efficient living, a view of the water, fresh ocean air, conveniently located. Welcome to the Rusty Anchor Guesthouse.
The full kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer, gas stove & oven, microwave & hood fan, coffee pot, toaster and tea kettle. Plus all the pots, pans, dishes and utensils you'll need to be able to cook during your stay. You'll also find an assortment of coffee, tea and quick breakfast options, including freshly laid eggs!
Enjoy the gas fireplace, comfy couch and fast wifi while you watch a movie on the 42in TV. A Firestick is provided so you can use your favorite streaming service.
The bathroom features modern fixtures, local live-edge counter, plush towels, on-demand hot water and mirrored closet with hangers and 2 drawers.
Ample off-street parking is provided directly in front of the guesthouse, in the private driveway.
We live in the main house, and the Guesthouse is completely separate. With self check-in, personal door code and private driveway, you'll be free to come and go as you please with complete privacy. We're just a text message away if you need anything.

Please help us keep the cleaning fee low by leaving the guesthouse just as you found it.
Residential quiet hours in effect.
Guests may NOT bring extra beds. No air/foam mattresses, cots or other floor beds.
Please do not move or rearrange the furniture.
No animals of any kind are allowed inside the Guesthouse. Due to our animals on the property (dog, cat, chickens and bees) it is NOT safe for any other animals. Airbnb's Health & Safety exemptions (where it pertains to guest's animals) are in effect. This means NO animals.
All coolers must remain outside, or in your car.
If excessive cleaning is necessary due to bodily fluids/biohazard, you will be charged at least $100 extra, possibly more depending on the severity of the situation. This extra charge is at the sole discretion of the host.
Although not required, we highly suggest you purchase Cancel For Any Reason Travel Insurance. Whether the issue for needing to cancel is illness or accident, bad weather, flight delays or cancellations or any other reason you are unable to make the trip, travel insurance will be your refund opportunity. We will not act as your travel insurer. Please be sure to read our cancellation policy, which will be not be modified or adjusted.

Pam’s guesthouse was the perfect place for a little solo getaway! I felt like I was staying at a boutique hotel with all the thoughtful amenities. It was clean and private and went beyond my expectations. Would definitely stay here again!

Pamela has thought of everything (and then some!) that a guest might need or want. The converted garage space, in a quiet historic residential neighborhood was the most pristine rental we’ve experienced. Comfy bed, filtered water in the fridge, coffee (no milk), even eggs (probably from the chickens on the opposite end of their house next door.,

Thank you so much for a very comfortable three nights. This little rental is very big on detail and impeccably clean. To our surprise the hosts kindly left us the most beautiful blue speckled eggs in the refrigerator. There are countless thoughtful extras you just can’t imagine. The hosts are very warm and welcoming. We wish them all the best and hope to stay again.

I love this property and stayed here again this year while my teen daughter attended a day camp for the week. The host, Pam is so kind and the cottage so well appointed and organized. It makes me want to go declutter and organize my own house!! Love how close we are to town, the water for peaceful evening walks and will definitely come back if the opportunity presents itself!!

We had a wonderful stay at Pamela’s cottage. The bed and pillows were so comfortable! She had it well stocked with many things to make our stay enjoyable. All communication with Pamela was very prompt.
One day we cycled to the ferry that took us to Lopez island where we enjoyed the sights by bike. Another day we went to Tulalip outlet mall, just an hour away. We enjoyed walks around the quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Sunsets were stunning.
We would happily return!

Can't say enough about how responsive and nice Pam was to work with. She reach out to me hours before check-in letting me know that if I arrived early the place was ready. the amenities were top shop shelf. And I mean every little detail . Kitchen was well stocked. Even fresh eggs and butter in the fridge. I stay at places like this often when I travel. It sure is a delight when you stumble upon a place done as nicely as this one.

