Love the property for everything it was so quiet and relaxing. The house had everything you needed. We did bonfires in the back. The resort itself has so much stuff to do. It was overall a very happy vacation definitely will come back.

Liked location. Quiet and private. Very peaceful. the living room furniture needs replacing unable to sit on.
Overall, unit was acceptable.

The home was beautiful and had everything need for our stay . It was easy to find and seeing deer in the yard in the morning and the evening was so awesome. We will definitely stay again if we can.

House is nice and in a good location. The oven is broken - it turns on but never reaches a cooking temp - and we could not cook as planned. But we had a good time!

Me and my family enjoyed our spring break at this facility. The only downfall to our stay is not having propane so we could grill wasn’t too sure if we were supposed to buy more or the property was supposed to provide it, but that was the only issue we had with the property.

Door out back was unlocked .but was told to lock doors for security purposes when I check out
I had to put a load of my dirty towels before check out
I had to strip my bedsheets before I leave

We had a great stay! House was clean and spacious! All amenities described were available. Location was perfect for all Massanutten activities!

Well located, comfortable and spacious. Ample parking and responsive management. Buy a Brita pitcher for drinking water and you are set. Enjoy resort amenities as a part of your rental, we did. Excellent value overall.
One caveat, be prepared for mother nature to come to you - stink bugs LOVE this house.

This was a great place to stay. Pet friendly! Plenty of room. Would recommend hooms in the bathroom to hang towels. Would also recommend the host to prepare a book for renters that would list the area amenities. Would definitely go back.

Great space and quiet, didn’t realize it was so close to the road and we had little kiddos but would go back especially once they are older. Close to a lot of attractions/town etc. So would def go back

We enjoyed our stay and the layout worked well for our family with 3 teens staying downstairs. The location was great because it was between our activities in Harrisonburg and at the resort. We did have stink bugs, but not in large quantities.

A nice getaway if you’re looking for a remote house that is still near a town (Harrisonburg)

Really enjoyed our stay. House was clean. Firepit area looked nice through we didn't use it. Plenty of parking for a three-bedroom house. Kids really enjoyed the foosball table and multiple tvs.
We were prepared for the "odd" layout (one master bedroom upstairs, two bedrooms [one without window] downstairs) based on other reviews, and it worked fine for us. We split one parent/one kid upstairs and one parent/one kid downstairs. We had so much extra space. Would be perfect for two couples or two families with children if one could share a room with kids.
Location was slightly outside the "main" Massanutten gates, just about two minutes from the waterpark, which the kids enjoyed. We also went on some of the hiking trails in the area, to a couple of very convenient restaurants and a pet-friendly winery. We got the included passes for the pool/rec center at Massanutten but didn't end up using them.
The only caution is for families with pets and small children: the house is not on a busy road - it's mainly local traffic - but the cars that come, come fast, and there is no fence for the yard or sidewalk for walking dogs. Lots of trails within a short drive, though!

Great location for access to the park, which was our primary purpose of the stay. However, the proximity to the resort was great as the kids loved the waterpark. The property was clean and tidy, everything was provided and it was a very comfortable stay. Would certainly recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

The house was perfect for our family and excellent yard for dogs. Might need to have the air conditioning checked out as it did get a bit warm upstairs in the afternoon but wasn't hot enough to complain. I would definitely recommend to others and hope to stay here again next year!

Affordable Stay Near Massanutten
The house had a great set up and was perfect for multiple families. Being pet friendly with a large grassy area was a huge plus for our group. Beds were all very comfortable and the living/dining room were great for gathering as a group in the evenings. The house is a quick 5-10 minute drive to all the activities at Massanutten and we enjoyed having access to the resort amenities as well as being able to book our ski tickets in advance through TripForth.
The bathrooms and kitchen are pretty dated, but still very functional. The kitchen had nice appliances with a good selection of cookware and utensils. As other reviews have mentioned, you'll definitely want to bring bottled drinking water. We had a few maintenance issues during our stay, but didn't reach out about them until after we checked out. TripForth immediately followed up with both an email and phone call to let me know how the issues were addressed. In hindsight we probably should have reached out sooner so they could have been fixed during our stay! Very impressed with the responsive customer service and would definitely book with TripForth again.

We were extremely disappointed
Shaw feedback
This applies to our rental of 1397 Bloomers Spring Road.
We were greatly disappointed when we entered and saw the sign saying the fireplace was not working. During the first walk through we found about 10 stink bugs and several ladybugs inside (more of each were found throughout the weekend). Later that evening there was very little heat in the lower floor bedrooms ( the only thermostat we found was in the kitchen and we set it to 78) and only one thin blanket be shared??? no other extra blankets anywhere in the house. It was not pleasant. The bathrooms did not have any safety mats in the tub nor grab bars. The water taste awful, like rust or sewer or sulfur. All in all not a great experience for our yearly family ski trip.
What are you going to do to make things right?

Affordable and convenient
Affordable and convenient to Harrisonburg and Shenandoah Park. The layout is a little odd and the walls are thin, but it is clean and the back patio (with fire pit) and deck are nice to have. Used this for family and friends for a long weekend getaway and it worked well for our needs. Very disappointed that the fireplaces weren't working even though we are well into November at this point, so if that is important to you ask first.

Adequate stay
The stay at this property was fine. It could have been cleaner, and the layout of the house is unusual, but it provided exactly what we needed— an affordable house to use as our base to explore Massanutten. Massanutten resort is a really fantastic find, perfect for small kids who like the water (plenty of pools, the Waterpark is really fantastic, and I wish we could have seen other things.

Great time with Family
The kitchen was definitely well stocked with good quality pots, pans, plates, silverware and serving spoons. Thank goodness I brought my own crock pot. It was nice to have a fire pit that we could sit around in the evening. The grill was out of gas, but we received a new tank within a short time period. Bathrooms could be updated. Beds were great and it worked out well for our family and 3 grandchildren. We had an awesome time in the Shenandoah Valley for a "mini vacation".

Mixed Bag
Good: Nicely decorated, clean house, functional kitchen and good location
Bad: Tap water is very "hard" (bring bottled water to drink!)
Upstairs bedroom has a "musty" smell that made it hard to sleep.

Perfect place
Great location and size for all our biking adventures! Great parking. Nice back yard for throwing ball for dogs. We were very happy with this property. We would definitely stay there again.

Great place
This house was exactly how pictured on the website. It fit 4 adults, three kids, and a medium size dog very comfortably. We loved how a bedroom and full bathroom were on the main level. This made it very easy for my father who can’t get around very easily and has difficulty with stairs. The place was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner after a day of hiking in Shenandoah. There was plenty of room outside to walk the dog away from the road. We hiked everyday in the park and just wanted a clean place to stay where we could cook meals. This house was perfect for that!

Vacationing with a puppy
Beds were comfortable, good wineries nearby, convenient access to water park, nearby Sulllivan Road dog park is excellent.

Lovely stay!
The house was great - all of the beds were comfortable; had more than enough pillows, blankets etc..for everyone. The kitchen had everything to be able to cook meals for four days for a bunch of hungry skiers :) TVs in every room was a great option, so people could rest a little if they wanted to by themselves. Location is nice - right off a side road: 2 minutes away from the water park/arcade and maybe 5-7 minutes away from the ski trails. Great experience all in all: would definitely stay here again!
