We loved the access to the beach. Down the stairs and you’re there! The location of the house is close to everything. We had plenty of room to spread out.

We really enjoyed our stay in this home. This was our second time renting it. Our family of 6 ranged in age from 72 to 2 and it was great for all of us. There are alot of stairs tho so just know that you will be getting some exercise. (We did bring gates to block the stairs off tho from our 2 year old). We enjoyed having the private beach and made use of the games in the evening playing both in the game/tv room upstairs and also at the large dining room table. The washer and dryer were appreciated and definitely used. The hot tub was very nice too.
Any issue was handled in a timely manner by the local Vacasa office.
And on a wonderful note... my son and his girlfriend got engaged on the private beach on our last night there!! Very special!! We will be back!!

Our family had a fantastic vacation at this home. It was spacious with wonderful deck areas. The Vacasa team was amazing—always quick to respond and very helpful. When we noticed the views were blocked by overgrown trees, we texted Vacasa, and they had it taken care of the next day. Highly recommend!"

This house fit us perfectly. 5 adults and 4 kids with an age range of 81 to 3 years old had a great time here.
We only left the house a few times to enjoy dinners out, but cooked at the house as well. Took full advantage of the easy beach and lake access and it was a very relaxing time.
Would certainly recommend and stay again in the near future.

The views of Lake Michigan were spectacular and the hot tub was wonderful . We stayed with family in late March and the beach was fun even in the cooler weather, kids and kids alike enjoyed finding sea glass and neat rocks.

We stayed over a long weekend in mid-February, so had great views of Lake Michigan with no leaves on the trees. The house is spacious and bright. My only complaint is that there was a strong moldy smell. This may have been due to the house being closed up during the winter, but definitely needs some attention.

Lovely home with beautiful views of the lake. We will visit again.

I coordinate an annual weekend trip with friends. This place was really great. I appreciate that there were multiple group hang-out spots (the downstairs seating near the kitchen and the huge upstairs couch). We also LOVED the primary bathroom shower - large and felt luxurious. We also loved the hot tub - thank you for pre-heating it before our arrival! The beach access was great too because even in the winter, it was wonderful to be so close to the water and be able to take walks.
The benefit of this property being managed by a company is that there were folks out each morning to shovel the decks and stairs. It was unexpected and appreciated. All of the contact we had with the mgmt company was great and easy.
I wish there were more pics. I was worried the twin beds were going to be bunkbeds, but they're actually in the basement and are semi-separated by little half-walls. I also wish there was a better listing of what kitchen stuff was available (pots, pans, appliances, etc)
The downsides? The upstairs bathrooms were FRIGID, and many of the doors didn't lock, including the doors in the primary bedroom that lead out into the deck. The doors in the primary bedroom also leaked - we woke up and there was snow/frost that had come into the room.
While the shower water was hot and wonderful, the bathtub water never got warm and the jets were broken. It didn't ruin anything, but was a bummer because some of us were looking forward to taking a long bath during this winter trip.

The house was very spacious and beautiful. It has all the amenities in the kitchen that you would need. The hot tub is on the deck over looking the beach and it was a beautiful view for sunsets.

Property is AMAZING! We thought it was going to be nice, but the pictures do it no justice! Secluded and spacious! Ambiance in just about every room! The hot tub overlooking the sunset on the lake was priceless! My wife absolutely fell in love with the master bedroom bathroom. The tub in a HUGE bathroom was beyond relaxing for her.
If you feel like getting out you are just steps from the beach, and restaurants in the area all have amazing food. We went to Farina’s Supper Club and the Stray Dog. Both places are worth making the trip if you stay at the property.
Only negative was communication. I strongly suggest you call with any questions. Not a single response to about a half a dozen messages sent. Pretty important questions too. Maybe that is only the case through the app. None the less, call if you need help or have questions.
That being said, we stayed an extra night we loved it so much!
Five stars hands down! We’ll definitely be back!

We had three generations on this mini vacay (from 69 years old to 3 months old) and all of us enjoyed staying at this home. We especially loved having the private beach! Lots of stairs thruout tho...inside and out! We used the games provided in the evenings and loved the sound of the surf from the various decks! There should be extra blankets provided as the thin ones on the bed were definitely not enough. Would stay here again!

Our experience couldn’t have gone better. The house was perfect and the property manager made sure everything was amazing.

The beach is amazing and the house was clean. Communication was non existent. Cold tub
I emailed 2 days prior to our trip and we left messages during our trip which were not return. We called Vasca twice and talked to 2 people, they said they would call back and hv other people call back. Nothing. We even gave them a cell that worked and the house land line. I asked about the hot tub when reserving and was assured it worked. I guess I forgot to ask if the hot tub was actually hot. We rented for the hot tub so it made the weekend very disappointing!!! The hot tub is also extremely falling apart on head rests etc. The house was very clean but large spiders living in doors and left hand master bedroom sink. Three women and we did feel safe. The beach was beautiful but didn’t make up for our desire to have a HOT tub. Still have not heard from anyone???

There were four couples on this trip. So, 5 b/r, 4 bathroom sounded perfect. The master b/r is insanely huge and well appointed. The other 3 bedrooms are upstairs, extremely small, and share one bathroom up there. There is another full bath on the main floor, and a very tiny bathroom with a teeny tiny shower stall in the basement.
Also, believe the pictures, there is so much overgrowth, that the lake view from the house and decks is practically nonexistent. They definitely need to do some simple landscape maintenance.
Overall, great house. Definitely dated decor, but overall clean and completely usable.
Almost forgot, the hot tub is extremely old, and quite honestly a bit gross. The headrests are deteriorating and small pieces of the foam are floating in the water. Also, only 2 if the jets even work. Hot tub needs replaced.
Overall, we had a great 4 day weekend, with minimal hard feelings over one couple getting the palatial sized master suite, whilst the rest of us roughed it😂

Great beach, not well furnished or maintained
Advertised with 3 queen, 1 king. Not the case - 1 king , doubles. TVs did not work. Kitchen moderately equipped. Worn furniture. Toilet in basement did not work. ( Kudos to Vacasa for coming out to get it working. ). View blocked by unkept trees.

Lovely home but some updating needed
We enjoyed our stay as the house is right in the lake shore with a couple of flights of stairs to the beach. Very nice for a group and pretty private. There was a bit of a musty smell in the house though and we couldn’t identify the source- maybe damper in the basement bedroom and a dehumidifier might help? Decor was pretty though could be updated especially given the price charged. The beds were comfy and we had plenty of space to work and hang out in many separate rooms so if someone has to connect to an office during your stay, it is a great house for that. About two or three people had to be on calls but no issues with WiFi, noise, etc.

Lake Michigan house
We enjoyed our stay at Sur La Plage. The home is right on Lake Michigan and a five-minute drive from downtown New Buffalo. There is a stairwell from the back of the house directly to the beach so it is easy to come and go. We also appreciated the air conditioning! The house would benefit from updates -- newer cookware, newer furniture, etc. Some parts of the house and furnishings feel worn. But the master bedroom and bath were fantastic. We had one issue/question and Vacasa very quickly responded -- we appreciated the excellent customer service.

Wonderful vacation spot!
We loved everything about our stay! The home is very well appointed with everything we needed. Having a laundry on site was super helpful. The beach is easy to access and we enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. The house is very clean. Even the gas grill was impeccably cleaned! No complaints whatsoever. We hope to stay again in coming years.

Beachfront Property
The home is perched up high with an overlook of Lake Michigan. The beach is lovely and plenty of room to walk and play. The kids enjoyed it. The hot tub was nice on the deck and the BBQ grill was brand new. Great location, just near the town.
