I would have given this hotel 5 stars were it not for the fact that the heat/ac unit appears to be from 1975 and made it impossible to sleep. I was either freezing or sleeping right next to what sounded like a jet engine. No thermostat. Just a ridiculously loud, giant contraption blasting out very hot air or nothing at all. I'd turn it off and then freeze (because the blankets on the bed were, well, not blankets but more like thick sheets, which is weird for the Pacific NW in November), so then I'd turn it back on but it really was so loud and so close to the bed. Everything else about the hotel is updated, clean, and cute. But I don't care about cute coffee cups and hipster decor if I can't sleep. Why update everything else but leave the ancient heat/ac units from whatever previous life the place had?

The room was small. There was a shelf on one side of the king size bed and a small utility “desk”or “shop” lamp on that side. Nothing on the opposite bed side to put anything on like a cellphone, alarm clock, glasses, book, etc. There was not an outlet there either. No phone to request a wake-up call. One outlet under the desk. Could not watch Seattle news because “Pluto” didn’t carry current news, and they kept losing the signal. The news was old. We were there for 4 nights and we never figured out how to get common TV. The room didn’t have a closet, just a couple of hangars. No table for eating, just a desk and one chair. We will not stay here again, and cannot recommend it to others.

great lil room . VERY clean. updated, no elevator. no annoying smells! Staff was so friendly! only issue was : we stayed on first floor and the folks upstairs sounded like...yikes!! you can hear every pounding footstep!! we almost called the front desk...maybe stay on the top floor...but be considerate of your footing!

The room was bright and cheery. It was cleaned well but there was a lite bit of dust, as though it had been unused for awhile. The only 100% pet- free room is on the 2nd floor with no elevator. They have a large very nice outdoor patio available to the guests. This is a converted mid-century motel. I recommend earplugs if you are a lite sleeper.

The room is new-tech but the TV is useless, the wi-fi is feeble and, tho it has a microwave and nice kitchen cabinets, there are no bowls or plates or silverware. The shelf “nightstand “ is so tiny, there’s hardly room for a cup & phone.

This is the first time I have stayed here and i would stay here again. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. They had a couple waters and snacks left for guests in the room which was a thoughtful touch. The room was very competivley priced and that is why i gave it a shot. If the room was regular orice, i may have tried something else.

This is a renovated motel, with very limited service. Nice mattress. but only one reading bare bulb light. No food service. Plan on making your own breakfast in the .microwave.

Design, design, design. What a delightful treat to find a place with such an eye for and commitment to design. the rooms are beautiful, the outdoor seating area and the overall effect of stunning wood in so many places throughout the structure. I would definitely return here.

We were locked out of our room for an hour and we were unable to reach any staff to assist us. The staff neglected to mention that the rooms would be locked up on too many incorrect attempts. The room was nice otherwise.

Such a beautiful property! The rooms were perfect and had everything I could need- fridge, microwave, comfortable beds with lots of pillows. I will definitely be staying there anytime I am in Anacortes!

This is the cutest Inn. The room was great and conveniently located in a wonderful location. The decor is sweet and everything seems new! The only thing is that the walls are paper thin so you can literally hear someone snoring in the next room, their conversations or the TV. I was on the bottom level and it sounded like the people walking upstairs were going to fall through the ceiling. I even had earplugs but they didn’t seem to do anything. The ladies at the front desk are great! Easy parking.

Hotel looks great price is high for the quality of the facilities . I was on a room on the main floor and the noise in the room above us was insane, it felt as if the were in our room. There seemed to be no insulation and the wooden ceilings seemed to make the noise stronger.

Plywood ceilings with no insulation make the rooms very, very loud. Rude service- early morning texts on checkout day and knocks on door by housekeeping to try to make us leave early. Vulgar and unprofessional.
