About this chalet rental
With a huge open plan kitchen, dining & living room at the heart of the main floor, this is a vacation property offering you unrivalled opportunities for entertaining or relaxing. There are Four King bedrooms each with their own en-suite bathroom. Two of these bedrooms are configurable as oversized twin beds. One large family room with two hide a beds for extra guests. Grand total of 8 beds all together.
A private eight person Hot Tub.
Media room, mud room, underfloor heating, double garage, additional parking, two decks and dedicated laundry room. Five TVs & five digital satellite TV boxes and a 2 player Cocktail Arcade Multicade Theme Arcade game console.

The main gondola plaza is less than five minutes away by a short walk. In the winter season, a ski-able path is available at the end of the road, down to the main lift. During weekends and holidays, the pioneer lift is also operational, and is a short walk away. The map below gives you more colour on the location of the house and the lifts, as well as other amenities at the resort.

Our house has been designed with modern life in mind. The main floor is set up with a generous open plan kitchen, living and dining area. This is complemented by a front deck providing views over onto the valley and a large rear deck housing the main eight person hot tub. Both decks come with seating, and there is a table with chairs and a BBQ on the back deck.
It is perfect for entertaining or simply relaxing as a family group. We can also host events and provide catering services upon request, and my housekeeper can be booked for cleaning services during your stay.
All four bedrooms are en suite. Two bedrooms are fixed as King beds and the other two can be configured as King beds or two twin beds. Additional guests can be accommodated in the media room, with a Queen sofa bed.
All four bedrooms also have their own TV & digital satellite box. There is an additional fifth TV & digital satellite box in the media room, which comes with surround sound & a blue ray DVD player.
The master bedroom and en suite is located on the main floor. The other three bedrooms and the media room are located on the lower level. The hallway leads into the mud room and further into a laundry room. Access continues into a double garage with heated flooring and ample space for storage. Further parking is available on the generous driveway.

We had an outstanding stay at this beautiful vacation rental! The layout of the house was excellent—spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of room for everyone. It was well-appointed with everything we needed, making our stay incredibly comfortable. Although it's very close to the Kicking Horse ski area, we visited in the off-ski season to explore the Canadian National Parks, and while it's a little off the main path for that, it was still very convenient for our trips. Golden, just 15 minutes away, offered many excellent restaurants, making dinners easy and enjoyable. The home was delivered impeccably clean and tidy, and the overall value was exceptional. I highly recommend this property and will definitely return on our next visit!

Property is as advertised. Beautiful Mountain View’s, spacious, fully loaded kitchen and bathrooms. Smaller hot tub wasn’t working during our stay which was a bummer. *Warning* Neighbor is a big stickler about ANY noise, he would consistently nag us about being out in the hot tub even though it was before the posted “quiet hours.” Sort of made my group always feel like we were walking on egg shells to not bother this gentleman because he seemed like a wildcard. Not only did he expect a group of people in their mid 20’s to be as silent as a church mouse before 10pm he would have a whole construction crew at 6am with an excavator digging post holes… Also I may have overlooked it but this property doesn’t have air conditioning so it gets pretty toasty for summer visitors. My group experienced power outages that lasted 5+ hours about three times. Not sure if that is normal for the

We had a good stay. The house was the perfect size to host our family weekend (8 adults and one toddler). We all enjoyed the space for a long weekend would come back in the future.
A few things about the house that didn’t make our stay a 5 star weekend was that the second hot tub was not operational, and the host did not communicate this to us in advance of our weekend (it had no water in it). We also found that the kitchen was not adequately stocked for large groups (only 3 wine glasses, 2 dishwasher pods, half a paper towel roll, almost no dish soap,etc). At the price point we expected better stock of these essentials without the need to reach out to the host. When we did reach out for some items, there was no additional stock available. There were also no outdoor glassware which made it more challenging to be outside. We also found that in general there were not enough towels for the hot tub and showers (less than one per person for a three night stay) and most rooms were missing light bulbs in the lamps. The house would benefit from a thorough property management review to make sure it is well stocked/operational. Lastly, there seemed to be a plumbing issue which only allowed one person to shower at a time. This wouldn’t have been an issue if we were notified in advance, however we discovered the issue when the water shut off mid shower for some family members.
Overall we did enjoy our stay, but there were some bigger issues that took away from our experience being 5/5.

