Looking for the that special SUMMER VACATION. A place where you can enjoy time with family and friends. Magnolia Shores is calling you down to the Rivah. Close to home but a world away. This year we are offering two beautifully appointed homes, separated by a newly installed outdoor pool.
"Magnolia Shores" is comprised of two pristine waterfront homes that you'll have all to yourself. The homes are located on Back Creek near the historic town of Reedville, Virginia. From the upper deck of the two-story home, you can see the Little Wicomico River, which empties into the Chesapeake Bay.
When you're ready to come inside and relax. Each beautiful, appointed home offers four bedrooms and three baths. In house #1, three bedrooms and two baths are located in the upstairs living area. Downstairs you will find a fourth walk-out bedroom and bath. The downstairs game room includes a pool table, dart board and an air hockey game room. Outdoor games and equipment are located in the equipment room. House #2 has all living areas located on one floor. Enjoy your morning coffee on one of the decks and watch the wildlife in the tidal area. You'll spend the day creating memories as you, crab and fish off a private dock. Bring your own equipment or use ours. There are two paddleboards, two kayaks, two child kayaks and a canoe available. Imagine paddle boarding the quiet coves of Back Creek or kayaking the Little Wicomico River when the water is as still as glass. You can also bring your own boat or take a local charter and enjoy the splendor of the bay.
Magnolia Shores has two fully stocked kitchens, and you can also enjoy cooking and dining outside. Dining tables, and propane grills are available for fresh-air meals. After a long day on the water, enjoy the sunset with family, friends and a cocktail on the dock. As the sun sets and stars appear, gather around the fire pit. We had an amazing time. The houses were beautiful and clean. The pool was so relaxing. Went kayaking and canoeing for the first time and had a blast. Caught so many crabs we took over 3 Dozen home after eating them for a night. Lori and Tom are amazing people and everyone had such a great time we are planning on coming back again and again.

Magnolia Shores isn’t exactly in the middle of a bustling town BUT it has EVERYTHING you could possibly need to just unplug, relax and unwind. We are a large group that has stayed at many rental homes throughout the years. We’ve learned to bring things that most places don’t have or are not in good condition. We needed absolutely nothing for our stay. Lori and Tom have done a great job stocking these houses with every essential you could need. There were plenty of yard games and water toys. There was always something we could be doing from kayaking to crabbing and everything in between. The pool was awesome, Lori came to clean it every morning, which was a great added bonus. We crabbed all week and had a crab boil at the end of the week, which was delicious. We also enjoyed some of the veggies fresh from the garden.
Several of us walked the neighborhood,daily. It’s peaceful and quiet. We were able to see lots of different birds, deer and even some goats on a trampoline.
Lori and Tom were so quick to respond if we had a question or needed anything. This property is great for large groups. We had 20 people ranging from 4-40 and there was plenty of room. I would definitely recommend Magnolia Shores as a relaxing retreat.

Property on quiet river, beautiful views. Caught enough crabs to enjoy two times for those who are patient enough to pick. Kitchen well stocked. Pool toys, chairs, lounges aplenty. Beds comfortable. Paddleboards, canoes, etc. enough for all to enjoy. Two homes worked well for our multi-age family. Game room an extra plus. TVs in most BR. Come and enjoy.

Lori and Tom’s property is great! Well stocked kitchen (including 2 crockpots, waffle maker, French press, electric griddle, & lots of drinkware). Lori came by each day to clean pool and asked for feedback on the rental. She was very responsive to our questions. The beds were comfy, the houses were clean. There is lots of outdoor seating, and we were told an outdoor kitchen is in the works. Guess we’ll need to come back next year!
We spent most of our days lounging in the pool or kayaking on the river. And the rockers on the dock are perfect for first light/dusk with a cup of coffee!
One drawback (or maybe a plus 😅): it seems like only Verizon service works in the area. Our group has AT&T and T-Mobile and didn’t have any cell service at house. But the WiFi worked great so wasn’t much of an issue for us.

Loved the pool, fresh crabs and use of the kayaks. This was a great place to kick back and relax. The house was clean and well stocked. Views from the deck were peaceful. The kids enjoyed the outdoor games and the pool table. The crab traps were a nice touch and had the freshest crabs I have every ate. Lori the owner was very helpful.

