This home features off street parking, fast WiFi, cable, video surveillance, central heating and cooling, beautiful blue stone patio with gas lighting, modern décor, and a new washer & dryer for 3+ night stays. Our Blueberry guest house on High street is located in the quiet section of Historic Jim Thorpe. It is off of the beaten path, and away from the crowded sidewalks on Broadway... This street is truly one of the best kept secrets in town!
Our home is over 200 years old and was originally built and owned by the Leigh Coal and Navigation company as a housing unit for the anthracite coal miners. There were actually as many as 13 people living in this home at one time!
Seeing the potential that this house and location had to offer (after-all, this is where we fell in love with Jim Thorpe), we enthusiastically set out to make one of the most unique and whimsical homes in town.
No detail has been overlooked... We want your stay here to be perfect, in every way!!

The propery was spotless and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable. My daughters and i enjoyed exploring Jim Thrope during the day and then enjoyed our evening doing puzzles and playing cards. We loved the accommodations so much we are planning to stay there for Thanksgiving.

Simply put, it was outstanding! The location was perfect. Absolutely no traffic on High Street. A 5-minute walk to Broadway. And even less to a great little restaurant (Stone Row Pub). White water rafting, great 25-mile bike outing on the Lehigh Gorge Trail, butterflies and a train ride. Perfect weather and a great three days in Jim Thorpe. Jason’s place is the place to stay!

This was my first time to Jim Thorpe and it did not disappoint! The place was very close to all the stores and restaurants which was great since parking is minimal around town. We had our parking spot right on the property so we left our car there for the weekend. If you are walking to and from the town you have to tackle a hill but honestly, it was a great workout. The entire town is very hilly so it was to be expected. The house was super clean and the beds were comfortable. I was impressed by the attention to detail they put in to ensure my stay was smooth. If I were to go back I would stay here again.

We absolutely loved this property. The location is fantastic- a short (but steep) walk to town, and has its own parking space so you don't have to worry about parking. The home itself is so beautiful- rustic and cozy, but also stylish, modern, and clean. Decor was super cool! We slept in the back bedroom and that bed was so comfortable. Loved the skylights. Jason was very easy to communicate with.

Everything about this property provided for a wonderful stay in historic Jim Thorpe. The vibe is contemporary with beautiful stained glass windows, but the construction also pays homage to the home's history. The seating areas and beds were comfy, and the supplies in the kitchen and bathroom were just right for the 4 of us. The house is situated on a quiet street overlooking historic Jim Thorpe with outdoor seating, providing wonderful views of the town and the surrounding mountains. The host was very responsive throughout the booking process and accommodated our parking which can be scarce at certain times of the day. We embraced the rigorous walks from the home to downtown and back again, and found a variety of historic sights as well as restaurants to enhance our visit. We would love to return to the area and hope that this property would be available in the future.

We stayed the weekend at an exceptional house in Jim Thorpe. It was very clean and had all the comforts of home. We had a cozy house to come home to during Winterfest. The owners were easy to communicate with, and the house is even more beautiful in person then in the photos.

The owners were gaving some issues with the VRBO site at first but we were abke to get through to them by phone. They couldnt have done any better in providing all the essentials - many nice touches and thouggtfulness. Beds were comfortable.

Stayed Wednesday to Saturday morning. The house is on a quiet street in Jim Thorpe that is not travelled much. It’s a short walk down town to the shops and restaurants. The house outside of the house was decorated for Halloween and looked great. The inside was clean, quiet, and peaceful. While it rained Saturday morning before leaving hearing the rain on the sky lights in the bedroom was relaxing. A great place to stay!

What a wonderful property. The owners had just added a whole Halloween decorative scene at the front of the home and on the patio, including a two story tall skeleton! So much fun. Inside, we found EVERYTHING we could have wanted or needed. I never tired of looking around and noticing the details of the amenities, accessories and construction/design details. It was obvious a lot of love went into this home. We enjoyed it thoroughly and would not hesitate to stay here again!!

Beautiful terraced town. Short distance to Penn's Peak. Enjoyed walking around admiring the varied architecture. Home was spotless. Very comfortable. Lots of privacy. Grocery store is a short driving distance (does close at 8pm). Easy quiet town that comes alive at 11 am for those who want to shop. Breakfast at Broadway Grill was delicious. You can reserve a table on the balcony for a view of the beautiful town.

No hesitation to recommend this property. Beautifully renovated historic building a very short walk to downtown. Stayed 4 nights and didn't move our car the whole time. Parking in this town is pretty horrible, so very nice having your own spot. Beautiful interior, nice patio(s), extensive amenities and ample towels, bedding and such. One of the cleanest properties we have experienced.

This whimsical property was exactly that! It was as described in the listing and had everything you need for a getaway. Rooms were large with no small details overlooked. We enjoyed the eclectic vibe of the home and felt at home there. We parked our car and walked everywhere which I didn’t expect. We will definitely book this property again.

We had a terrific stay. The first thing I noticed was how absolutely perfectly clean everything was. Most everything inside is wood which makes it a bit rustic yet it still feels modern. It’s also worth noting that the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. And if you plan on walking into town it is quite a climb uphill back to the house.

The house was in a great location very close to historic downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. The house was comfortable and nicely updated with a well stocked kitchen which we needed. The bathroom was on a separate floor from the bedrooms, which would be an issue for older people.

When we booked this location we were unaware of the existence of High street in JT, in spite of visiting this town over many years. This beautiful home is perched overlooking Broadway! It’s a very short, easy walk to the Old Prison or simply head in the opposite direction to arrive on Race St. The house was clean and comfortably decorated. The renter was easy to communicate with and quickly responded to questions. For all of you who are concerned about parking in JT, this location offers quiet, off street parking. This is the perfect spot; peaceful and quiet yet “in town”.