We loved our stay at this very spacious, well-appointed home! Appreciated that all bedrooms offered equal privacy, ensuites and comfort. The new furniture in the living room was so nice and accommodated a large group. Loved the massage chair after skiing and even is adults enjoyed the corner Pac-Man Etc console for daily challenges!

This property was just perfect for our family and guests. Located right on the Kicking Horse resort, which is super convenient. Ski in and out. The home is absolutely beautiful and was delivered super clean and tidy. There were so many extra’s not advertised like a real arcade video game and super high end massage chair (which everyone was fighting for after a long day of skiing). The home came super stocked with lots of extra spices and condiments. The best part of the home was the open concept where everyone could gather and socialize. The best layout I have seen. Carmen the host was super helpful and amazing to work with. I would definitely rent again if the home was available next year. I would highly recommend renting this unit.

Our group of two families travels west for skiing every year and we love Kicking Horse. This was our first time at this property and we loved it. Beautiful views, easy access to alpine and Nordic skiing, wonderful hot tub, well equipped kitchen with lots of space for sous-chefs, comfortable rooms, excellent ski room, helpful host, and an inviting great room where we could relax together apres ski. We have already booked for next year!

This place was perfect for our family getaway of 12. Well equipped, nice bedrooms/bathrooms, comfy beds, open concept for all to visit. I did give a few less stars on the accuracy of the online listing because there were only 9 forks for 12 people, and the one hot tub wasn't actually working (which we weren't told until the day after we were there and my parents were looking forward to it). Other than that, it was great!

Only way it could have been better if we were allowed to change our date due to air quality due to forest fires and two expecting mothers nervous to chance air quality in some of our locations. Though we didn’t realize it was a Canadian holiday weekend so totally understandable why that was not possible to switch our date. Wonderful place!!

Our stay was amazing! The chalet was perfect for our group of 12. Plenty of room and everything was spotless and ! The huge well appointed kitchen made meal prep easy. We really enjoyed the big hot tub after a long day of skiing. The rooms were spacious and the beds super confortable.
Proximity to the lifts is great! It was just a short walk to where we could put our skis on and ski down to the main lodge.
We would definitely stay here again!

This property was excellent in every way. It was extremely clean. It was the most well-appointed vacation home we had ever stayed in... tons of dishes/glassware/cookware/small kitchen appliances/coffee/spices/miscellaneous cupboard food/etc. The location was excellent. It was only a couple minute walk from the house to the path beside Kicking Horse Trail which you could ski down right to the day lodge. We even managed to ski-in right to the driveway (with a little bit of skiing on the snow-covered road).
It is a pretty big property with lots of space on the main floor and a huge kitchen which was great for hanging out with everyone while dinner was cooking. The pictures don't show it, but there is a big TV mounted on the wall to the right of the fireplace which was nice to have on the main floor (even though it was very high). The hot tub off the back deck was a nice way to unwind after a day on the slopes.
The title of the property is a bit misleading as there's really 4 bedrooms (1 upstairs & 3 downstairs) + a den (downstairs) with two pull-out sofas. This wasn't a problem for us as we had 5 adult couples so we slept comfortably. However, if you were expecting "5 Bedrooms + Den" (so 6 separate sleeping areas) you could be disappointed.
In any case I would absolutely stay here again. This has instantly become one of our favourite properties.

