We had a wonderful stay! The property was well maintained and the owners were very thoughtful in what they provided at the house.

The overall experience was ok. The bedroom downstairs was a little musty either from age or damp carpets but nothing too terrible and the fridge wasn't cleaned from the previous stay but the owners were great and quick to respond to any questions

This cabin in the woods was a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of life and relax. It had all the comforts of home and was in a convient and beautiful location to visit Lake Catherine State Park, Hot Springs National Park, and Crater of Diamonds State Park. My family loved the place and would definetly come back!!

I had high hopes for this stay. The community is declining with massive pot holes and dated playground equipment. Pool was nice but being held together with patches. However, this was the best thing my kids enjoyed. Upon arrival found house sadly not clean to our standard. The porch has not been swept, but would have let that go, but inside, we found refrigerator with mold and old food in trays. Microwave handle was broken. Limited kcups and no coffee for main coffee pot, which is no biggie. Lower floor bedroom and closet had mice trays and poop all over. Every mattress needs to be replaced because they seem to be over 10 years old, and cant be covered over with mattress toppers. Not sure if they have bed bugs but we woke up every day with bites. We understood no wifi which we were prepared for but Dish has very very limited channels to. Note one TV in living room. Outdoor grill is rusted and falling apart, they had charcoal grill but no supplies, just FYI. Creek is non-existent on property and dry. I would never leave this review but our family was highly disappointed. It is located near many things and we made a point to visit the nearby state park, hot springs parks, little rock and more. Highly recommend science museum and discover so many fun activities. I hope for better for this property. Red Oak Fillin Station restaurant is also best BBQ around.

Amazing cabin great property, only problem is if you arrive after 5 pm you are out of luck, unless its on bingo night .

We had fun the place was really pretty. The only thing I can complain about with the actual cabin is that whoever was there before put fish down the garage disposal and it didn't work and stuck really bad. The drains in kitchen would back up because of this bad part is none of us like fish or anything out of the water so that was a really bad smell. The cabin could have been cleaned a little better the tub and dusting away cobwebs but other than that we really enjoyed our stay. Hope to do it again sometime.

The house was perfect for our family of 5. Inside had everything we needed and the outside had plenty of space for kids to play and they enjoyed the tree swing. The community is gated and had a fun old school playground that our kids loved. Close to Lake Catherine park for hiking was perfect!

The house is located in a gated community about a 20 minutes drive from downtown Hot Springs. The setting is far off the highway on a beautiful wooded lot. When the hardwoods are leafed out there would be no other homes in view, and even in winter the two or three homes that can be seen are remote and screened. So quiet. Great fire pit that we filled with small downed limbs scattered about. The house is very nice, two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs with its own bathroom. Easy access with the code. Beautiful living space with windows all around for great light inside. The deck is spacious and has four lounge chairs for enjoying the outdoors. The kitchen is well-equipped and everything works. We did most of our own cooking and just had fun. Would certainly go back again! Hot Springs is a wonderful town to visit, with lots of things to do, great hiking in the national forest, and of course the hot springs themselves. We took advantage of bath/massage services and felt great. Museums, and good food all around!

Nice quiet and beautiful area, and property described as is. Large bedrooms and kitchen and very comfortable. The inside did have a musty odor when we arrived, but went away after a day. The outside temperature was extremely hot and humid, which I believe the A/C may have been turned off prior to our arrival which played a role in the odor. Overall the inside was clean, but noticed cobwebs at top of the walls in one of the bathrooms and fart fans extremely dirty.

It was a lovely property and very peaceful but the only problem I had was it wasn’t very clean. Carpet was grimy and toilets weren’t clean and it was dusty. Besides that it was a nice trip.

We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. The house is in a wonderful area and is so peaceful and quiet. It's fairly close to everything in town. We absolutely loved the little notes around the house, they are very helpful. We all enjoyed the porch so much and overall it just felt very homey. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to Arkansas.

