive and helpful when we were checking in (no problems other than me not knowing the code, and that was on me).

We loved the location and space! The downstairs allowed the kids to have their own room. We were not able to get any of our AWD cars up the driveway because of the ice. In fact, we had a really tough time walking up and down the driveway! With no driveway, there was very limited parking. Other than that, we would recommend this place for a not-fancy, but relaxed and enjoyable home!

This house was very well stocked and very accommodating! We had 3 families and were very comfortable. Easy to the slopes at Beech Mountain, comfortable beds, roomy living spaces and we loved the game area downstairs with the pool table/ping pong table. Highly recommend!

Easy access to ski resort. Great house for kids!

Had a good time with family and friends house was nice and clean and close to the lifts. The driveway was difficult to get up had to have a 4x4 vehicle but it had just snowed so not the owners fault

My family of 7 enjoyed this home for our annual ski trip. The home is well stocked for all your day to day comforts and homemade meals. We loved the spacious lay out and found the entire week very relaxing. The only challenge was the steep driveway. It remained covered in icy snow, so we had to park at the bottom. Getting packed and unpacked with luggage and coolers was a bit adventurous. On clear days, this driveway winds straight to the front door, so would be very convenient when it’s all clear. The setting is beautiful. Our kids loved the Beech Mtn and Sugar Mtn ski areas. Evolve seems to be a good management company as this is our second rental through them and both places have been great with communication, they provide bath toiletries, supply dishwasher/laundry soaps and are very responsive to all inquiries. I highly recommend.

The house is perfectly located within a 10-15 min drive to the ski resorts and town. There’s plenty parking for 4 vehicles, an all-wheel drive vehicle is recommended for the driveway.
There’s a LOT of sleeping spaces, including additional mattresses. We were a group of 14 and everybody had a place to sleep without even having to use the pullout couch. The kitchen is fully equipped for a big group.
We had a hiccup with the checkin process, but that was quickly resolved.

I organize an annual girl's trip and we were celebrating our 10th year. There were 7 of us and everyone absolutely LOVED Deer Haven! The beds were extremely comfortable, the furniture was comfortable, the kitchen is extremely well stocked (one of the best I've seen), there were plenty of towels, and the entire house was extremely clean. The gas fireplace was wonderful and used daily. But....everyone's favorite thing was the deer! The name Deer Haven fits this house perfectly. We had deer every morning in the front yard. Such a joy! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We had a great time, long rainy weekend but still had plenty to do. The house had everything we needed the only complaint was the drive way it was difficult to get up the hill but that part of being in the mountains.

This home had recent updates and upgrades between when we booked and stayed. We were very happy with the hottub upgrade. The house was as listed and actually better. It had everything our two families of 9 total needed to be comfortable. It snowed 3 times we were there and it was wonderful. The electric fireplace was well used. The amount of deer we saw including in our driveway was amazing. The host was gracious enough to let us check in early as we arrived to the area early and check out late due to ice and snow the night before we left. The host answered all emails very quickly. We would definitely stay in this home again.

We celebrated my 40th in style at this Charter Hills property. The house was the cleanest and most comfy rental we’ve stayed in to date! Fresh paint and decor made it even better. We had everything Beech had to offer within a short drive but enjoyed the atmosphere at the house the most! Plenty of space, the pool/ping pong table, outdoor fire pit, two huge decks, this place had it all! The owners were WONDERFUL to work with and every single room was equipped with what we needed. I cannot wait to return to this property for another trip. 10/10 recommend! You won’t regret it!

I am only writing this review because The Evolve Team did not reply to any messages throughout my stay. I have screenshots to back this up. They will not assist you when any problems. The house itself is nice and in a great location. Two of the bedrooms appeared to have dirty sheets. I’m not really picky about sheets but these just appeared to be un washed from the last customers stay. I spent the first night there washing and drying sheets till midnight because we arrived at 8 pm. The dishwasher was loaded and not clean so after dinner we had to wait for that dish washer to finish then unload it and load our dirty dishes from dinner(super annoying). The drain in the hall bathroom upstairs was clogged with hair and would barely drain. I had to pull wads of hair out and still couldn’t get it all. (No exaggeration) The streaming service would often say too many users are watching right now. Also they have two cameras one of witch points in towards the kitchen window. I understand cameras outside but this made some of my family feel uncomfortable. Overall the house was big and spacious with a good location.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at this lovely home! It was spacious and clean. After spending the day at the slopes, the teens and adults had a great time in the lower level game room! Pool table and sticks are in decent shape. I would recommend bringing some chalk for the sticks if you plan on playing. The round table was fun to play cards and/or chess! Beds were extremely comfortable! More than enough towels were available for our family of 5. We did experience a short power outage in the lower level but the owner was very responsive and helpful to get it back on in a timely manner. Even called back the next day to make sure everything was ok! Overall, we would absolutely stay at this rental again!

