The hotel is exceptionally located at the quayside. Very dog friendly, we were offered a card with details of locally dog friendly restaurants and to-dos. They even provided a bed for our dog for the night! The room was clean with amazing view as described. The breakfast was really good too.
Staffs were very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful!
Car parking is limited on the side of the hotel, we did have a spot because we arrived early. That being said, there are a number of off street parking around.

Great breakfast with plenty of choice - paid £15pp on check in which was almost £3pp cheaper than if we'd paid when we arrived at the restaurant. Location by the river was ideal, although a fairly steep hill into the city centre (we used the bus!) Midday check out was much appreciated.
Nothing, we were very happy with the hotel and our room.

Lovely views, really pleasant staff and a good spot in Newcastle.
We were not there long enough to judge the housekeeping or breakfast service, so there was nothing really.

I liked the design of the room and it was lovely having direct access to the restaurant on the quayside.
It took a very long time to complete housekeeping on Day 1. I was very jetlagged so ended up having to sleep in a chair downstairs between 2pm and 3pm. The member of staff on the front desk could not tell me when the room would be ready so I needed to go and investigate that myself. I have not encountered this issue at a hotel before.....

The usual friendly welcome , modern decor and comfortable bed
Car parking was a little walk away, felt a bit vulnerable leaving my VW camper next to a pub by a ring road. Would have appreciated being able to book a space in the small hotel car park

Did not take breakfast, location good on the QuaySide
Not there long enough to form an opinion

Wonderful hotel, very well located. Rooms were great, clean and comfortable. Staff efficient, friendly and helpful. On site restaurant is fantastic!

Although we had a city view room we had a cheeky river view which was a bonus.
We had the half board which was fantastic value for money the staff were super helpful with any queries.
Fabulous location great for Baltic centre and quayside.
If you wanted coffee in the morning there was a massive queue for the machine and it kept running out of stock which detracted from the otherwise splendid breakfast.
Parking a bit of a chore if you don't get a hotel spot

Good location, Nice views, Very large room service menu.
Nothing that I can think of.

Room was lovely, we had a studio with river view, free mini bar, quick lifts never had to wait, breakfast was good, friendly staff, bright and roomy...
Limited car parking (only 15 spaces) but to be fair Wetherspoons next door has parking both sides and is actually cheaper than the hotel parking, part of the reason I booked there was the Geno D'ocampo Restaurant but having experienced it it was nothing special, I've worked in Italy for 20yrs and we ordered a pizza thinking it would be an authentic Italian pizza as we hadn't been there for a few years, believe me there was nothing Italian about the pizza we were served, the edge's were burnt, you could have got a more authentic pizza at Pizza Express, my wife asked for 3 different drinks because they didn't have what she asked for the first 2 times, we were going to have a dessert but heard the waitress telling a table next door that most of the things they wanted they hadn't got including what we were going to have, plus what desserts did get served were the size of samples of the desserts so we didn't bother... breakfast was good to be fair...

Lovely location and breakfast.
Nothing to dislike

The breakfast was good although it could have been a little warmer. Top marks for the scrambled eggs though they were really nice. The location was very good and the nice helpful and friendly which makes a huge difference.
Some cooked breakfast items could have been a bit warmer.

We were allowed early check in early which allowed myself and my daughter to queue early for a concert we were attending and it made her night. We were so grateful that this could be accommodated. Staff were very accommodating in every way. Lovely breakfast next morning. Really quiet at night so had a great sleep.
The room was a little cold. I struggled to work the Aircon so I think that was the issue.

Location is good. Complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar is a treat.

The style and the vibe. Really clean and modern. Brilliant location.
How much it was to spend one night was a bit pricey. £184 for one night that wasn’t including breakfast.

We stay at the Melia Innside in December every year for a concert at Wylam Brewery, and as always, we love our visit, particularly the great staff at the reception desk, and the rooms with a river view. However, this year we did not like the waiters in the Gino d'Campo restaurant, nor their service, so that was a disappointment as service with a smile means everything to us. Restaurant aside, the hotel is in a great location for walking the river and into Newcastle centre, the breakfast buffet is excellent as always, and we feel at home here. Just do something about the restaurant staff at night, and it will be back to being perfect.
The restaurant staff in the evening, wrong attitude, slow service and indifference.

Tolle Lage am Thyne und kurze Wege zur Altstadt.
Wir hatten das Frühstücksbuffet erst am Morgen dazu gebucht. Auf der Rechnung stand dann der Preis zuzüglich 10% Trinkgeld.
4.5
Very helpful staff and clean room with everything we needed in it.
The river view was great.
The steps down from the train station to the hotel, but this was nothing to do with the hotel.
4.5
Location right on Tyne, our room was less expensive as no river view.
Only a personal gripe about not being able to open a window/no fresh air. Aircon/heating is very good and quiet though.

Space in Townhouse was great as were the views. Gino’s is great and all staff were efficient and friendly.
We had a few minor housekeeping issues
229 sofa had a stain that was there a year ago. The bed didn’t have a mattress topper and the zip and link join was very uncomfortable. One of the towels was dirty. Some of the tv channels are not tuned in.
Patios need cleaning.
One of our colleagues room 228 didn’t have a stocked mini bar, dressing gown or slippers.
The other Townhouse was not made up with a sofa bed as requested.
We were overcharged for parking and had to return to reception to rectify this.

Well located, clean room
Booked to include dinner but we’re not told we had to book a dinner slot prior to arrival so ended up eating in a very late slot at the end of the night. Restaurant extremely noisy.

The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were allocated a corner room on the 4th floor with incredible views across the bridges - this was our favourite thing. The complimentary fridge items were also a nice touch.
Whilst we think the restaurant is a separate entity, the service in there was a bit shoddy and the pricing in there (especially for breakfast) was a little high - perhaps it would be good to get a discount for being a hotel guest.

When I popped down to reception to ask for some more milk, I was handed it straight away… no call to housekeeping and a 15 minute wait. I also liked the open plan nature of the bathroom (with a separate loo) and a nice big shower!
Not being able to park in the car park was a minor irritation, but in no way did that impact my stay as there was parking close to the hotel that you could extend on an app (so didn’t have to get up at 08:00 to buy a ticket!)

The restaurant was over priced for the quality of the food

Possibly the best hotel I’ve been too. Nice, vibrant and most importantly extremely friendly staff. I just need a reason to come here again.
