About this farm stay rental
Come and visit our lovingly restored 1925 farmhouse, where you’ll be close to everything but feel like the rest of the world is miles away. Settle into a home that has sheltered families for almost a century. As Asheville grew up around the farm, these 250 acres of woods and fields stayed as they’ve been for well over a hundred years, used for timber and food crops. Wolfehaven is a place of peace and quiet, and yet just a few minutes from all the Asheville area has to offer.
When you arrive, you’ll find a welcome basket from your hosts, Mike and Carole. As you explore your new home away from home, you’ll see how much effort went into the restoration process of the house. We kept the original floors and all the molding and trim, and rescued the beautiful dining room French doors that had been stored for years in the basement. But as we preserved the beauty of the house, we also brought it up to date. The kitchen has high quality stainless appliances and everything you’ll need to prepare anything from an omelette to a panini, or you can whiz up a frosty beverage in the blender. You’ll find complementary bottled spring water in the fridge. At the hot beverage station, grab a mug and choose from a selection of coffees and hot cocoa pods for the Keurig, or brew up a pot of traditional drip coffee. If tea’s more to your liking there’s a kettle and a tea chest with a wide variety of teas. The two bedrooms have brand new memory foam beds and feature high thread-count sheets, firm and soft pillows, extra blankets for chilly mountain nights, as well as TV’s with Roku sticks. And if you want to sleep in, there are room-darkening draperies on the windows. In the bathroom you’ll find stacks of thick, fluffy pure cotton towels.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch while you watch the sunrise over the farm fields, then spend your days exploring Asheville, grab some steaks on your way home and enjoy the grill and outdoor dining area. Finish up your evening toasting marshmallows around the fire pit while you plan tomorrow’s exciting adventures, or relax on the powered dual recliner sofa in the living room while you watch a movie. If you’ve spent the day hiking, there’s also another powered recliner with heat and massage to soothe sore muscles.
Mike and Carole have called this place home for many years, and are readily available if you need anything. We know once you’ve stayed at the Farmhouse, it will be the place you’ll return to on your next visit to Asheville.

We took a spur of the moment trip to Asheville and this was the perfect place to stay. Communication was easy and the space is well stocked and furnished.

Thanks for having us. This was a great quiet location that was great for the dogs. We had to unfortunately cut our trip short but Mike was extremely accommodating. Loved the location being very close to everything, yet far enough from the commotion. The house has everything we needed. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse immensely! We enjoyed beautiful mornings on the porch before starting our day. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed (and more!). The beds were comfy, the area quiet, and great amenities! Great location to all things Asheville. Definitely recommend!

Perfect weekend mountain getaway
We stayed at Wolfehaven for a long weekend over spring break. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. Mike and Carole were very welcoming and gave us plenty of tips for things to do and where to eat around Asheville. We really enjoyed the mountain hikes and grilling on the back patio. Mike and Carole’s property is gorgeous and its location is very convenient to anywhere you want to go in Asheville. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Mountain Getaway
This house was perfect for us. The king sized beds were incredibly comfortable, the house was tucked away in the woods (so it felt very private), but incredibly convenient to everything Asheville has to offer. We lived there for 8 years and know how special this location is. Mike and Carol live next door, so the location feels safe, but they are not intrusive at all. Instead, they are the perfect hosts - available when needed, but absent when not. The house was filled with everything we could imagine needing and we are already looking forward to staying there again next time we visit.

Lovely and very Quiet
The Farmhouse at Wolfhaven is a perfect get-away spot in Asheville. The location is excellent, but at the same time feels tucked away and secluded. Mike and Carol have thought about absolutely everything you will need to be comfortable. We really truly appreciated all of the personal touches but most especially that the house was decorated for the Holidays. It made the whole experience all that more special. I highly recommend the Farmhouse and we definitely will be back!

Well appointed, dog friendly and close to Asheville
Couple in their 60’s visiting family in Asheville for the holidays. Wolfe- haven was in a great location for touring Biltmore, Arboretum and the parkway. Fifteen minutes to to downtown with easy access to all. Description on VRBO is accurate. No detail is overlooked to make your stay perfect. Necessary items ie paper towels, detergents, toilet paper, coffee filters plus a full drawer of kureig pods not to mention snacks and bottled water were available on arrival. The beds, linens and towels were top notch. The owners live beside the farmhouse and are friendly and accommodating but do not impose themselves upon you. The property feels very safe for walking your pups and is well lit. Ours dogs loved snooping around in the field across the drive. We will make this our go to spot in Asheville for future visits! Looking forward to leasing it in warmer weather so we can take advantage of the covered front porch, back deck and grill. Loved it! Highly recommend this home. Thank you Mike and Carol for sharing it.

