Great location, lovely house, host always very responsive throughout the process - would stay again!

Loved the house. Great location.

This house is older so expect some quirkiness. The location is fabulous. It was within easy walking distance to everything Traverse City has to offer. There isn't an enclosed outdoor area for your pet but the neighbor was really nice to walk in and I felt safe walking at night. Bring measuring spoons and a measuring cup if you plan to do any cooking as they didn't have these items on hand. The property could also use more kitchen hand towels. The bathroom linens were very nice and plentiful. The bedding was great. I would also suggest bringing a couple throw blankets as the property didn't seem to have any. We would definitely rent here again despite it missing a couple things. It was a lovely stay for us and our pup!

The blue house was perfect for our visit to TC and Sleeping Bear Dunes.

My wife and I visit Traverse frequently and wanted to bring our parents with us for a special trip. The house was a great value at a great location with several handy businesses within walking distance. Beds were very comfortable and the area was pretty quiet, I'm not sure we ever slept so well while traveling. The house is very well kept and we enjoyed all of it.

Everything was as depicted online. A truly amazing base to explore all that Traverse City has to offer and beyond. Great location, walkable to downtown yet quiet vicinity.
Only one minor point was the lack of bath plug with smaller children however on the plus side it got them more familiar with showers!

We loved staying at the Little Blue House!! The property owner/manager was super easy to work with and did a fantastic job communicating! The house was clean and in a fantastic location. We will definitely be coming back!!!!
4.8
Great location with lots of walkable options for coffee, drinks and food. Off the downtown beat just enough to be an easy walk but avoiding congestion. Would stay again!

We had a great time at this beautiful, clean and remodeled home right in downtown TC. I would recommend this house to other families as well. Everything was just as described and had a really cool vibe. The outdoor porch furniture was comfortable and fun for people watching. Will be back next summer! The host was very friendly including leaving us a bottle of wine after the long car ride 😊

The location of this is house is great. It’s about a mile from Great Wolf, close to downtown, and within very close walking distance to a brewery, burger restaurant, coffee shop, liquor/convenience store, CVS, and a speedway. There’s honestly everything you need within walking distance, it was fantastic.
The house set up was exactly as described. More than comfortable and the host was extremely quick with all communication.
It’s been mentioned in several reviews, but no bathroom on 2nd floor, which wasn’t a problem for us, but the stairs are fairly steep with it being an older house, so I could see them being more difficult for older families or people with any mobility or vision difficulties.
10/10 recommend

Great place to stay! Walking distance to downtown and the beach. House was cute and had an amazing front porch to hang out on. Highly recommend!

Loved the location!! 7 blocks or so from downtown. Didn't realize from the photos that there really isn't a back yard. There is a parking lot in back that has 2 spots reserved for this house. Wasn't a problem though. Sharing one bathroom for the 5 of us was a little tough but doable.

Great location, cute place, amazing communication with rental property staff!!

We had a great stay with our dogs at The Blue House. Communication with the property manager was excellent. Check-in/check-out was a breeze. And, we really appreciated the map and bottle of wine which was present upon our arrival. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

wonderful location, clean, and great communication!

Property is conveniently located. House was clean and as described. A few minor things could be better. It has a tiny bathroom sink and there are not any extra blankets or extra kitchen towels. The grill was also nice, but there are not any grilling tools. Beds were very comfortable!
I was slightly surprised by the extra pet fee. It’s noted at the bottom of the house description but not listed in the fees or policies. We entered a pet in the reservation and were contacted about adding the pet fee to the reservation. It was my error for missing it but it’s not obvious.
The communication was good. Neighborhood nice.

Anazing place!
Close to town and the wineries over the weekend were amazing too.
Thank you for a great place!

I rented this house almost one year in advance. Everything from making adjustments to extend our stay to general questions to our host Katy were handled promptly and accurately. Upon arrival we pulled around to the back parking area which was very roomy and convenient for entering the house. The door code was easy and we really appreciated the motion sensor light on the back porch entrance. In addition on the back porch there is a nice sized gas grill for use. The older style house was just beautiful! It was nicely refinished, clean and decorated with a lot of character. All furniture was very comfortable and high quality. The kitchen was clean with cute matching red retro appliances and fully stocked with more than enough dishes, utensils and cookware. We never even unpacked our box of “just in case extras”. The bedding was incredibly comfortable! Everyone loved even the pillows! You just kind of sunk into the comfort of the beds. The bathroom was clean with nice quality towels and plenty of hot water for a house of six. Allowing our small dog was a plus. It was easy to take him out back and although we brought a doggie scoop they had a small trashcan with a scoop provided along with inside dog dishes. There is also a full size washer and dryer in a little side cove corner of the house . Katy definitely thought of all angles to making us comfortable. And it was such a nice touch to find a hand written note with a delicious bottle of wine.
We also went on a wine and spirits tour, this was one of our best total events ever!
Thank you so much to Katy for taking such good care of us!
We will definitely return!

We arrived the day after Christmas and the street near the property was so beautifully decorated with lights and had a winter wonderland effect.
The house is within walking distance to some restaurants and a darling coffee shop. Of course, when you are there in the winter pack the right outdoor gear to stay warm.
The TV and entertainment set up was very easy to work and conveniently located between the dining room and living area so while we played games at the dining table we could still watch tv.

