This log cabin in the woods is on a gorgeous salt water tidal cove! Enjoy deer, squirrels, birds, eagles, turkeys and more from the deck! How about grilling you dinner on the gas grill and eating in the treetops under the sun? Take a canoe ride to fish or see the views from the water, and warm up at night in front of the wood stove!
The cabin is wonderfully secluded--many locals don't know it is here, with no neighbors but deer and the occasional eagle flying overhead.
There is a canoe and life preservers provided. Use the wheeled trolley to help you with the canoe up and down the path if you would like! The path is on the property, and is about a 2 minute walk to the water. It is a tidal cove, so check the tide charts for tides.

Feel free to take our canoe out for a paddle in the cove, or head out at low tide so that you can do some clamming in the front of the property. At the end of the day, take a moment to sit by the wood burning stove. Beautiful quiet secluded cabin very close to excellent hiking trails.

My family and I had a most wonderful time at the cabin by the cove. We dug up clams and tried the canoe, and our dog loved rolling about on the grass in front of the property. The surrounding area is replete with scenic views and quaint shops, and the cabin is a very manageable drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, which we visited several times. We are very pleased with our visit and hope to be back again soon!

We loved our stay here. The cabin was in great shape and a clean. Kitchen was well stocked. The cabin is in a nice secluded area surrounded by woods. You can here a bit of road noise from time to time, but not so much it's take away from the quiet privacy. You have to go down a dirt road to get here, so low riding cars might have a hard time. The walk down to the water was easy enough for a person, but getting the canoe to the water and back would have be really difficult, so we opted not to use it. Don't count on the internet for reliability if you're going to try and use it for work. Overall, I would love to stay here again.

We loved the quiet getaway this cabin provided. It was very clean. We were able to easily explore Acadia (both MDI and the Schoodic peninsula) from here. The location is quiet and the porch is so peaceful! We loved the chairs out there. Our hosts were quick to respond when the dishwasher ran all night and pooled water. There was a light flickering in the bathroom, but we found that the vanity lights gave off the same amount of light (we did not contact the hosts since it was not a big deal to us). There were plenty of towels.
We always look for cabins with spiral staircases, so we were excited this one had one! Just be very careful around it because it is a tight squeeze between the bedroom entrances and the bathroom entrance (I'm 5'1" for reference.) My kids hit their heads multiple times walking under the steps.
We would have loved an extra chair or two at the kitchen table, since the cabin sleeps 6 but there were only 4 chairs. (There might have been additional chairs in the basement, but we didn't look. We tried pulling up a rocking chair, but it was too tight.)
The guestbook provides lots of helpful local recommendations for anything you might need in the area, as well as helpful information about the cabin. We ventured down to the water once, but didn't attempt to bring the canoe down.
Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin. We loved it to stay there. The cabin has a lot of beautiful details which make you feel home immidiately. The kids loved the floor upstairs because there are a lot of toys for kids. Everything you need you have in this cabin. The Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are not far away but you are not in the touristic area and you have a peaceful and quiet place. The communication with the rental service was great. They take care about all what you need.
We had a great time and we hope that we have the possibility to visit the cabin again.

If your looking for a cabin in the woods this is it! Very comfy cozy, has everything you need. Love that there's a canoe for a very peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful scenic crusie on the lake. We very much enjoyed our stay! Be aware of ticks, you may want to use tick spray when going out for walks.

Place was awesome. Such a great quiet place to stay. My kids loved exploring the property and is close to everything you need.

Quite secluded which is nice. Didn’t spend much time around the property as we spent most of our time in Acadia. House is fully equipped. Property manager is responsive and kind.

The cabin is soo cozy and relaxing. Very well stocked kitchen, we had everything needed. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets. Tucked away but yet close to so much. Sitting by the water watching the Eagles in the cove, which was a very short walk down the path from the cabin, was incredible. We even watched them off the back deck! Susan even checked in with me to make sure we had everything we needed and to not hesitate to ask if we did. We will definitely be returning to enjoy the cabin again

We loved this house and it was perfect for us to explore both sections of Acadia. I did think the water would be visible on the deck but I’m looking back, that was clear in the ad and just a misunderstanding on my part. I mention it in case others have the misunderstanding.
It was clean and well stocked. We had an issue with an appliance and the team was readily available to assist.

