Great location. Diana was wonderful. Very helpful with questions and found some extra kitchen supplies for us when I asked. Also offered some fresh papaya from the property for breakfast.
4.5 / 5.0
No breakfast, but a kitchenette with coffee and permission to pick any ripe papayas (they were fabulous), and tables by the infinity pool so bring your own muffins, etc. Manago hotel restaurant is nearby, as are others. It's on the hill above Kealakekua bay and below Captain Cook. We wanted to explore that area so it was a perfect location for us. Wendy the manager is most helpful and charming - any concerns are dealt with immediately.
One or two small cleaning or operational issues, and there should be a shelf in the shower for the shampoo and body wash - tough to use them when they're on the sink counter. Hot tub was sandy with heavy chlorine. But these were minor in the whole picture.

The location is beautiful and just a hop, skip, and a jump from where we needed to be.
Would enjoy for the beds to be higher and more firm.

The property was poorly maintained.

Beautiful sunset view from the house.
The swimming pool and Sauna.
The room with a garden view.
King-size comfortable bed.
kitchenette in the room.
The reception from the staff.
5-minute drive to Manini Beach.
The house is located in the suburb so there are some insects.
The narrow winding road from the main road to reach the property.

Only a few rooms so not crowded. It's not fancy but it is a great little place with lovely staff and great amenities. We'd go back in a heartbeat!

The inn keepers were excellent hosts! They were most accommodating to all of my needs! I didnt have a car so one of the keepers drove me to destinations I wanted to see and was a great tour guide! The room was comfortable and it opened up to the pool and beautiful views. 😍
I had the best time with great adventures and had best company staying at the Luana Inn!
The jacuzzi is broken and needs to be fixed. The Bed and Breakfast didn't have breakfast at the moment (still in the works) but when asked was still accommodated me with meal options when they were having meals. 😊

The location was beautiful & peaceful with a stunning view. The pool was lovely. A couple of minor issues were sorted out quickly.
There are very few decent places to eat out in the vicinity and they're quite a way away.

There was only coffee in the room. No breakfast.

Location was great, pool was great, the little covered deck was a nice place to eat and hangout, Mini fridge, and area to make some basic food.
Definitely not good for a family.. The 2 air conditioners did nothing to cool the 1 room we were in tell the sun went down. So after a day of play plan on roasting until the sun goes down Hahaha The shower had not been cleaned. There was still hair from the previous person and the plastic shower curtain had black across the whole bottom. I know futons aren't the most comfortable,,, well we were reminded of that every night.

The location, the view, the cost, the amenities . This is the 3rd time here and plan on staying again in the future
Would enjoy a bed that was more elevated. With myself being middle-aged it wasn't as easy to get up and down.
3.5 / 5.0
Average stay complete with condescending overtones from the caretaker. I'm sure she will respond with "I'm sure you must be confused, I have no idea what you mean by that". or "Surely you can understand, I can't do anything about it"
A rat's nest is next to the driveway close to the main house where the big spider web is in the trees. Just get a real hotel somewhere else.

View was incredible. Nothing else like it. We had a great deal of privacy in a space where that could have been a challenge. The amenities--pool and hot tube were great ---again the views from there were stunning. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained.
There were not things to dislike really, it's a preference thing. The caretaker on site could have provided more insight on what was available in the immediate area to explore. While the views were stunning getting to the property was a bit harrowing, driving on narrow roads that twist and turn suddenly. Walking on this road (which you could do to get to the ocean) was down right scary--as well as a hefty workout.

Everything! Views were just amazing! The pool or hot tub during sunset is a must do.
No breakfast but it was understandable as COVID restrictions just lifted. But there were amazing cafes close by and our host Aria was very helpful on places to eat.

It's a beautiful home on the hill, very private, spacious, and clean.
You wake up to the songs of a million birds. It's all green, and you can see the ocean far away.
The host was exceptional in adjusting to our arrival time and was easy to communicate with.
It's a super eco-friendly place, with a chlorine-free pool, recycling, and a big garden filled with cool lizards and magnificent flowers.
It's not on the beach (as expected), so you need a car to get to the beach and local restaurants. The hosts give you a great list of places to check out for breakfast, coffee and dinner.
The room was spotless and large, with a big comfortable bed. There is also a cute community area with books and coaches. Very cozy and feels like home.
I highly recommend this spot for a romantic getaway, meditative private time, or family vacation—a fabulous experience.
Can't think of anything.

Quaint, quiet and beautiful grounds. A taste of old Hawaii and a major departure from the large resort scene. Lovely!
I loved it all. Especially the beautiful view as the sun set!

great quiet and comfortable location with a great view of the ocean. the pool patio was spacious and a great place to relax.
it’s a 10-15 minute drive to the grocery store or restaurant, so we needed to have food in our room. A larger refrigerator space for groceries and ice would be great

Beautiful place with a great view of coastline sunsets. Many places to lounge and relax. The room had all the basics covered. Lovely host.
The bed was extremely soft (like a hammock), but someone else may enjoy that more.

View from our room was great. The Caretaker was very nice.
Bed was not comfortable. Considering that the thing we did there the most was sleep, not so good.

The pool and hot tub are great. I wish I hadn’t gotten sunburn or I’d have been able to try the sauna which looked.
A lot of outlets didn’t work at all. Perhaps it is hard to find an electrician on the island. Some roach sightings, but I know that’s common in Hawaii. Just close up your bags when not in use and you won’t bring any back home.

I enjoyed the pool and views. The owner was nice, but hard to reach at times. Lovely lanai with the room
The wifi was very weak in the rooms. When we got there someone was in our room and it took until 8pm to figure things out due to poor communication. There was frequently someone in the spot the email told us to park in and I would've liked better communication. The owner did allow us to put our stuff down in another room and suggested a good snorkeling spot. However, it seemed a bit unorganized and was frustrating when we couldn't check into our actual room and there was no discount for the inconvenience

Lovely quiet position overlooking the ocean in the distance. Plenty of outside space & lovely garden/seating areas.
The bathrooms & showers are in need of a full refurbishment. A bit worn out.
Contrary to it's name, they dont do breakfast at all!
