Perfect Place for self-drive tourist. Experiencing a spacious and tranquil Italian village feeling.

Location
It wasn't good value for money. We paid more than 400 Euros per night and we had to pay for each bottle of half a litter water bottle in the room. The breakfast was bare min and we had to pay extra if we wanted scrambled egg or bacon. There was no hair conditionair or body lotion provided in the room. It was nice but not for what we were charged.

Lorenzo is a wonderful host. The guest house is beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast is excellent and there is a beautiful sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. Cooking classes with Sylvia is a must. This is a beautiful place to stay and we will be returning .
transport in and out of the city can be challenging and you have to go by taxi. We were there at the same time as the Fashion week so taxis were at a premium. However Lorenzo organised taxis for us and this was very helpful.

Nice location close to Firenze centro.
Hot breakfast (eggs and bacon) cost extra. This was the first time in our 14 day journey that we had to pay extra €5 for eggs or €8 for bacon if I remember correct. We expected for the price that it would have been invluded.

It was wonderfully quiet and elegantly understated. Don’t come here if you want Glitz!
It felt more like a home than hotel in a good way.it felt very secure with electric gate for long drive good if on your own.
Swimming pool pleasant clean and sheltered
Breakfast adequate but not abundant.
We weren’t sure which towels were meant for pool as none on sun beds

We came back after 7 years to this property and found it in impeccable condition just as we left it. Lorenzo and team really took great care of us. A stunning property and real gem not far from the city.

nice and very clean rooms, great location. the staff was very friendly
it’s a little bit overpriced, also the breakfast had just a few options you could have chose from. i mean there were just sweets like croissants, jam, brownies, no actual food.

Love this place. Not in the heart of Florence which is perfect. Having a car in Florence is east and recommended. This felt like I was in the wine country but in reality 10 min from the Ponte Vecchio.
Breakfast is too order and complimentary for fresh espresso and all the continental items.
Would return for sure, perfect couple getaway

Nice really big place with garden, big yard. Everything has been decorated with full of certain style.
Road connection is though actually google map location is really uncomfortable. Precisely check the map to the gate.
Breakfast included yet you should consider additions. Free buffet is limited.
If you have a low height (ground clearance) or sports car parking and also entry by the gate can be complicated. Be gentle.

A very welcoming accommodation with a traditional feel in beautiful surroundings. The pool was a lovely addition, although the water was very cold even in 30+ degrees heat!!
The staff were so kind and attentive and we felt very welcome, nothing was too much trouble.
The food was tasty and there was always plenty to eat for breakfast, as well as a big evening meal on the half board option, (it would have been nice to have a menu given to us at the start as we had no idea how much food we would be getting and pigged out on bread!!)
There were apparently very limited to no non-alcohol options for drinks, and being pregnant I was getting a bit bored of just water after a while, but I did find that to be the case in a number of places in Florence.
There wasn't a lot to do on the premises and not really possible to explore outside the gates on foot, due to it being close to a dal carriageway and a very steep winding road - this is fine if you're prepared to fully relax and do nothing but lay by the pool, or you can get a taxi easily into Florence and the surrounding areas.
The taxi on the way there didn't know the venue and google maps took us the wrong way up a very narrow steep road which led to nowhere, so we ended up having to call the hotel to find out how to get there - apparently this happens a lot so might be a good idea for the hotel to update the incorrect directions with Google!

highly recommend!! an amazing boutique hotel with stunning grounds just 15 mins from Florence city centre! the staff were so welcoming and friendly and with just 10 rooms, it felt like the place was our own hide away… perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.

Good buffet breakfast. Swimming pool is a plus.
spa area not well maintained.
Dinner is a 5/10 for Italian standards

quaint and tucked away in the mountains yet so close to the city
very narrow roadway leading up and not so clear at night how to get there

The staff were very helpful - especially Francesca. She helped us make dinner reservations on two evenings and provided local hiking suggestions.
The location is very difficult to get to. The entrance is hidden on a busy round-about directly off the highway and our GPS navigated us incorrectly multiple times. There are also no walking paths that lead to and from the property so you always need a car or taxi. Once you are at the property it feels secluded but getting there is difficult.

Super friendly staff, especially the receptionist who also prepared a nice vegetarian dinner for me. And she was very helpful in giving me tips about Florence.
From the hotel it’s a 15 min drive to a large parking place and then it’s a 20 min walk into town.
You can hear the highway which is annoying if you sleep with your windows open. Perhaps there are other rooms that don’t have this issue.

+ Location > less then 10 min from Florence. Park at the Porta Romana. Parking Ultrarno at the roundabout.
+ Nice views of surrounding area.
+ Well maintained hotel and garden. Parking can be a challenge.
- Shower > sometimes you only get really hot water or only cold water. Never what you want 😉
- breakfast > Bit cheapy cheapy. You have to pay extra for meat/chease and also if you want a omelette.
-Swimmingpool > sometimes some rural noices near the swimming pool of a rooster and dogs.. also the hotel is near a busy road.
- Price > to high in my opinion. But we went during the high season…

Charging extra for eggs at breakfast was really strange. Charging 121 EUR for a light lunch is ridiculous!!

You drive onto the property and expectations are already met. Beautiful, well-kept driveway in the typical Tuscan country house style. The same style continues in the premises. Warm unpretentious welcome with an extremely attentive host. Thanks to the staff.
Parking lot is not suitable for racing cars😉

Nice and calm location on a hill just outside the city of Florence. Possible to walk into the city through the mostly calm neighbourhood. Taxi ride is around 17 €. Recommended to use the local taxi app.
If you arrive by car be prepared to find the entrance to the hotel on your first attempt (it's the gate in the first turn when u get up from the roundabout). The road around the hill is rather narrow with only few spots to turn.