It had a nice shallow end for the youngest and a 5 foot deep section for the more advanced swimmers. There were a ton of pool toys, swim vests and floats. There were enough kayaks, canoes and SUP that the whole group could have gone out together. Looking forward to the day that our kids are ready to go out for a paddle. There were lots of games and movies and a complete game room. Lori our host checked in with us frequently and was so helpful. Best host ever! We had great luck crabbing from the dock and actually had 2 crab feasts. It was very hot when we were there so we never braved the heat to fish from the dock but saw fish swimming as we went out to check the crab pots. We stayed in the guest house which was great for our family with young kids. Lori gave me a tour of the second house and it was beautiful. The two houses together would be a great place for extended families.

The property was the perfect fit for our 12 person extended family. The eight bedrooms spread over 2 adjacent properties with a amazing swimming pool between the two houses provided our family enough room for everyone. We enjoyed crab picking and canoeing. The secluded location is perfect for a family wanting to get away from it all.

There were 8 of us aged 18 to 68 and everyone thought this was our best vacation ever. There was plenty to keep everyone busy and nobody wanted to leave to go check out other nearby attractions. Lori and Tom were excellent hosts. Lori cleaned the pool every morning so it was always sparkling clean even after it stormed. The pictures and description did not reflect how great the place was. There were all kinds of indoor and outdoor games. We used both daily. The kitchen was also very well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. There was plenty of towels so we weren't doing laundry daily. Everyone had fun catching crabs and by the end of the week we had enough to steam. There was more than enough for everyone and the best part was that we caught all of them on the dock! Even though we go to a different state every year everyone agrees that they would like to go back to Magnolia Shores again. I highly recommend this property. It truly does have something for everyone. It won't disappoint.

Very relaxing. Quiet cove was a perfect spot to keep our boat for day excursions on the bay. The dock was well built and the water was deep enough to safely enter end exit. The view from the upper deck was great and there were fans overhead and shades to help with the hot evenings.

Our whole family loved our time recharging away from the business of our every day. We were able to relax, recharge and enjoy time together. The house had everything we needed to enjoy time in the water (pool & kayak/canoe accessories, etc.). The yard was filled with actives for all ages. Plenty of space for all of us. Our hosts welcomed us in and made sure everything was as needed.

Our large extended family just returned from a wonderful stay at this property! The houses were clean, well stocked, and very spacious! We enjoyed fishing from the dock, using the canoes and kayaks and the pool! There were plenty of pool, outdoor games and life vests for everyone included.
Lori and Tom were very communicative and helpful during our stay. Lori came each morning to clean the pool, and most of us were still sleeping and it did not interrupt us in the least.

Magnolia Shores is the perfect place to stay if you're looking to relax from life's stresses. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted and assured that this home was our home for the week. This beautiful house, immaculate throughout, came with all the amenities to gratify everyone in our party. There are plenty of water activities to choose from. One of greatest features of this property is the ability to go crabbing from the pier, and trust me, the catch is plentiful. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation, Magnolia Shores will not disappoint.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is set up beautifully. We went swimming, played corn hole, spent time in the game room and crabbed and fished off the dock. Lori was a very friendly host and was there if we needed anything. The views from the deck were absolutely stunning. Magnolia is a beautiful property for a multi-generational getaway. The river is at your back door and the pool is a great addition to the property to cool off after spending hours in the river.

We had a wonderful week at Magnolia Shores! The location was beautiful, private, and very serene. The house was stocked with everything we needed, as well as beautifully decorated. The new pool was fantastic for hot afternoons! We enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the dock. We loved having a private dock to kayak and paddle board from, as well as a place to use our own boat. Lori is a fantastic hostess, who is attentive but allows you plenty of privacy. She's such a sweetheart! She showed us how to use the crab pots and had them in the water with bait when we arrived. Thank you so much Tom and Lori for the break that our family needed!

My family had a wonderful time here! There was plenty of space to accommodate all 9 of us. Loved the view, having access to kayaks, paddle boards and of course the pool. Lori and Tom were great. Responded promptly to any questions we had and an overall sweet couple/hosts.

Nice place
The owners were very accommodating and helpful with different things that came up while we were there. They let us use the crab pots and we had a feast by the end of the week. Overall very happy with our stay.