We spent a week at this charming, expertly managed cabin,. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Exactly as advertised, the property was the perfect, secluded get away we wanted, while still being close to fresh veggie stands, antique shops,.ice cream, and of course day trips to Acadia + Bar Harbor and all they have to offer. If you want to really unplug and enjoy some quiet time in nature, this is a great spot. We hope to come back next summer!

We loved our time in this cabin. It was quiet and remote, which was just what we wanted. We loved the proximity of the tidal cove down the hill and enjoyed using the canoe at high tide and our teenage boys tried “clamming” at low tide.
The home was clean and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for cooking and grilling. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the outdoor deck both in the morning for coffee as well as unwinding in the evening. With the overhang you could even sit out there in the rain.
The only downside for us was that it was about an hours drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor, depending on traffic and where in the park you were going. We knew that going in and did find some good restaurants and things to do close by, but you just have to be ok with the drive.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it!

This property was everything we were looking for when we booked a Maine vacation. House was private and secluded. Access to water, although trail was a little tough for my 75-year-old parents. Close proximity to Ellsworth, Acadia and Bar Harbor. Deck was beautiful and house provided everything we needed for our stay.
Comfortable seating and beds... loft was great for our pre-teens.

Awesome time staying in cabin. This side of the bay is way quieter than Bar Harbor. Acadia park is close by and the family really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the cabin. All the family time we enjoyed together, in this peaceful place.

Quiet week in Maine with my husband and kids. Very private and nice time despite the rainy week. Enough to do in the cabin and local area to fill the rainy days as it was never a complete wash out. Had to travel 40 minutes to get to Acadia national park and Bar Harbor but didn't mind the trip with the beautiful scenery to take in along the way! Great trip if you want to enjoy alone time in the middle of the woods of Maine.

Overall, good property for the price. Quiet and on a tidal cove. We spent most of our time in Acadia and Bar Harbor which is about 45 minutes away, so, we only came home in the evening when we were ready to stay in for the night. Property manager Susan was very responsive when we needed to contact her.

Located on the quiet side of Acadia near the Schoodic Peninsula, this cabin is the perfect location to explore the more off the beaten path side of the park, as well as a perfect retreat from the crowds. Rustic and cozy, the wrap around porch and deck with grill are awesome additions. We will be sure to stay here in the future.

My family stayed here for three nights and we had a wonderful visit. The cabin was so clean and cozy and the wood burning stove helped warm us up from our cold hike. The property manager (Susan) was so kind and helpful and she answered all our questions.

My husband and I had a great week at this property! It was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. It is a cozy, comfortable place and we would highly recommend. Property manager was also quick to respond to questions we had.

A very clean, comfortable and remote get a way. We couldn’t have been happier with this rental. Close enough to Acadia National but removed enough for us to unwind. We generally ate out but everything you needed to prepare a family meal was there.

When we arrived, the house was very clean and tidy - everything had been thoroughly cleaned. The house had lots of children's furniture and toys, and the upstairs area was closed off by a small "gate" making this house ideal for families with small children. In addition, we enjoyed the board games, video cassette player, and radio. The tidal cove on its property had many clams, easily found during low tide in the mornings. Lastly, the location of the home was also great, with many eateries nearby.

All the comforts of home, and even better. Was a little disappointed on the path to the cove. Did not attempt taking the canoe down as it would be difficult. Other than that, everything was perect!

A lot of items where left on the property. Food, Clothing, Garbage... The sign on the door says sanitary cleaning. I cleaned. There were empty bottles under the bed in the loft. The bed in the loft was broken. The towels were not clean. Clothing was under bedding. I through items away. Food in the pantry was thrown away. I cleaned.

Arrived at the property and immediately loved the cabin. Found it clean with all amenities. Easy check in. Property manager communicated throughout and provided all details in advance of out arrival. Beautiful cabin, beautiful wooded area with a short walk to the saltwater bog. Lots to do in the area to include hiking and walking the trails in Acadia National Park. I would definitely stay again.

The cabin was fantastic and provided a very secluded vacation experience.
We found the property and the rental process to be very enjoyable. It was our first trip to Maine and it was outstanding. We found it very easy to get to all of our destinations from Bar Harbor to Schoodic Point and all places in between. Enjoy all of the aspects of the areas typical tourist opportunities without lodging around the tourists. We highly recommend this property and management company for anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful spot in beautiful Maine
Highly suggest staying on this property. You're far away from other humans, but you're a short drive to so many parts of Acadia. The cabin itself is clean, plenty of space for the 3 of us; nice kitchen; beautiful porch with a great view of the stars! The beds are comfortable and the overall space is great!

