We had a fantastic vacation at 5 o’clock somewhere. Bill was great to deal with. He responded immediately with any questions.
I felt the house looked nicer in person than it did in the pictures. It was bigger than we needed. Everything was clean. One of the surprisingly nice amenitie was having two full fridges on the top floor. There was a mini fridge on the middle floor on the bottom floor, out by the pool. There was also a freezer on the pool level for extra ice which was nice.
The house is located in a private community, and the beach is not crowded because of this.
The rear decks can all access the pool.
It was also nice to have a gas grill included. We usually have to rent one every year.
Thanks again, Bill, will come back!

House was exactly what was listed. The free dozen bagels were a lovely addition to staying. William was in touch prior to check in and day of check out so I had all the information.

Our family group enjoyed the three levels of common space and plentiful decks with good views. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare four different theme dinners and lots of plates, bowls, coffee cups and drinking glasses. A few more plastic cups and plates for children and insulated thermoses for beach drinks would be a nice addition.
The house is stocked with games and puzzles and beverage fridges. Plenty of sheets and towels were provided.
We liked the curtainless walk-in showers in some of the bathrooms. Upgrading some of the queen beds to kings would be welcome, as would updating the sofas on the top floor. They were a bit worn so we covered with extra bed sheets.
The house is at the end of a gravel pipe stem, the very furthest walk in the small neighborhood to the beach. We searched for a “cut through” more direct path to the beach, unsuccessfully. By the end of the week we all loaded our arms and bikes for a quicker ride to the beach.
Take advantage of the wonderful walking/biking path on the main road, especially mornings when the path is mostly shaded. Harris Teeter and shops are an easy trip by path from the house.
Overall Five O’Clock is a good value and nice venue for a family gathering.
Accessing the house (check in) was easy and the owner was a good communicator

Our family loves returning to this Beach House every year.
A pleasant walk to the beach (2 blocks), room for 2 trucks, 1 van, and 2 SUV’s to park, great location at the end of the road, very clean, wonderful owner, lots of beach supplies. It’s perfect for us. Great family time.

This was the perfect place for our family vacation! We were a group of seven adults and seven children (ranging from 10 years to 16 years of age). There was ample sleeping and bathroom space for everyone. The kitchen was great for cooking meals for the crowd, and the living room had plenty of seating for relaxing. The multiple decks on both sides of the house allowed for relaxing and enjoying views of the ocean and the sunsets. The pool and hot tub were a hit with the younger crowd, and the grilling area was used two different nights. The pool table saw many match-ups from young to old. The owner was very quick to answer our questions during our stay. All in all, this was a wonderful experience for our family! We would definitely recommend this property.

It was a beautiful house. It had several beds (including sofa beds and inflatable beds). It may look small at first but it’s pretty spacious, especially the kitchen and the bathrooms. It’s was a nice walk to the beach and the house had many beach supplies. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Five O'Clock Somewhere was a great house for our multi-age family group. There is so much space in the house that's it's easy to spread out and have your own space or to all be together at the same time. The walk to the beach and to the grocery store and ice cream shop were very easy. The house had all the amenities we needed. The owner was great to deal with. He contacted us about a problem when we arrived that we hadn't even realized existed yet. And he worked to resolve the problem expediently. The Friday check-in is great for avoiding most of the traffic. We would love to return next year.

The house is furnished with just about anything you would need in the kitchen, including steamers and crock pots. Storage room has everything for the beach including wagon, Lawn chairs, toys, floats and plenty of pool toys. Ice cream store, Harris Teeter, Duck Donuts and pizza parlor just a short walk.

First and foremost, we have nothing but great things to say about the property owner. Very responsive, kind, and considerate that we had everything we needed for a great week! So thankful for everything he did to make our vacation stay so wonderful!
The property was perfect for our large family. Plenty of rooms, bathrooms, and general space for all of us from infants to adults. There was even enough seating for all of us from couches/chairs to kitchen table/chair space (which is often a hard find with an extra large group!) The only thing i would caution some renters about is that there are a lot of stairs to climb in the house. With the kitchen and great room being on the top(3rd) level, you're nearly certain to have to climb some stairs. Otherwise, the house is set up so nicely with rooms/bathrooms on each level and open concept. The private pool was a big hit with us, the proximity to the beach was awesome, as well as the proximity to grocery stores and restaurants, etc. We had a wonderful time, thank you!!

We had an excellent experience at IFOCSW! Great communication, everything we needed and more..we have stayed in MANY beach houses & this by far was the most well- stocked kitchen & beach accessories as well. Loved that linens & beach towels were included & check out was a breeze. Highly recommend!

We had an awesome vacation in the OBX and this house was perfect for our large family. Everyone had their own space and the walk to the beach was just right. Even the littles (2,3&4 yr olds) were able to do the walk after being on the beach all day. Thank you so much for sharing your house with us it had everything we needed. We even donated some pool floats when we left.

We stayed August 12-19. Everything was absolutely perfect except for the grill. The previous group left the grilling surface extremely messy and they used all the gas in TWO propane tanks!

We stayed here with two other couples and all of our children. It was a great experience!

We had a wonderful time. Even though the walk to the beach was further than expected, there was a beach wagon to help with bringing all the beach toys and chairs. The kids loved the pool, the beach toys and pool table. Loved having lots of space for everyone.
Make sure to get the complimentary bagels at Lighthouse Bagels. They were amazing (especially the french toast bagels).

Would return - yes!
Very comfortable property. Location is a end of street and private with plenty of parking. The kitchen is well equipped, The two refrigerators are a plus. The walk to the beach is a bit longer than anticipated but very doable.
The three-star for cleanliness was due to one bedroom on the lower level which apparently the cleaners had missed. All other bedrooms in the home were clean.
Pool and hot tub were cared for mid-week.
Location between Duck and Corolla was convenient with Harris Teeter store nearby.

Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time at this home. The location is perfect! There is a nice breeze and view of the ocean from the deck. It is a short walk to the beach. A grocery store is within walking distance. The kids loved the pool, all of the beach toys, games and pool table. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need! Make sure to get the complimentary bagels at Lighthouse Bagels ( awesome ). The owner was very responsive to our needs. We had an amazing time!

This place was super nice. Disappointed that the hot tub did not work right. Only worked the second day and last day for a while. Previous problems with the hot tub should have been disclosed when rented. First night the bugs outside were out of control but it had rained for several days prior to us arriving. Other then that it was great!

Relaxing vacation
The property was just like described. Bill was quick to answer all my questions before and even during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need including a keurig, regular coffee pot, crockpot, and plenty of space in the 2 full size refrigerators in the kitchen. There was also 2 mini refrigerators available for extra drinks (one by pool and one in den). Our biggest issue was deciding if we would take the quick walk to the beach or swim in the pool that day. The house was clean and it’s a great location!

We love the Outer Banks
House owner was great for communication. We had a few things go wrong for us in the house and owner was very quick to respond and rectify the situation. The house is definitely a good size and plenty of room for a big group. Will definitely be back to the Banks next year!

Not so clean.
Disappointed in cleanliness. High touch areas like cabinet doors, and light switches dirty. Unsure if bedspreads and mattress pads were washed. Don't remember it saying need to bring own towels, so had to purchase those on arrival. Owner did communicate well during rental.
