I stayed with 4 other people so 5 in total, there was a sofa bed and it was the most unhygienic place to sleep ever. I sat on it for 10mins and I had 3 bites on my legs and when I opened the bed there was a dirty rotten sock. Also the mattress was super thin about 1.5cm thick so no one was able to sleep on it therfore our sleeping schedule was very difficult and uncomfortable. Overal the place wasnt too clean and the bathroom and so many bugs also the water was not working at all. So we was all very dissapointed with our experience

Enjoyed our short stay at the property, the only little niggle was the noise from the boiler every now and again throughout the night and during the day - it sounded like fireworks were exploding in the distance each time the boiler heated up. Otherwise everything was fine.
Thanks

The property is a small 2-bedroom wooden cabin with a spacious car park and balcony. The building and furniture felt quite old, but the property was kept to a reasonable cleanliness. I enjoyed staying there with my wife and two infants. The fully equipped kitchen and outdoor table were great. I appreciated that the bedrooms were conducive to sleep due to the black-out curtains and quiet environment. However, multiple minor issues throughout the stay impacted my experience.
Check-in was confusing due to unclear communication about arrival time. I arrived past 4, the check-in time, but I was told that I had come too early and that cleaning was not finished. The internet was virtually unusable on Friday and Saturday (1-3 Mbps) but improved on Sunday and Monday (6 Mbps). Unfortunately, the TV died the day before checkout, and there was no replacement.
Despite these minor issues, the stay was overall okay. The owner was responsive but didn't apologize for the TV issue. To be fair, I think I may have been just unlucky.

There is no towels and if you are travelling from abroad you dont bring your own towels. Washer is ok but dryer doesnt work and very pricey.

It was very a very large property with ample space inside. Easy to access the key for the property and thus can check i at any time of the afternoon or evening. Just a few minutes from a great hiking and mountain biking area.

Online pics show well maintained deck & bench/table; 2x2-seater sofas; pristine white bed linen with fluffy pillows and duvets. Looking at the tree growth today it appears that these photos are many years old.
We found:
A shabby outside with algae on deck and cabin, and ill maintained deck - outside seating dirty and unappealing.
Very wobbly kitchen tap unconnected to sink, owner brushed it off saying the plumber is waiting for a part! The nearby Jewsons, surely could have supplied a new tap? No lamp in either fridge or microwave.
Very uncomfortable sofas, with a large armchair set into the corner, cramping the room. Very heavy circular dining table with an extra 5th chair shoved into the corner, making it difficult to use properly.
Mouldy bottom of patio windows & curtains with insect infestation - owner seemed unconcerned. Insects forever landing in our drinks inside the cabin.
Old, tired. mismatched bed linen with flat pillows and duvets. Twin room wardrobe very awkward to use as doors did not have clearance to open due to bed lengths.
Very old electric shower with no oomph; bathroom basin had a tap that provided hot water only at a trickle.
The mattresses were good, as were the kettle; hob and toaster - didn't use oven or coffee maker.
The TV had very poor volume and picture quality.
Useful information pack. Beautiful location.
Definitely not up to the standard required for today's well travelled seniors.
We would definitely not stay here again.

We recently stayed in one of the cabins and it was spacious, clean, and even provided washing up supplies. Each lodge has ample space with an adequate decking area. Plenty of privacy. We used and loved the dog walking enclosure, this is really useful with so many sheep near by.

This is a quiet little place that ensures total relaxation. Really good location for walks and commutes to pub food and local attractions. The cabin is basic but did the trick, comfy beds too which was great after a long day walking. Would return. Ideal for our old dogs too that appreciated the fake little fire of an evening to cuddle up in front of.

The cabin was in good reach to good walking spots, however, the bed sheets did not seem to have been washed and the overall cleanliness was poor. A used t-shirt was found down the side of the bed and the pillows smelt of aftershave. There were also hairs on the bed sheets and a used towel in one of the cupboards. This seemed particularly unfair after having paid an extra £40 on top of the stay for the cleaning facilities. The property was easy to find from the instructions and there were great walks nearby.

Lovely little break away with the kids, the lodge was everything we expected and more, plenty of equipment the only thing we found we missed was a frying pan. The location is quiet not too much around however we found a lovely little paddling spot 5 minutes up the road, beaches close by, some lovely dog walks. Geoffrey was so helpful throughout our booking and our stay, with regular communication and recommendations of restaurants and things to do 😊 thank you again!

Loverly location, boys enjoyed the play area especially meeting other youngsters. Lodge was everything that was expected and detailed ( although ovens gloves would be a handy addition).
Found a couple of nice beaches within a 30-45 minute drive. Would recommend this site to anyone who wanted a break especially as the on site bar/cafe is available at limited times.