We had 8 people for our ski trip. House was amazing! Plenty of room for everyone. Huge kitchen with lots of counter space for preparing and serving meals. An extra fridge in the garage and wine fridge in the island (along with main kitchen fridge) easily fit all our food for meals and drinks. Huge boot room with heated floor that easily accommodated everyone and their gear. 8 person hot tub actually fit 8 people. My personal fave was access to the heated floor garage. Made unloading and loading vehicles much easier. 100% would stay here again. Carmen was very friendly and accommodating, twice stopping by to drop off minor items that were missing from the house. Very pleasant experience.

This place is special. Carmen was awesome to deal with from first communication and the house exceeded expectations. We were visiting golden for a golf tournament with a few different families and this house gave us incredible flexibility. The house is well stocked and the main floor is an absolute perfect place to gather and hang out. Hot tub and outdoor spaces were also great bonuses. Would absolute recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

We absolutely loved this home. It was large, spacious, well appointed and very clean. The view of the mountains form the front deck is spectacular. We enjoyed eating dinner out there every evening during our stay. The location is perfect for a wide variety of activities. We hiked in Glacier NP, Yoho NP, Banff NP, Kootenay NP and The Icefields Parkway. All with in just about an hours drive. Amazing! We did a wonderful Paddle Board trip down the Columbia River just 20 mins away. Of course Kicking Horse Ski Resort is right there with plenty of activities and a few eateries and the town Golden is just 15 mins down the road with a fair amount of good options. Overall just an awesome experience. Carmen was a great host and very responsive as well. To me this location is a no brainier over a very crowded and super touristy Banff. We will be be back!!

Great House with a Great Host
We loved our stay at this property. Carmen was beyond accommodating - from letting us check in early, to supplying mattress toppers for the pull out, to letting us stay late due to avalanche control closing the highway on departure date, and even returning a coat left in the closet!
For anyone wondering, the garage has an extra beer fridge (big win!) and the house has 4 bedrooms plus a den. This is clearly outlined in the house description so maybe this is on me, but I originally missed this based on the rental title.

Amazing Stay close to the hill
We loved our stay at this location. It was super close to the hill and also to XC ski paths. It was extremely spacious and each bedroom had their own bathroom, making the stay extremely comfortable. Carmen was very responsive and always was available to provide support. Would highly recommend this stay and we will definitely be back for another ski trip!

Great property! Spacious, but still cozy. Kitchen is great and is well-equipped. Living room TV is viewable from the hot tub, which is a nice touch. Perfect for watching the Olympics on! During our stay, the hot tub chemicals were a bit harsh, but otherwise the 2 hot tubs were great to have. The property is in a good ski in/out spot as well, with only a short walk (~1 min) needed to ski out.

Amazing Property
The house was exactly as the pictures showed and very comfortable for our group of 10. The kitchen was well stocked with variety of cooking tools, utensils, bakeware, etc. We cooked up a feast every night and Carmen was right in that all we had to do was bring our food. There was nothing lacking in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable overall, even the individuals that slept on the sofa beds did not complain too much. House was easy to find with the provided directions and so recognizable that we didn't even need the address. Access to the gondola was a short walk and an even quicker ski down to the resort. We loved staying at your place and hope to come back one day. Thank you.

Beautiful and well stocked home!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. This home is amazing. It's very well stocked and clean and has plenty of room for our group of 7.
Our only difficulty during our stay was the location. It is a bit further from Banff National Park compared to other areas which was the main purpose of our visit. Unfortunately, Highway 1 from Golden to Banff fully closed for construction during our stay here which meant an extra 1.5hr detour each way. Because of this, we decided to book another place in Canmore to stay because the commute to these parks was unbearable from Golden.
All in all, we had a great stay at this place and would've loved to stay here during out whole stay. Unfortunately, because of the road closure, we had to book another place last minute which resulted in double paying for housing. If you're visiting Banff/Yoho/Jasper national parks, you should check the road closures as it seems this will take some time and may significantly impact your travel to these parks as the Hwy 1 road closure may last for some time due to expanding the highway.
