We had a great time and the house was beautiful. We enjoyed so much needed family time. It was clean and we love where located. There is plenty of room park your boat trailer house has a very nice dock and huge hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked, and the beds are comfortable. Our only complaint is there are zero bathroom towels and I did not see that listed. I also never received check out instructions.

Our family had a wonderful week at Hemingway Point. Well stocked kitchen, property is as described. Comfortable beds, great layout and we lived the large dining table. Only downside was the rough waters down at the dock, no fault of the owners just a busy part of the lake.
Thanks for a great stay!

The dock lets out into open water. Easy to do sports not far from "home." Enjoyable watching traffic meander past.
Good location to get to a number of marinas and attractions.

Well equipped house with easy lake access and beautiful views!

The house was great although could use a deep clean. Several questions to property owner left unanswered including “where are flashlight or candles” during power outages - first lasted 5 hours second was at night so likely 4-5 hours. Batteries to fire alarms went off during power outage indicating no back up. Owner can’t help outage during storm - I get it. But could’ve used some sympathy and responsiveness.

We loved our stay here at Norris Lake! Beds for everyone and the huge dining room table had enough seats for the whole family, which we’ve never gotten to do before! Many of the properties around had tons of stairs to get down to the water, this property has a slope with few stairs at the bottom. Overall it was easily accessible for everyone except our 86 year old Grandma, who did have trouble with the slope as it was steep at points. With some help she was able to make it down the hill to the dock and the water, but something to keep in mind that we didn’t necessarily anticipate. The kids loved the hammock chairs and the bunk room! Two fridges for all the fam needed for the week and good parking space in front of the house. Having the dock attached to the property was wonderful, we took our boat out multiple times every day! Thank you for a great stay!

Second time at this property. Great location close to Shanghai. Great week. House is well stocked with all the dinnerware you need. Gas grill is great for cooking for large groups. House is very nice. Dock gets a little choppy when it is busy but it is expected in that spot. Close to the golf course is nice also.

House suited our needs very well, we had 10 people ranging from 3-70yr. Bedrooms were spread apart on each side of the house to help alleviate noise. Huge family room areas, kitchen extremely well equipped. Internet and streaming, very spotty. In fact, my gps took me to wrong house and I couldn’t get ahold of Trent(not his fault) to figure out what the problem was. Deck was very nice outside looking over lake. Absolutely gorgeous view. Kids loved the hot tub(which needed more water) and the hammock swings. The drive up to Norris Lake is quite an event. If you get car sick at all, take Dramamine! Narrow, hilly, winding roads. House was marginally clean, had a few minor issues. Would have been nice to have a railing on the way to the dock as steps were very steep. And didn’t play pool because of only 1 cue stick. Our biggest issue was the trash. With 10 people eating and drinking for a week, we had tons of trash. It was never picked up in the bin in front of the house and we had it packed in there. We found no recycling , which would have alleviated a lot of the trash problem. Maybe suggest that to the home owners association? Unless we missed something. All in all, it was wonderful!

Lack of amenities. Deerfield Resort not up to promo.
Lack of games, only one working pool cue. Lack of door in master suite bath. Lack of bach towels. Lack of efficient heat/cool control. Some areas hot while others cold.
Lack of information about home and area.

We stayed here at the end of July with 6 adults and 7 kids. Plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room. House was clean and communication leading up to the trip was excellent.
Location was great (3 min boatride to Shanghai Marina where we rented our boat). There was a lillypad at the dock that the kids really enjoyed. And we all loved relaxing in the hammock chairs.

Amazing place. It was very clean and comfortable. The trip to the dock was great, not too steep. Had all the appliances needed. Really enjoyed our stay.
Could have used another pool stick. There was o Lu one. Maybe have a backup locked in a cabinet that housekeeping can put out. We also lived seeing all the deer

Excellent property. Very well stocked for a large group. Only negative is the dock moves around quite a bit during the busy time of the day. Great location

We have been coming to Norris Lake for over 30 years with our families. We love it at the lake. This home was one of the best layouts for our family. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the large dining table. The only issue we had, was being on the point, there was a lot of boat traffic. Our docked boat got jostled around a lot and it was hard to swim or float off the dock. The house could use some spring cleaning, kitchen cabinets, window ledges, blinds, cold air ducts and the the outside deck table’s hadn’t been wiped off for a long time.