The property is great if you are looking for the quiet of nature. We had a great time fishing, clamming, and observing the bald eagles!

Perfect seaside Cabin in Acadia
My family stayed at the seaside cabin in Salt Cove to day trip to Acadia. The cabin was very clean and in a great location for our daily adventures in the area. The mosquitos were much less compared to other inland cabins we have rented in the area likely due to the ocean proximity and breeze. This was our sixth time visiting Maine for vacation and will look to stay here again for our next trip.

Great Stay
We loved our stay here!!!!!!
The cabin is very isolated and we loved that, it was so peaceful to not be around crowds.
Went on several canoe trips (brought water shoes which helped)
Swam in the creek every morning (I enjoy very cold water swimming)
Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and utensils, used the grill every day
Beautiful deck with rocking chairs
Very clean
Host easy to reach
We didnt mind being 40 minutes away from acadia because it was such a beautiful drive there and back with many seafood shacks (ate the best fish sandwich ive ever had) and icecream shops along the way.
This place is a gem

Great relaxing place to disconnect!
Property was so peaceful and quiet. We truly enjoyed the remote location of the cabin.

Lots of hype but not worth the cost
Although the cabin had a quaint appeal, I was disappointed in several areas. Upon arrival and inspection of cabin there was a smoke detector in loft area that was hanging by wires. The only tv was in loft area. When booking it was stated wifi password would be supplied once arriving at cabin there was no WIFI. I had some work that I needed to complete so had to go in town to get service. Would have also been nice to stream tv for the rainy days. There were also ticks on the couch. The beds seemed small for queens and they were very uncomfortable. Sheets were clean but comforters were musky and smelled like dirty feet. Ceiling fans had layers of dirt. Bathroom was very small. You had to walk in to bathroom and close door to sit on toilet. The kitchen/living room area did not have any window coverings and since it was dark by 7pm it would have made it more comfortable to be in those areas of cabin. Also a weather radio would have been nice. Unsure of why there was a cleaning fee when we were asked to wash the towels, strip the beds, run the dishwasher and take out the trash.
Also disappointed that upon booking that it was not mentioned that most everything was closed for the season and that the town closed at 7pm.
Made the most of the vacation but grossly disappointed in the rental. Lots of hype in advertising. Extra charges for cleaning with no evidence of cleaning.

Disconnect and Reconnect
My wife and I enjoyed the quiet time alone to disconnect from the normal hustle and bustle in order to reconnect. The cabin was also a great base from which we explored the area. The cabin was exactly what we hoped it would be. Thanks for sharing your cabin.

Perfect!
I loved our stay here SO much. The cabin is perfect. We wanted a “non-peopley” COVID vacation. We thought hiking and biking Acadia with our 2 dogs would fit the bill.
This cabin was the icing on the cake. It is beautiful. So peaceful and quiet. Our first morning we went to the cove and saw a bald eagle. Everyday there were hummingbirds around the deck.
Acadia was about 45 minutes away. Schoodic Pont is about a half hour. Highly recommend going to schoodic point at least once to watch the sunset.
The town of Ellsworth is close by and has several supermarkets. We chose ate breakfast and dinner at the cabin everyday and would bring sandwiches on our hikes for lunch. But there were restaurants if you chose to eat out or get take out. Tracey’s lobster rolls is few miles down the road. We had an amazing week. I hope we get to return.

Cabin in Sullivan
The cabin was adorable. A really quiet location in the woods. It was clean and fit 2 adult couples, 2 children and a dog perfectly. The deck was amazing. A great place to relax. I do suggest bringing your own linens (some are provided but wish I had my own). I also suggest stocking up on food. Locally we found it difficult to find places to eat (nicer places were totally booked) and everything else has a wait. This home is listed on the water and you can walk down a path to get to the salt water cove but trying to get a canoe or kayak down the path would be difficult. The ride to Acadia is about 40mins and Bar Harbor has a ton of nice places to shop and eat. Overall great place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet.

Beautiful spot
The cabin was lovely and perfect for our family. Far enough from tourists but close enough to enjoy those areas. I would definitely recommend this beautiful place. Our only disappointment was not being able to use the canoe provided or kayak we brought. The path was overgrown and a tree is down across it.
