About this cabin rental

The Lakeside Chalet is a one-of-a-kind home, located a short drive from Big Trees State Park & downtown Murphys. The craftmanship in the home is unperilled in the area, w/impeccable attention to detail & fully upgraded amenities. Designed with beautiful materials w/modern and rustic pieces, the cabin can sleep up to 8 people comfortably. The raised deck provides beautiful views of the lake. New Hot Tub seats 6-7 adults. 1 dog ok.

Highlights-A/C & central heat, Gas BBQ, WiFi, large raised deck, Hot Tub seats 6-7, downstairs kids TV/playroom.

Beautifully maintained cabin with fully upgraded kitchen with granite counters. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is unmatched.

There are two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the upstairs guest bedroom has a bunk bed with two full size beds. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The downstairs den is a great area for the kids to hangout , watch TV and play games.

Flat driveway makes for easy parking of two to three vehicles.

Guests will have access to the entire cabin

Recording Camera Devices:
There is a Ring device that records movement at the front door and driveway. There are no other active recording devices located outside or indoors.

NOTE: There are other inactive outdoor cameras located on the front and rear of the house and front of garage, just below the roof overhang that Will NOT be recording during your reservation. The security system is not activated.

We had a very relaxing stay! Weather was perfect for nights in the hot tub. Plenty of towels for everyone and lots of space. Close proximity to Calaveras Big Trees and nearby fishing spots. Did have to message Dawn a few times but we made due until we got a response. Thanks for a great stay!

our stay was great. kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and prepping. cabin is super cozy with heater and gas fireplace. rooms were comfy and the hot tub was perfect for the kids. the location is good too, with a court to play on.

Dawn was extremely accommodating. We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Great location to nearby activities including Bear Valley. Would definitely recommend.

This stay was exactly what our family needed. My daughter asked for a get-a-way for her 14th bday to escape life for a bit. The place was clean, good quality bedding and appliances and host highly communicative. Location was gorgeous. We even got fresh beautiful powder snow the second morning we arrived. Would highly recc. We will be back!!!

We loved our time at Dawn's property. It snowed the first night we were there and we got to watch it falling down on the trees as we cuddled up by the fireplace. Absolutely loved the ease of the thermostat controlled fireplaces (on both floors!). The kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed for cooking, and the layout was perfect for casual hanging out as a family. The jet tub was a welcome treat after our trip to the snow park. The cleaners were running late so our check in was delayed, but Dawn was in excellent communication with us and gave us some additional time (as well as a discount!) for checkout which was so kind. Would definitely stay here again.

This cabin worked out great for a multi family stay with the in laws. Open concept kitchen/living space. Two good size bedrooms upstairs (one with bunks, and one with slider to deck) and a nice bathroom with great shower/tub. There are stairs near the dining area that are a bit steep (I think a baby gate with little ones would be ideal) that lead down to another two rooms. One room/den with couches, pull out bed, and tv and another nice room with queen and private bathroom and laundry. Great view of private lake from deck and only a short drive down to visit the lake which is nice for swimming and picnics. Gas BBQ on deck hooked directly to propane line so no worries of switching out tanks. Well stocked kitchen as well as towels and linens. Overall, great experience and look forward to returning. The host communicated well and was quick to respond to any questions we had. (Pro tip - screen shot the WiFi password before getting into the area as cell signal can be spotty)

Wonderful Getaway

When we arrived it was freezing outside, but the cabin was warm and cozy. We arrived just after the big storm and the host worked miracles to get us in despite the new snow. Great yard for sledding and rooms were all nicely appointed. We will come again!

Beds were not made when arrived, Blankets for beds were dirty so we had to do laundry upon arrival, smaller home than expected, was promised information/video as to how to use the Murphy bed-never received. No access to the garbage, garage and had to purchase hand soap for the kitchen sink. Home was cute and on a quiet court-which was great for the kids.

Great Home with lots of things to look forward

It is a great place for family vacation. We had kids with us who enjoyed TV downstairs. Bedrooms are cozy with many bedding options. The best part is updated kitchen and living room. It is fully stocked with cooking utensils. Good view of the pond, even though it was dry when we visited. If there is Jacuzzi for relaxation then it will be great. I already planned my next visit to stay in this house. It is truly home away from Home !! Highly recommend !!

This was our first rental using Vrbo. Upon arriving at the location I didn’t have cell phone service so I couldn’t check for the access code to enter the home. I checked back thru the email sent by Dawn (owner/host) it luckily she supplied the WiFi in that email. I was able to access the homes WiFi and I called Dawn to get the code, but it went to voicemail. I was afraid we were going to have to sit for a while before we could get in, but that was not the case. Dawn called back within 30 - 45 seconds, and we spoke for a few moments. She provided the code and gave us some tips for the area. The place has been done up nicely and feels quite like home away from home. Everything is clearly marked with laminated signs all the way down to how to work the coffee maker. We were supprised to see the little extra details and things that this host provided. There was coffee readily available and pretty much everything needed as far as kitchen essentials. The home is stocked with so many linens for the bedding I was really impressed. Lots of extra pillows and various blankets of different types of material. The upstairs bathroom has a really nice jet spa tub that is huge. I am a really big guy and fit easily into it. It was nice to relax in after a day playing in the snow with the kids. Mostly all essential items are available in this place. Laundry supplies, bathroom supplies, soaps, shampoos and conditioners. Also provided were some sleighs in the back for us to use. You can really tell Dawn has put a lot of work into this house to make it feel as much like home as possible. Supposedly this place is getting a hot tub in the spring of 2021 and we would love to come back and utilize the place again if it is available in the future. This place is definitely a 5 out of 5 and I only gave the 4 stars for the cleanliness as a few items seemed to get missed by the cleaners. Dawns place is a great rental and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get away and relax in a cabin setting and enjoy nature!