Follow the winding mountain roads littered with lush gorgeous scenery! Nature everywhere! We saw countless deer on our drive to the house. Big deer! The pictures on the posting do not give this home justice. The views are lovely. Our bed was comfy and the home had everything we needed and more. I would love the opportunity to stay at this incredible home again! Trent made it effortless! We had a party of 15 and had plenty of room! Absolutely beautiful home that helped us make awesome memories. Thank you Trent for allowing us to create such a memorable time in the beautiful Hemingway Point.

House layout is great, we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and the hot tub. Overall great experience, just need to remember to bring your own towels!

The owner was very prompt responding and property was as identical to online listing. Beautiful furnishings and made it feel like a vacation home and not just visiting someone’s lake house. Hemingway theme carries through out and is a great touch if you are familiar with him. View of the lake was perfect from all back windows and porches. Huge dining table to fit the entire crowd. This made for special dinners. Cell phone service is non existent BUT the house WIFI is full house and very strong and easy to connect. Great TVs every room. Fireplace area was roomy (just need to bring your own chairs down there). Drive there was the less desirable part as it takes a good 30+minutes from the main highway to snake back to the lake and is secluded on north part of lake. So it depends where you are driving in from. Great overall experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our first trip to pristine Norris Lake. In regards to Hemmingway Pointe the kitchen was well equipped for all cooking needs. Spacious and tastefully furnished. The extras...such as outdoor fireplace for smores...lily pad for little ones...hot tub for adults..and pool table added so much to our experience. Thank you.

This was was worth every bit. Home was clean, open living space with plenty of seating. The pool table and and rec space in basement allowed everyone to spread out and not be on top of one another. Walk to the boat slip was not bad at all. Very easy compared to post houses. We would definitely stay here again. Any questions with property owner were answered very quickly. I highly recommend this home for big gatherings.

Our Hemingway Pointe Vacation
We chose Hemingway Pointe for our family reunion vacation. There were 10 adults and 4 kids, and the home was the perfect size and location for us. It has plenty of room and a beautiful lake view. It is in a great location to get to marinas and the jumping bridge, and is close to many wooded coves for a quiet time on a boat. Trent was very helpful and responsive to questions ahead of our visit. The home had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely stay at Hemingway Pointe again.

Exceeded expectations
If you are looking for the perfect lake home for a large group, you found it. Its even better than the pictures. Wonderful beds, high quality bedding, plenty of bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook for a group, beautiful hot tub, comfortable furniture inside and out and plenty of room upstairs and down for our party of 10 adults. We ate all of our meals on the porch, overlooking the lake, and played games there the one day it rained. We rented brand new jet skis and a speed boat from Springs Dock marina and were very pleased with their service. We stayed a week before Memorial Day weekend and were surprised how warm the lake was. Everyone was in the water! All and all a great vacation in a spacious, immaculately clean rental.

Family Christmas Gathering
We were pleased with the accommodations. It was roomy, clean and well equipped. Even though it is mainly a summer resort the pool table offered an indoor activity. My Grand kids loved the hammocks. It provided our family a place to enjoy visiting and playing games, with privacy too. I would recommend this place.

Trip to the River
The view is great. House has all amenities as advertised. Rooms are specious. When we arrived, water heater was not working, however property manager took every steps to resolve it ASAP. I visited with my friends and families and everyone enjoyed the stay. I would highly recommend this property, and may book again.

A Wonderful Getaway at Hemingway Pointe!
Our family met at Hemingway Point for a 4 day getaway just prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday. The property was gorgeous with a stunning view of the lake. We had a group of 9, and the property holds up to 22, so we had lots of room. The open concept works here, and the open views, great upper and lower decks and easy access to the dock was perfect. We used the provided Blackstone Grill every night for dinner. Our granddaughters loved the pool table, hot tub and outdoor fireplace. We rented a pontoon boat from the local marina on Norris Lake and picked up the family at the property dock and enjoyed a cool but not cold outing all afternoon. Trent, the owner and contact was great; he was immediately available via text then phone to answer a couple of questions for us. I recommend this propery very highly!

Batchelor Family Georgia/Florida Get-Togather
Most delightful! FYI - Toaster didn't work. The large dining room/living room/kitchen was great for all of us to be together and the porches and bedrooms were positioned in a way that you could pull away for some quiet time alone. Beautiful setting on the lake with the mountains in the background! Absolutely beautiful!!
