It is beautiful and the most comfortable beds we slept in our 10 day trip to Iceland 💕
The kitchen has everything you need and lots of space in refrigerator for people traveling with food and need storage overnight.
It an also next to the Iceland horse riding farm so you can book a ride on site.

Lovely old house close to a farm. Cute furniture, old house charme, modern kitchen which is well equipped. The view outside over the mountains is amazing!
Our room upstairs was a bit cold when we arrived.

My stay at the guesthouse was a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the self-check-in process was a breeze, and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and the spaciousness of my room. The facilities, including the WiFi and kitchen, were top-notch, and I had no complaints on that front.
However, there were a few quirks that left me feeling a bit unsure. The surrounding farm was somewhat peculiar, but I must admit that I'm not exactly an expert on farming, and I didn't book this place for its agricultural charm.
The absence of any human interaction with the host was a tad disconcerting. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, and a friendly welcome or some local insights would have been appreciated.
One noteworthy detail was the water quality, which had a distinct sulfur smell. While this might be normal for the area, it would have been helpful if the host had mentioned it beforehand.
In summary, the guesthouse had fantastic facilities, but the lack of host interaction and the peculiar farm surroundings left me with mixed feelings. Plus, a heads-up about the unique water scent would have been a considerate touch.
But as said in the headline - good value for the money.

Check in was smooth and efficient. It was touchless through Booking.com The access code was provided well in advance. A charming house with beautiful common areas. Nice countryside location. This Guesthouse had the best and highest quality bedding I saw in all of Iceland.
For the price it would have been nice if the owners provided some shower soap and shampoo. The stairs had very narrow steps.

Amazing comfortable room..so clean.. Natalie so helpful kind wonderful..All emails from Soffia so welcoming and helpful..would definitely stay here again.p
I had not seen message about code to get in so went to neighbours to phone..unfortunately I checked my email before your email came to je with code. GPS took us to an old road and we were driving and knocking on doors..very helpful but perhaps more directional help in email and what building looks like.

The property is gorgeous and you can go horseback riding at the Icelandic Horse Ranch next door! I love how secluded it is and yet and how there are more horses around than humans. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is very well equipped and the dining area has a big dining table to accommodate all guests.
I particularly loved to witness the evening and morning horse drives. In the evening at about 6pm they drive all horses (about 200?) from their stables to pasture. And from their pasture to stables the next day at 8.30am. What a show!! It was gorgeous. I would recommend any guest to be outside ready to watch (safely).
Iceland doesn’t have mosquitoes and we didn’t have any insect problem the first 2 weeks of our road tripe. But the host forgot to tell us about the biting midges in the area. They are tiny little flies that look harmless but in fact bite like mosquitoes!! It was hot in the room with the 4 of us and so we had the window open at night. When we woke up there were hundreds of these midges on the room ceiling and needless to say, we each had hundreds of bites that started to come out the next day. Extremely itchy and scabby. If the host forgets to tell you and you see this review, don’t forget to bring insect repellent and even if it’s hot in the room, do not open the window!

Nice and well equipped kitchen. Clean.
Small and short bathroom not suitable for tall people. Lack of mosquito net in the window.

Cozy place with comfortable bed and nice view. Well equipped kitchen and easy check-in.
Very thin walls, could hear everything from the next room. Steep stairs.

The apartment was amazing, a lot better than expected. The whole house has a soul, its very cozy and modern at the same time. The area is beautiful, out in the "wilderness", but there is a cute town only 10 minutes away with restaurants. The kitchen was very well equipped, the showers had hot water. The room was cozy and spacious, warm as well, with a nice view. We saw aurora perfectly from here. The check in process was also extremely smooth. I would definitely stay here again!
The wifi wasnt really working upstairs in our room.

really nice guesthouse in the middle of nowhere… the rooms are small but cosy; the kitchen is extremely well equipped and the common space area well done!.
we also enjoyed the horse riding which is organised by the neighbours who share the farm.
the online check-inn works smoothly, however we missed meeting the hosts and having the opportunity to learn more about the area..

Stunning location, absolutely adorable farmhouse converted to guesthouse. Beautifully decorated rooms and so so cozy. Kitchen fully equipped for preparing meals and shared restrooms clean. Friendly staff who allowed us to check in early. Bed comfy. One of my favorite stops of a month in Iceland.

Nothing paticular
Location is rather remote.

Very beautiful location as they all seem to be in Iceland with everything you would need. There is a kitchen with every tools you need to cook, living room where multiple people can eat and everything was very well designed and maintained.
The rooms are at the first floor with 2 shared bathrooms but since it is a wooden house you might need to be careful not to disturb other travelers. We found only 1 room for 4 people but it was excellent and I had a very good sleep. Everything was clean and well maintained which I appreciated.
The entire house was very quiet and we really enjoyed our stay at this amazing guesthouses which I definitely recommend.
Near the kitchen there are some rooms and after 21, when we arrived, people were already in their rooms very quiet. Because of this unfortunately you could easily disturb others that stay in the house. At the first floor it is a similar situation because of the wooden floor and you will need to be careful to keep the silence.

Watched a round-up of 80 Icelandic Ponies every evening that were lead past our lodging, then saw them be brought back every morning. Spectacular! Kitchen terrific, staff very helpful in helping plan side trips.
Again, some rain...

Very nice and quite around. Had an amazing view with horses.
The gusthouse is clean, had a lot of facilities for self cooking.
Got a room in the second floor, the stairs really small and slippary.
The bathroom is quite small

Location is terrific, and having horses close by was a plus for our youngest one.
The staff was very nice, and the view from the living room is very nice.
Me and my wife felt the bed being quite uncomfortable. The stair to the bedrooms is quite steep and maybe not accessible for young children (like my 2 year old), or people that have difficulty moving.
The bathrooms are tiny, and I was too tall for the showers (I am only 185 cm tall). I understand why they are so small, but bit inconvenience.
The "castle" with the slide is old, and quite disgusting.
There is no charging for electric cars.

This is an up-market hostel rather than what we call a 'guesthouse'. Well equipped kitchen. We didn't see any one on arrival or departure. Beautiful location and we had an excellent view. Lovely to have the horses and flowers all around.
Lack of human contact with owners. No freezer or washing machine. The front door frequently locked on us and we could not get in and no one ever came when we rang the bell again and again. Front door key was not supplied on the room key. Only two small bathrooms for the entire house and no washbasins in rooms.

The advertising for this place does not do it justice. this was a hidden gem for us. Check out the horse tours and get a discount on the room if you book directly through them. Very well stocked kitchen, clean property and wonderful staff. One of the best places we stayed while traveling Iceland.