Great house, would make the following suggestions. Driveway needs maintenance, property management could have turned up the heat ( 50 degrees when we entered), would have liked to have more than one towel/washcloth per person for a three night stay. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

Ingress and egress of your steep driveway were difficult to use due to loose gravel, unstabilized grade and pothole. It gets worse when wet. All other were good.

Loved the stay. Everything we needed was available or a store was close by. The only problem was the drive way was difficult to maneuver because of soft ground and ruts in driveway.

Nice place to stay but the little things.
The house is nice and a good size to fit a group of people. Furniture is generally comfortable. Good proximity to places and things to do on top of Beech Mountain and Banner Elk. Also, the deer are all over the mountain side and very used to humans.
Be prepared for a rough driveway though. I am sure they have it scraped regularly because it is needed. However, if there has been any rain prior to your stay your ride up is going to be bumpy. Overall, the house was clean but there were a couple of items that could have been addressed better. Nothing that was worth calling the property manager about, but enough to mention.

Beech Mountain Getaway
The space was perfect for the 8 of us. 5 teenagers and 3 adults. We all had our own space and were able to get together for meals when the time allowed for us. The house was very warm and inviting. It has everything we needed to cater to each one of our needs. The location was close to what we were there for which was snowboarding and snow skiing. We will definitely use this location in the future.

Great house and hosts!
We stayed here with our family (3 families) including kids and had plenty of space for everyone. The beds were comfy and we loved the big kitchen which was well stocked! The kids loved having the basement to hang out in. We thought it was so cool that the deer came up so close! The house is close enough to enjoy all the attractions nearby but is also cozy enough to stay in and watch football and relax! The host was very responsive when we had a question and very accommodating - would definitely recommend and we might be back next year!

Taylors, Nalls and Berglinds Celebrate Thanksgiving in Beech Mountain
We had an outstanding celebration of Thanksgiving in Beech Mountain. As we have grown to 11 in number, we needed enough space to accomodate a larger group than we could at home. Beach to Beech fit the bill. My grandson Philip told me that this place was neat, upon my arrival there.

Wonderful Getaway
This was the first real trip my family had made since the pandemic. The home was beautiful and very well equipped. We loved sitting on the deck with a glass of wine enjoying the deer that gathered in the yard. We had a little difficulty with the TV as there was a password that was required, but the owner quickly returned our call to get us set up. We really enjoyed our time in Beech Mountain and this property was a big reason for that.

Family Time
Had a wonderful time on Beech Mountain. We were able to get out and walk around the neighborhood. The deer came right up to us at the cabin - almost to tame. The weather at the end of September was wonderful!

The house was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 3 kids. Plenty of room where we weren't on top of each other. Would definitely recommend to friends and we would stay here again!

Stay at Beech Mountain
We enjoyed our family visit to Beech Mountain and Banner Creek.
We would like to note two issues.
1. The driveway up to the house was very difficult to maneuver. There were ruts and potholes in the gravel/ rocks. This really should be fixed.
2. The outdoor furniture was very nice, but because of all the rain before we got there the cushions were sopping wet and pretty much unusable.
The house itself is lovely.

Fantastic cabin for family!
Our family of six adults, a 2-year-old, and a 4-year-old had a great vacation in this cabin! Very clean and comfortable! Kitchen well-stocked for cooking in. Had a little trouble getting in and out of the steep driveway, but owner was very attentive and had it scraped and recovered while we were there! Just a heads up for future renters, the downstairs has two bedrooms and a game room and is not air conditioned. We found a nice fan in the closet on that floor that really helped! Overall, a great experience!

Great Trip
The house was great, and we loved being in Beech Mountain for a family ski trip. The back roads can certainly be difficult to traverse when there is a lot of snow, but we look forward to coming back!

A Great Weekend!!!
Me and my friends had a really great time in Banner Elk. The house was amazing, spacious and cozy. We enjoyed the views and wildlife while sitting in the family/living room playing games and enjoying each others company with lots of laughs. There was more than enough space and the property was very clean and neat. The pillows were pretty uncomfortable, but everything else was amazing. I look forward to coming back to Banner Elk with the same group to create many more memories at this same rental.