Loved the location of this site. It advertising pool, however, it is only open on the weekends. That was a downer. I get this location is in wooded area and was prepared for that, however the entry door was heavy covered in cob webs and took a big to clear out. There was a lot of spilled trash at the road that didnt make a great first impression. Once inside, 1 bedroom had dead bugs visible on the carpet and the sheets were questionable. The other upstairs bedroom had again large cobwebs in the corners of the room which made it a little unsettling until we knocked them down. The downstairs bathroom unusable dirty. Maybe the host lives away from this site and is depending on housekeeping if that is the case they may want to look at a new service. I just didnt feel very welcomed and for the money we paid we shouldn't had to do it. It was like I walked into a cabin that had been closed up and no attention in months. Maybe that was the case. But again, After I got past all that fixed what we needed to it was very enjoyable and loved the location.

Quite cabin. With enough room for 6 people with extra to spare. If your pulling a trailer there is room in front of the home but if it's bigger than a 32ft it will be to long to park in front, and you cannot get in the driveway with a truck and trailer because it's a single width on an incline. The home does have a barbque grill also. Overall it was a nice place to stay and worked for us.

Such a beautiful place. Clean ,comfortable and out in nature. My family had a wonderful time. The hammock chairs are the perfect place to watch fireflies at night. It is close to garvan gardens and the lake. The owner was so friendly and kind to bring us the pool pass. The pool was amazing.

I rented this place and came with my two kids (12 and 8), my parents, and my sister. We absolutely loved it! I was a little surprised at first when I realized it was in a gated community, but that just adds to the perks of this place! Even though it’s technically in a neighborhood, there’s no one close by! At all! You have the whole, wooded block to yourself! It’s super quiet at night, and the cabin is perfectly furnished for your every need! We spent a lot of time outside under the balcony in the hammock swings just hanging out at night, and we did make a fire one night in the provided pit to cook hot dogs and marshmallows on it. The next big thing that was great about this property is that it’s only about 20 minutes away from downtown Hot Springs! So, you can stay in the woods with your family at night but go into town during the day to see the sights and eat at Superior Bathhouse and Brewery (it was my favorite!). We all decided that we would definitely look into getting this place again if it is still available next time we want to come to Hot Springs!

Quiet Evenings
My wife and I stayed for two evenings. We were visiting friends in the area and also did some touristy things in Hot Springs. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. We didn't have cell service in the house or surrounding property but that wasn't really all that big a problem. We rested and recharged, relaxing on the deck and walked around the neighborhood.

Lovely
Very secluded, and lovely. Only 20 minutes or so to town where there a lots of restaurants and grocery! (We loved the Purple Cow, it’s so cute!) The property is perfect for a small family. We especially loved how quiet it was and loved having coffee on the porch! We hope to be back.

Great home!
We enjoyed our stay! The property was very clean and had a very large yard. It’s located very close to the Lake Catherine State Park and only about 30 minutes from Downtown Hot Springs. Some of our favorite activities were hiking at Lake Catherine, the Mid America science museum and tubing the Caddo River.

Quiet Neighborhood
It was easy to rent, property was clean, the neighboorhood was quiet and really close to the state park. Hiking trails were amazing, and just 30min yo downtown hot springs.

Better than the beach
Whole family thoroughly enjoyed this trip. We wanted a place that was secluded enough to feel woodsy, but close enough to civilization to where it didn’t feel like camping. This place was perfect! Had trails to take the kids hiking, lakes for swimming and a community pool if you didn’t want to stray to far from home that day. The mid America science museum was amazing! Places to eat and shop in hot springs. And the cabin was perfect! Three bedrooms set us up nicely and we did almost all of our meals at home, either grilling or cooking . Highly recommend this for anybody looking to get away to the woods and still have some amenities of modern life.

A Learning Experience
After a year and more than 6 other stays, this listing taught us that what is NOT said in the listing is as important as what is said.
First- we were asked to wait until 4 to check in, when our information and the info in the unit said 3.
Second-master retreat means a king bed and 3 drawers in a room that is also the primary entry point, and has no door of its own. Or closet. I mean, there is a closet, no hangers, and we had to store the owners delivery, so we just didn’t use it.
Third- the “short drive” into Hot Springs was 30 minutes. What the listing doesn’t say is it is the same drive for groceries and whatnot.
THERE IS NO INTERNET and we could not get the satellite to work.
On day 5 we had to rob lightbulbs from other fixtures for the kitchen.
While it was nice and quiet, we have paid less per night for Much MUCH nicer places that were getaways, and there are much nicer properties at the same price closer to Hot Springs.