Rest and relaxation
If R & R is what you are looking for.. THIS is the place. The house is so beautiful and clean. Mike and Carole are wonderful hosts. You want for nothing! My favorite was sitting on the porch with my husband and puppy. Plenty to do in the area or just do nothing too. Plenty of restaurants or there is a grill to cook at home. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing!
Not sure where to start on this amazing spot! If I could pack up and move here I would. Great location and very convenient to downtown Asheville and all surrounding areas. Mike and Carol were so very accommodating… we had a cookout with our family who we were visiting in Asheville! Our family thing is to always spend time on the porch with life stories. We did just that! Beautiful large front covered porch we sat on for five hours straight! We definitely will be visiting again. Thank you!

Quaint, Quiet Farmhouse
We loved staying at the Farmhouse for a long weekend! It was located not too far from downtown and the Asheville Outlets while feeling as if you were in the country and able to relax and even enjoy a campfire. The house is beautifully remodeled and I highly recommend this property if you plan on visiting Asheville. Thanks to Carole and Mike for their hospitality!

Asheville Get Away
The house is very charming and tastefully decorated, fresh flowers in the bedrooms and dining room were a nice touch! The property is perfectly located, very close to restaurants and attractions, yet peaceful and serene. We loved spending time on the porch watching fireflies in the adjacent corn field in the evening!!

Wonderful house and location!
The house was very clean and had everything you could need. It had a rustic feel ,but was so close to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. It was a great place to have our dogs with us too which made us happy. When we arrived, there was fresh flowers in vases around the house.Such a nice thought😁The coffee and tea station was well stocked and bottled water In the fridge when we arrived.I wish we could take this house along with us …… to rent in other destinations . The owners were very easy to communicate with ,when we needed to do so. Sitting outside on the 2 porches, either to have morning coffee, eat breakfast or dinner was very nice also. There is a nice gas grill on the back porch which we didn’t utilize but thought about it. Check out meant only asking you to make an entry in the guests book , in the house , about your stay , which we found refreshing, since checking out usually entails more.
If I could give it 5+ stars ,I would !It was a great stay and highly recommend! I would say thank you to the owners for sharing this cozy cabin!

Great stay close to everything, but off the beaten path
Our stay at Wolfehaven was awesome! The farmhouse was a perfect home-away-from-home for our family of 5 and our dog. The house has two large queen beds, comfy couches for curling up after a long day, and a well appointed kitchen that had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and some of our dinners. Mike and Carole are excellent and gracious hosts, and provided everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to be within 10-20 minutes of everything Asheville has to offer, but also want to have your own quiet, little space away from it all to relax and enjoy.

Wonderful property, great hosts!
Mike and Carole's farmhouse was perfect for our weekend getaway to Asheville. The place was perfectly clean and looked just like the pictures. The ample, picturesque outdoor space was perfect for our dog and was a wonderful setting for our bonfire, for which our hosts provided all the necessary fire-building materials. It's a very short drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and some very beautiful overlooks and hikes, while still being a short drive (10-15 min) to Downtown Asheville.
We met Mike and Carole on the first day and they were very gracious hosts, providing a number of recommendations on attractions and bars/restaurants in the area. If you're worried about privacy though, don't worry - they would've happily disappeared from our sight through the whole trip if that's what we would've preferred.
Overall, great stay - would come back!

Asheville Getaway
Enjoyed our stay at Carole & Mike's little farm house! Great place for rest and relaxation. Enjoyed reading on the front porch, watching TV on the cozy couch, and hiking at the Biltmore. Easy access to shopping and restaurants.
Bathroom and shower small, but not unexpected based on the photos. A little challenging for petite person like me to start the (stackable) dryer and microwave so make sure to have someone over 5ft there to reach them.

A fantastic getaway location!
This home is minutes from downtown Asheville but away from the hustle and bustle! There are many restaurants and places to shop just a mile away. Even though the home was built in 1925, it has been completely redone on the interior. Felt like being home.
