**About our pricing model**
Because every property on VRBO (and other short term rental websites) are owned by a different owner, they will all have their own house rules and pay structures. We use a variable pricing model to give our guests more flexibility - dependent on the size of your group. Comparable property's to this will mostly be priced at a flat rate for 6 guests. But because our property has (surprisingly) received a lot of bookings in the past from solo couples (2 guests), we wanted to best accommodate this by starting at a decreased base price, and then allowing the price to be adjusted accordingly, dependent on the group size. So if you have 4-6 guests in your reservation, the pricing then increases to make it comparable to the other 6 guest property's in the area. We do conduct regular analysis' and comparisons, and we feel we have priced this property fairly and comparable to other similar spaces in the area - the only difference is it can vary dependent on your group size. Please reach out if you have any questions in regards to this.
>>>LOYALTY PROGRAM: Stay with us twice (at the same property), and you’ll receive 5% OFF of your stays FOR LIFE at that property. If you make it to 10 stays, then we will give you one free night to stay with us at any of our properties.

Tower Grove Park
This wooded Victorian strolling park rewards meandering. Its 340 kinds of trees could chart every shade of green, and they attract 200 kinds of birds, from red-shafted flickers and monk parakeets to ospreys and ring-billed gulls. Henry Shaw developed the park to give St. Louis “a grand pleasure ground,” with wide lanes for horse-drawn carriages, gates guarded by zinc griffins, and exotic pavilions and gazebos. Every few feet, there’s something to see: lions copied from the tomb of Pope Clement XIII, heroic sculptures (Shakespeare’s here), busts (including Mozart), and antiquities (columns from the Old Courthouse and stone “ruins” from the old Lindell Hotel, reflected in one of the most picturesque ponds in St. Louis). Park officials also recently uncovered a long-forgotten stream on the park's east side, accenting it with rain gardens and native plants on either side.

Perfect little stay for our family of 5. Close to almost anything you’d want to do in St. Louis!
4.9
Very unique place with lots of neat touches. Great access to downtown.

My family enjoyed our stay. It is an older home where the floors creak and the stairs are narrow but there were many updates. We felt comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed for our visit. Host was responsive when asking about the washer. Overall my family enjoyed visiting St. Louis and the Rustic City Inn worked great for us.

We stayed one night at Rustic City Inn. The home was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen/bathrooms were very nice. The neighborhood was safe and easy access to downtown and interstates. Be careful of Google maps-Flad Street end and continues in several places, you will need to improvise directions. Host very accessible via VRBO app and responsive. Would stay again and would recommend.

It's a cute place in a really great neighborhood. We loved that there were several cafes within walking distance. The house itself is nice enough for an older building, as well. There were just a few things that we noticed as time went by that keep me from giving this 5 stars:
-It wasn't fully clean. The showers were dirty, there was a dirty hand towel in one bathroom, one of the rugs had crumbled up food on it, there were cobwebs in the blonds and some corners, and the mirrors, televisions, and many other surfaces were greasy. They had originally let us know that the cleaning person was very busy that weekend, so this may just be the fault of that, but it definitely looked like they had missed cleaning some areas.
-It was uncomfortably hot upstairs in the bedrooms. The AC was locked so we couldn't turn it down, which meant that the house couldn't get cool enough upstairs for the upper 90-degree days we were there. I'm sure the place is lovely in the spring and fall, but I wouldn't recommend it in the heat of the summer.
-I also wouldn't recommend more than 2 couples stay there despite there being 3 bedrooms. To get to the upstairs bathroom from one of the bedrooms, you have to walk through the other bedroom, which wouldn't work well if someone was staying in it.
-Also, the furniture on the upper decks isn't what is shown. The deck that shows the Adirondack chairs has nothing on it and doesn't feel stable when you walk on it. My husband was disappointed by that.

Everything about this place was great with two exceptions. It is in a great location and neighborhood. Being an older building was not surprised by narrow steep stairs, squeaky floorboards. What bothered me was lack of lamps/ lighting in bed rooms and living room and the limited use of thermostats to 72 degrees. Too hot at night for our usual sleeping habits. These were only reasons I did not give a 5 star rating.

Nice 2 story home with back porch and yard. It was clean and well-furnished. Our only suggestion is that is not great for senior adults; the stairs are narrow and all bedrooms upstairs, also stairs to get into the house. I should have read the description more carefully.

I lived in St. Louis for grad school and stayed in this VRBO with 3 friends for our 10-year reunion. The house was pretty and well-maintained, but we couldn't so much as have lunch at the house with our other friends without clearing it through the property manager first (so we skipped it) and a week after our stay I was asked if we'd broken a coffee pot we didn't notice, let alone use. I'm not sure if this is an STL short-term rental thing or unique to the property, but I've never dealt with so many rules and so much scrutiny from a property manager/owner in any other VRBO or other short-term rental I've stayed in any other city.

The Rustic Inn provided a beautiful backdrop for a special weekend. Our family of 4 had plenty of room and enjoyed the historic home.