Wonderful place to stay!
We really enjoyed our stay here! My husband and I brought our three kids ages 6, 9 and13 as well as our parents and when we arrived we were greeting with a pan of brownies which was so sweet!! There was lots of things for everyone to do. We went crabbing from the dock and caught enough crabs to eat for dinner one night. The kids loved the pool which had lots of pool toys and plenty of life jackets for all ages. There were kayaks provided to take out on the bay, and the game room was lots of fun with the pool table, air hockey table and corn hole boards for outside. The bike riding was fantastic with very little traffic and lots of little communities to explore. There’s a beautiful view from the upstairs deck with fans and shade to keep cool. The house was gorgeous and very accommodating with modern amenities and very comfortable beds. Tom and Lori are awesome! They were very attentive to anything we needed and so friendly. We highly recommend staying here! Thank you Tom and Lori for sharing your home with us.

My family and I had a great week at Magnolia Shores. Tom and Lori were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The house was spotless and had plenty to keep all ages busy. The use of kayaks, canoe, and the dock were great, and the pool was amazing!

Great stay
The home and location are beautiful. We loved reading on the dock and swimming in the heated pool. The hosts live next door and are very hands on. They came over to check on us when we sent a question about check out. We had a great time and hope to be back soon! Note - the pool does not have a fence so might not be the best spot for families with toddlers

Birthday Get Away
Our whole family enjoyed this property and the owners were so friendly and helpful. Property was clean and inviting. Even though it was a bit cool for us to try certain outdoor activities, there were ample opportunities for paddle boarding, kayaks and paddle boat. We plan to return in the future.

Wonderful weekend getaway with family
This was a wonderful place to have a comfortable, quiet weekend getaway. The place was all as it was described. The home was clean. We were very impressed that all the essentials were there, particularly in the kitchen. The owner live next door. Lori is very kind and helpful, she makes us feel comfortable. The WIFI connection was fast but our T-Mobile cells didn’t get very good service, but we were able to use wifi for calls and texts. Great stay we definitely want to return.

Wonderful relaxing Getaway!
Weekend getaway for husband n I and his brother and wife. House was very clean and house very comfortable. Kitchen had dishes, coffee maker, microwave / everything you need. We caught a few crabs and owners shared crabs from their crab pots & Tom gave us a large pot, old bay and set out wood for a toasty fire at night. Peaceful with great view from deck of water, fall trees, birds etc. Plenty of ways to be entertained - fishing poles, paddle boat, kayaks, corn hole, pool table, Tv etc. This was my 2nd "weekend getaway" at Magnolia Shores and I enjoyed it so much the first time - reason I booked for our Birthday getaway. Look forward to coming back next year for a longer stay.

New House with Great Views
We traveled to Reedville with two families and chose Magnolia Shores. The house was new, clean and functional. It was in a good location, had wonderful views and came with plenty of amenities. Our kids always had something to do (water activities, backyard games, etc.). The owners lived next door and were very attentive and helpful getting us acquainted with the house and area.
We did not use the downstairs bedroom so it wasn’t a concern for us. In fact, it was very useful having the bathroom on the lower level. It looks like the owners are going to convert the downstairs bathroom to a full bath which will be nice upgrade. Everyone in our group enjoyed their stay.

Fun Girls Weekend
The perfect place for a 60th birthday girls weekend! Everyone loved the outdoor space, the wonderful water views, and especially relaxing on the dock! We didn’t get a chance to use all the amenities like the pool table, kayaks and paddle boards, all the outdoor games, etc. but loved our morning coffee on the upper deck and floating on the water! The house was very clean and well stocked and the owner was super helpful and welcoming! The location and number of bedrooms were perfect for a memorable birthday with great friends. Can’t wait to visit again in the future.

A hidden gem!
We had 4 couples stay here for a long weekend and had the best time! The hosts truly thought of everything! Lori greeted us upon our arrival to give us the lay of the land and popped in to check on us a few times during our stay, just in case we needed anything! She even brought us tomatoes from her garden!
A few helpful things to future guests - the kitchen is well stocked with utensils (the knives were even sharp), basic spices, and essentials like olive oil and coffee filters. There’s a even a coffee grinder! The fridge/freezer is also nice and large. There’s also plenty of lawn games, floaties, etc.
I must also say; the place was immaculately clean, which I’m a stickler for.
All and all a lovely highly recommended stay!
