Here you can experience all that the Northeast Kingdom offers. Tranquility, privacy, and seclusion, yet located in the middle of your next adventure. Trailside convenience to Mountain Biking right out the front door - easy access to Kingdom Trails via connecting Swamp Donkey Trail... close to Burke Mtn skiing/snowboarding and VAST trail... snowshoeing, hiking, fishing... or relax on the deck overlooking the pond, and enjoy the view of Burke Mountain.

The space
Camp Road Getaway is a great place for the outdoor enthusiast.... and when it is time to come indoors, you will find all the comforts of home. The spacious kitchen is open to the living room area with cathedral ceilings and plenty of windows to enjoy the view. A large deck off the kitchen with a picnic table and grills. The loft Master bedroom suite has a queen bed and a full bath. A second bedroom on the main floor features a queen bed. Additional full bath is conveniently located near the bedroom and living area. Lower level family room features cozy, radiant heated tile floors, and a queen-size futon.. Ground-level easy access to enter/exit via double doors. There is a TV on each of the three floors.

We are dog-friendly. (no more than two dogs allowed) Sorry, we do not allow cats.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire home.

When you leave the house, we do ask that you confine your dog to the lower level family room and cover the couch and futon with blankets. We provide a gate for your convenience.

The deck was the first thing we saw when we arrived, it overlooks a frog pond and has a direct view of Burke Mountain. It’s the perfect spot to have morning coffee or an afternoon cookout. The house was well equipped with everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the location which is close to hiking, biking, the beautiful mountains of E. Burke and even Lake Willoughby. I highly recommend the Cozy Chalet and hope to return.

We absolutely loved our stay !!! If we needed anything Karen was a call away ! We took our granddaughter and our dog was such a nice visit ! Would love to come back again to stay !! Thank you Karen and what a comfortable home you have !!! Also the views are amazing!!

My boyfriend and I needed a quiet, relaxing weekend getaway. This was the perfect place to stay. Beautiful winter views from deck and windows and all around cozy and “at home” feel. We made dinner one night and had everything we needed. The hosts were wonderful and responded very quickly if we needed anything Or had any questions. We look forward to returning! We highly recommend visiting the cutest little shop R & R Trading Post with the cutest pup, Mason, as the welcoming committee. 😊🐶 We also had a wonderful breakfast at Estella’s Bar and Grill and a delicious and very romantic dinner at The Inn at Burklyn and Restaurant. Kelly was the best waitress we’ve ever had. Highly recommend these places if you’re in need of good food. Thank you for renting to us this past weekend. It was our first getaway as a couple and we look forward to many more.

Magnificent setting next to hiking biking trails with a view of mountains and pond. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and two full bathrooms. My daughter and I had a wonderful time.

This was our 3rd stay in their house and will book again fur next year. That should tell you something right away. The location to the trails, the serenity of the location and the house itself all make fur a wonderful vacation. Karen and Dave are the best !!

If you want to ride Black Bear all day, this house is right next to Swamp Donkey. Great dog friendly house for a few couples. Well stocked and clean. A quick five minute drive to the rest of the Kingdom Trails and the village of East Burke. Beautiful deck overlooking a refreshing pond. A great escape from the heat of the Tri-State area.

We had a great time staying here for a ski weekend at Burke Mountain. Easy commute to the hill and exactly what we needed for the six of us. The living area was quite small but we made it work! Plenty of parking and very quick/easy communication with the hosts. Thanks!

This was our 2nd time here. We loved staying here both in the winter and this time of year. The view from the house is amazing, overlooking a view of Burke Mtn and a beautiful small pond in the yard. It was so relaxing just to hang out on the front deck. It's in a great location, we were able to hop on our bikes and roll right onto the bike trails. The house has everything needed. My husband and I loved it and our dog really loved it! All in all, we had a great week!

David and Karen were excellent hosts. They were extremely accessible, and the property / location / home exceeded our expectations. The home was clean, fully stocked with all that is needed to make a great trip, and in wonderful location for us, which was to hit the mountain biking trails. We will return.

Great place to stay

This was our 4th visit to East Burke and this has been our favorite property. The view from the kitchen /living room and upstairs loft is breathtaking. The house is secluded, yet less than 10 minute drive into town. We loved that we could hookup to trails to snowshoe on, right from the door. The house was well stocked with everything needed, very clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to enjoying the deck and fire pit when we come back later this year. All in all, we highly recommend this property!

Karen & David were amazing hosts. Anything we could have needed was there. Amazing views of Burke and the slopes right from the kitchen/livingroom. I went to college at Lyndon and wanted to share the area with my husband, 1 year old and our dogs and we will 100% be back! Next time in the warmer weather. Thank you so much for such a relaxing place to be!

Great cabin!

This was a great way to spend a long weekend away, it’s in a nice place a little out of town, perfect for some quiet seclusion. My husband and I really enjoyed the fire pit and the kitchen, which had the tools that we could use to cook a small Christmas dinner, and the large windows made for a great view for the whole stay! It was a little cold to go anywhere being Christmas in northern Vermont, but we were cozy and comfortable, and we’ll be sure to look into coming for a visit in the fall to explore the trails!

This is a beautiful home with amazing views. Its proximity to Burke Mountain made it the perfect place to spend our snowboarding vacation. Karen was extremely helpful during our stay. We highly recommend this home!

We had a great time on Camp Road. The space is clean, well decorated, comfortable and well stocked. It was just me, my husband and our golden retriever for a long weekend and I think the golden retriever was the happiest of all. The yard was great and neighborhood was quiet so she could roam the yard without us worrying about her. The location was great, it took us 11 minutes to get to Burke for skiing. Karen was a great host, very responsive. The only advice I will share is the road can be a bit steep and slippery so having four wheel drive is a benefit. We will definitely return.