Very comfortable house in an excellent neighborhood. Prompt effective communication from the manager. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We visited STL from the East Coast to visit our daughter who works at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, a short walk/drive away! The Rustic City Inn was perfect for what we needed! Spacious and well-appointed! Loved eating breakfast on the back-covered deck! Would love to stay again. Thanks!

A short trip to do some tourist things in St Louis. The house was great. Good location and easy to navigate to various places.

My family enjoyed our stay in this Tower Grove home. It was in a very nice location to activities. Felt safe in the neighborhood.
Host was very responsive during pre-booking and afterwards.

Myself and two friends met up for a weekend in St. Louis for a little reunion (we all lived here years ago). Great location, close to the Tower Grover Farmers Market and lots of fun new venues close to downtown and easy to get to the Zoo. Plenty of space in the living room to sit around and chat and super cute bedrooms and back porch and deck.

This was our first Vrbo experience and out first trip to St. Louis. We had a great time and this was such a great experience. The property was wonderful and conveniently located. The owners were responsive to communication and easy to work with.
4.9
We enjoyed our stay here. The owners have taken great care in providing a comfortable well decorated home. The home was very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The bed we slept in was very comfortable and the linens were very nice. Thoughtful to leave a great manual with household rules and directions as well as local restaurant suggestions. A few things to consider: if you were mobility challenged - stairs to go upstairs to the bedrooms are narrow and steep. There is a suite below which you need to be aware of and mindful.

Beautiful house! We came to St. Louis for my son’s birthday weekend and this was perfect. The house was clean, it was extremely easy to communicate with the hosts, and it was a short drive to downtown St. Louis. It was nice to be able to cook breakfast and not have to eat out for every meal and we were all able to chill on the couch and watch TV after our busy days.

We traveled to St Louis with our two adult sons. We chose this property due to location and number of rooms. The neighborhood is very cute and near the botanical garden which is a very cool place! Walkable to several restaurants. Everything we wanted to see in St Louis was a 10-15 minute drive, very convenient. The house had everything we needed. We liked the two outdoor spaces as well. Place is decorated well and very welcoming. There are two sets of steep stairs on either side of the house to get to the upper level where the bedrooms are. Would definitely stay again if we’re back in St Louis.

Overall we were comfortable. Had some trouble finding working outlets. Good location, felt safe.
Having an apartment below us was a little challenging with our small children. Don’t rent if you have trouble with climbing stairs. Nice kitchen for cooking in and also close to restaurants.
4.9
Had a nice stay at a nice place. Could have used a little more TP supply for four people. Also, not a fan of the loose rugs on the staircases. Overall though, it was in good condition, well appointed and a good experience.
4.9
Great for our family and friends. Just need to get lock on first floor bathroom fix. Otherwise a very good place to stay.
4.9
Great accommodations and owner super to work with

Very cool, well equipped house, just perfect for our family of 5 who were in town for a family wedding. We really appreciated the little extras like K cups, flavored creamer, shampoo, toilet paper, and paper towels, and the basket of breakfast snacks. The location was convenient to all the places we needed to go and easy to get to from the airport. The only little snafu was an unexpected broken water heater which our host was able to fix the same day. We really appreciated that. This was our first trip to St Louis as a family, and we really enjoyed it!
4.9
Liked the location and the accommodation.
4.9
Neat and clean house, everything for a comfortable stay. Excellent communication throughout with property manager / owner.
4.9
Close to the hospital when I needed to be close

The Shaw/Tower Grove Neighborhood was such a perfect location to stay, and this home was a lovely landing pad. The photos were accurate, except the house seemed bigger, in my opinion! The home has a steep staircase to enter, and a steep staircase to go upstairs to the bedrooms and second bathroom. The hosts provided Keurig cups, ground coffee and filters in the lovely kitchen. We did not get to use the back deck because of the weather/temperatures, but it looked great! We never had an issue with parking on the street, and were able to park directly in front of the home every day of our stay. If we return to this area, we would stay here again
4.9
This Shaw home was just right for us. The neighborhood was quiet and unique. Sasha’s on Shaw is a great neighborhood bar/ restaurant.
4.9
My family traveled to St. Louis for a concert weekend. The home was beautiful and the accommodations were just what we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay! The neighborhood was perfect and surrounded by beautiful fall trees. We felt safe in the home and would definitely stay here again!
4.9
Whilst the location suited us and the house was quite spacious, it does need some updating. The floorboards were very creaky in the bedrooms making it difficult to move around without disturbing others.
Also, we do not believe that the basement flat should be let out separately as it caused a number of problems during our stay. Firstly with some young people who did not in anyway comply with the rules and we had to get the owners out to resolve the situation.
Secondly, there is no sound insulation between the basement and the house and in the kitchen of the main house and you can hear conversations going on in the basement.
The air conditioning is on the same system as the main part of the house which meant that it was very cold in the basement when the main house was just ok. When some family members joined us for the second part of our stay and stayed in the basement, they found it extremely noisy as the air conditioning ducts are on the ceiling of the bedroom and all exposed. Also the basement living area was very small and dark and does not have sufficient cooking facilities even to heat water, only a microwave.
4.9
Wonderful stay. Clean, comfortable and quiet.

Our stay was great. The property was clean and easy to access. The owner had great communication. Thanks for letting us visit!