We really enjoyed our stay at the blue house, and were thankful we were able to bring our dogs. The house was very clean and as pictured, the bed was comfortable, and the location was perfect - very walkable to restaurants and close to 31 to be able to get groceries and pick up a few things we forgot. Katy was very welcoming and responsive. Would definitely stay again!

We had such a nice time at the Blue House. The check in and check out process was easy, and the location could not have been better. We had such a great time in Traverse City and can’t wait to return!

This house has great decor and is right in town. Communication was awesome!

A group of 4 adults (and 1 dog) stayed in the Blue House for 3 nights in mid-September. The house is in a great location to explore downtown Traverse City, especially the many microbreweries and pubs. The house itself is nice and charming - we enjoyed having a glass of wine on the front porch. The only minor issue is the house has only 1 bathroom which is downstairs, with the 3 bedrooms being upstairs. Just be conscious of this when booking. Overall a great weekend in beautiful Traverse City.

We had a great stay at the blue house. It is very conveniently located, so you can walk to shops, dining and the lake, or you can take a short drive. It was also a great value compared to many of the other properties in the area. The beds were very comfortable, and the AC kept every room nice and cool for sleeping, but it was a little loud.
There is one bathroom on the first floor, and the bedrooms are upstairs. The decor is an interesting mix of different styles, and the chairs and couch in the living room are very comfortable. The front porch is great for watching the world go by, and some of the neighbors said hello as they walked by.
This was a great option for us, we spent a lot of time seeing Traverse City and used the house as a place to freshen up, spend a little down time, and sleep. If you are planning to get out and walk to attractions, and will appreciate a really good value, this could be a great option for you too. If having to walk downstairs to the bathroom in the middle of the night is going to be a problem, or if you're looking for a place where a large group can spend most of your time in the house, you might want to spend more and find a bigger space. We would definitely come back!

The Blue House was great - it is exactly as advertised and the value was great! Katy was very responsive and easy to work with. The house was very clean, well equipped in the kitchen and conveniently located. It was nice to relax on the front porch after a day full of activities. We would stay there again for sure!

MaRes, rdybe the perfect location!
This home is perfect for the long or short stay. The beds are super comfortable and each room had it’s own AC unit upstairs so comfort was A+. The two parking spaces in the back were huge since there is no on street parking.
If there was on negative, and I say this not so much as a negative but a caution. There is only one bathroom which was not a problem for our family but could be for some. However, this is picking nits and not something that should keep you from renting this amazing home.
Wishing 100 yards, great coffee shop, and amazing burgers at Slab Town.
If Traverse City is in your future, go for it.

Overall this property was great.
It was extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable. It was quiet and the decor was very cozy!!!
We would love to stay here again however there are a few things that we would suggest The owners address.
First of all; The property has wooden stairs. There we’re small carpet rugs on the staircase that move around and slip on the stairs. upon coming down the stairs the very first evening one of them slipped off of the bottom step and once I slipped onto the rug below it slipped out from underneath me and I fell and hurt myself Substantially. The rug has no grip underneath it and has no place being at the bottom of a staircase that slippery . I am unbelievably lucky how I fell as I could have hit my head or worse, but thankfully, an extremely bruised and painful hip, knee and ankle is what I got. I contacted the property and I got a one sentence reply back from them simply stating they will address it. I am a little shocked at the response and that is the reason for the star rating that I left.
Our other suggestion would be that there are almost no mirrors in the entire house. especially upstairs. There was one tiny make- up mirror in one of the bedrooms but nothing else upstairs we found.
Other than that there was a very small mirror in the bathroom and one skinny mirror in the dining room on the floor in an odd place.
We also could not seem to find any extra blankets or dishtowels.
I want to also note that the grass was the only yard that hadn’t been cut and what looks like weeks. It looked very rundown with very long tall grass over a foot in some spots.

Came through town to pick up son at Interlochen. Place was clean, tasteful and charming. Great communication throughout. Great location - walking distance to some nice spots to eat. Hip and relaxed.

The layout of The Blue House suited our needs perfectly and we enjoyed a wonderful getaway. We were especially thrilled to be able to bring our 2 dogs with us on our first visit to Traverse City. The house is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown, and provided every amenity for a comfortable stay for our family of 4 (+ 2 dogs). We appreciated easy parking and excellent communication from Katy throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

We went in the off season and had fun with friends in TC. The house is older and the bedrooms, bathrooms, stairwell and doorways are small and we had 2 men over 6ft that were ducking at times.
It is a few blocks from the main streets, but an easy walk, 10-12 minutes.
It is a good value for the off season pricing..

Great location, house is represented properly in pics and online. So close to downtown and water and park. Property management very responsive. No tvs in bedrooms, only livingroom. Be cautious of very steep abs narrow staircase (that has carpet pieces placed on each step that cause more of a safety hazard than bare steps) as this is not ideal for elderly guests or those who struggle w steps. Only 1 bathroom and on level w no bedrooms, but worked fine for us. Need window coverings on kitchen window/door at night. Overall what we expected and the we will definitely consider renting again.