The house was perfect, the host was perfect. The wife and i loved this cozy studio, Pam made it feel even cozier with the decor and everything that was provided for us, which was honestly just about everything you would need for a relaxing stay. Its about a block away from the Guemes island ferry you can literally look out the door to see it depart theres a beautiful little beach a walk away from the house. If your thinking of going to Anacortes or anywhere near you need to stay here. I wish i could rate higher cause i would. Thank you so much for the beautiful weekend stay Pam!!

This guest house was well appointed. Clean and very comfortable with so many extra touches. The location was perfect and close to town. Anacortes offers so many amenities. We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay and hope to return again.

Don't let the name "The Rusty Anchor" fool you! This VRBO is Very clen, beautifully decorated, and in a wonderful location with a view of the sound. Attention has been given to every detail, and you will find no lack of essentials and extras too.

We stayed here celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. Typically small places like this are made as cheaply as possible, with cheap appliances, decorations, furniture, etc so that’s what I was expecting. When I walked in I was SHOCKED at how nice everything was! Even a gas stove range. We loved the robes, fuzzy socks, any toiletries we could ever need, very nice and clean cookware, and the icing on the cake was the eggs in the fridge from the chickens we could see in the yard! The place was so clean we could have eaten off the floor. I wish I could take this place everywhere we traveled!

The property was wonderful. It had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed our short time in the property and in Anacortes walking to and from downtown. We toured the area: the tulip festival; Le Conner, Pam’s dinner recommendation in Le Conner was perfect; Mount Vernon, it was all spectacular. Thanks Pam for the lovely stay.

This property is simply amazing. There are so many extra little touches that make it a home away from home. The bedding is extremely comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked and allowed me to cook effortlessly and safely. The fresh eggs from the chickens on-site were delicious. I wish I could have spent more time in this location!!! Go ahead and book it, you won’t be disappointed.

This well-stocked and charming detached guesthouse is a perfect location for catching the Guemes Island Ferry and for exploring old Anacortes. Pam is a wonderful host who makes everything very comfortable.

The trusty Anchor was the perfect place for my teen daughter and I to stay for the week while she attended a day camp in the area. The place is so thoughtfully stocked with whatever you might need. I honestly don't know where to begin! Every detail of our stay couldn't have been better! The host was such a down to earth sweetheart and the guest house had absolutely everything we needed! So cozy and cute and the location was ideal! Clean and comfortable, we will definitely be back!

We had a one night stay in Anacortes before our ferry ride the following morning. Pamela, our host, gave great instructions to make our check in smooth. We were greeted by soft and relaxing music and a welcoming, fresh, and cozy decor! The farm fresh eggs were amazing and we had all the kitchen supplies we needed. I loved all the modern appliances and attention to detail that made our stay so nice! Pamela also gave us a head’s up about a visiting sea lion in the area. We didn’t see it but how cool is that? Thanks Pamela for a great stay!

Firstly, let me say that we had a fairly last minute change of plans and the owner was super accommodating and went above and beyond to allow a refund and allow us to change dates. She did not have to do that and it was very much appreciated! The suite is beautiful, roomy, comfortable, and in a great location. In addition, the personal touches and conveniences that have been added would make anyone feel right at home. Our only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer. Highly recommend!

Hidden Gem in Annacortes
We absolutely loved our stay at the Rusty Anchor! It was the perfect place to start our honeymoon. This rental property is SO CUTE and immaculate. We could not believe the attention to detail. This place is a hidden gem. We would highly recommend.

Peace and Quiet at the Rusty Ancho
This property was easy to book, access, and stay at. It was quite clean and comfortable and no detail was missed. The fresh eggs were a plus! The Rusty Anchor is located within walking distance to downtown and the water. Easy access to catch a ferry to visit the other islands. I was looking for peace and quiet and I found it! Pamela was a great host!

Amazing sweet stay
This was the perfect place for a week in Anacortes. The layout of the space is extremely thoughtful and allows for all the comforts. Clean, bright, close to everything. The fireplace was a delight after a day of sightseeing. Pamela was easy to contact and quick to respond. Highly recommend!
