The house is very cozy and spacious. All of the furnishings are new and comfortable. We all would visit it again. We were in Asheville to visit The Biltmore Estate, and this place was an easy drive to the estate and to town. It was in a very peaceful area with beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains.
4.8
This was a perfect property for my family’s visit to NC. It was only a short drive into Asheville and had breath taking views. The rooms were spacious and the property was extremely clean when we arrived. There were 9 of us in total and the house still felt roomy. Loved the fact it had 2 indoor seating areas; on the main floor and in the basement plus of course the seating outside. We also enjoyed using the fire pit at night. I would definitely recommend this properly and would love to stay here again to explore the area more.
4.8
We truly enjoyed our stay. The space and location was perfect.

We had a short stay for a family wedding. It is a very nice place with a great view.
We enjoyed our stay.

My girlfriends and I traveled to Asheville to visit book stores, and spend a few days relaxing and reading. This property was peaceful and tranquil providing the perfect environment for us. We loved sipping coffee and reading outside on the large deck while taking in the incredible views of the surrounding hills. The kitchen was well appointed and the whole house was very clean. We did have a little trouble getting Lyft/Uber to come up the mountain to pick us up and take us into town. So I would recommend renting a car if you choose to stay up here.
4.8
We loved our stay at this lovely home! It looks just like the pictures, and the view off the balcony is amazing.
4.8
Spacious updated property with stunning views. The location was very good for us with quick drives to the trails and 15-20 minutes to the downtown Asheville.
4.8
This is our second stay at Color Me on the Trail. Both visits were relaxing and comfortable. A member of our party is 85 years young, she has already declared that she intends to visit a third time and perhaps more! After a day of enjoying the wonders of Asheville nothing beats chatting by the woodburning fireplace, so cozy. We noticed recent maintenance, such as tree trimming, which has further enhanced the lovely mountain views. It is apparent in many ways that the owners care about providing a top-notch getaway. It is appreciated.
4.8
The property was very nice. We had plenty of firewood for the fireplace. Had a fire every night after our excursions. Well maintained and thought out. Plenty of sundries for every need.
4.8
Overall a nice place and would consider another stay.
Wrong style coffee filters for coffee maker were provided for our first morning. Easy enough to fix for next morning.
Shower in master was impossible to use without ending up with water slashing onto bathroom floor.
Finding the place for the first time in the dark would’ve been impossible without gps guidance.
As other reviews mentioned it is a surprisingly steep driveway to back out of.
We loved getting up early to watch the sunrise over the mountains while enjoying the propane fire table on the deck.
4.8
We loved staying at this house. It’s very spacious. It’s decorated very nice. The absolute best part was the deck and the amazing views. We were there in October and were surrounded by fall color. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the peacefulness and the views.

Great girls trip! We enjoyed the house and wished we had 1 more day! Will definitely be back.
4.8
We had a wonderful time. The house was a little remote but we enjoyed hanging out and enjoying the property
4.8
The property was as described in VRBO write-up. It was clean and was well stocked.
4.8
Property was very clean. Super close to Biltmore and hiking. Beautiful views. Even saw two bear! Would recommend and stay again
4.8
This home was very clean, in a peaceful setting, and perfect for our two week family trip in the area. The large size/layout (and solid Wi-Fi) enabled us to work remotely while getting somewhat off the grid (cell phones were spotty, a bear sighting occurred).
Great shops, restaurants, running trails (the neighborhood is full of hilly/curvy roads making running from the home dangerous), and local sites of interest were 15-25m away.
The driveway was very steep, but we got used to it. We had a few maintenance issues, and the management team satisfactorily handled them.
4.8
Perfect place for our family to meet and enjoy Asheville. Large house perfect for larger families.
4.8
The house was exactly as shown online! It’s the perfect location to get access to all the downtown shops and breweries but also a nice mountain retreat.
4.8
The property was clean and the view was pretty. Large house, 3 rooms on the main floor and one down stairs that’s basically its own living quarters with a living room as well. Cleaning fee is quite expensive though but overall would recommend the property and would go back!
4.8
Comfortable house with great view of mountain range. Fireplace was great. Kitchen well equipped. Living room fits 8 but better for 6. Bedrooms and dining room accommodate 8 easily.
4.8
We would definitely stay in this home again. Immaculately kept! Generously supplied with basics! Spectacular views! Fire pit on the deck was a nightly gathering spot. Thank you for the perfect family vacation spot.
4.8
Everything was great, and exactly as advertised. It was very clean, and in good shape. We were a group of 8 friends (friends close enough to share big beds) celebrating our shared milestone birthday together. The driveway really is steep! Not a problem for us - we had beautiful dry weather.
4.8
The first two nights our fire pit did not work, which deck and fire pit was main reason to choose this property. Kitchen was missing items such as wine opener. We requested an hour later for check out that was denied 11 am and next group couldn’t even check in until 4 pm. Otherwise the cabin was nice
4.8
We enjoyed our stay here with my parents and 3 small children. It worked perfectly to have my parents downstairs with their own space and the rest of us upstairs. It wasn't far from downtown and the perfect place for us to relax.

Wonderful stay
Amazing views from the deck. House was very clean and had everything you need. Would stay again for sure

Great property with an a good view. The porch is fantastic, so much so, that we didn’t spend too much time inside. The location is excellent as you are close to attractions and the highway, but still have privacy. Only downside was the number of emails received with different information about the stay. The app also did not work for remote check-in.
