The GOOD:
Nice location, close to downtown and vineyard. Grocery store, coffee shop and ice cream stand nearby. Quiet, parking lot is busy but not full, “neighbors” were friendly.
Communication with host was smooth before and during the stay. Check in and check out were very easy.
Nice layout for 2 families, both bedrooms were decent size, connected to their own closets and bathrooms. The two bedrooms are in opposite sides of the unit. Being on first floor was also easier to move stuff from the car. Both beds were comfortable as well. Plenty of supplies for kitchen and bathrooms.
The NOT SO GOOD:
Main reason I am not giving 5 starts is the billing error we experienced. It took two weeks and a lot of back and forth communications with host and VRBO customer reps to finally get the $200 refund. Explanation from host was “software error”.
One thing I would like to point out was that VRBO allows hosts to use their own billing system so VRBO doesn’t have access to billing details, except for the VRBO service fee they charge separately. When there is any dispute on billing, I feel that VRBO acts like coordinators, unable to make any determination on the situation. Although my issue is resolved in the end, this should be caution for everyone using this platform.
One minor thing is that we had to vacuum the main room floor upon arriving due to white residues on the floor.

We stayed here as a family of four on a trip around Lake Michigan as we stopped in Traverse City. It’s close to downtown but not really a walkable distance, and traffic in the city gets pretty backed up in the late afternoon. It perfectly suited our purposes but could use a little TLC. Full kitchen and washer/dryer was a real plus, as well as a bathroom for each bedroom. We were in a downstairs room and could hear traffic upstairs during the day but it was pretty quiet at night. The patio was adjacent to the parking lot, so not a lot of privacy. We swept it when we got there to make it more comfortable. All in all a good spot and value for the area.

This condo was perfect for our stay. It was very comfortable and well appointed. Great location and we enjoyed the bike/walking trail right outside the unit.

This property was only 5-10 min away from most everything and had plenty of room for our family.

Great place! Minor complaints: The sleeper sofa is uncomfortable - but there's an air bed that's good for the extra person. The microwave didn't work - maybe just a flipped switch at the breaker box?
Quiet, convenient location, easy checkout. I would gladly stay there again.

The unit we rented was very good, clean and met our needs. We did not know that the building was a pet friendly facility and someone in another unit had a dog which they left alone. While they were away, the dog barked and howled constantly.

We were on a two day fishing trip and just needed a place to sleep. The condo was well furnished, clean, and had all the various supplies provided for us. Beds were comfortable , kitchen and bathrooms were stocked.
I emailed with Riley a couple times with questions and she was always responsive and positive. 5 star experience!

This condo is in a perfect location, near downtown and within walking distance to all of the sites we wanted to see. It had plenty of room for the 3 of us and being able to cook our own breakfast was a plus. The beds were a little soft but we are just used to a firmer mattress. The only thing we would change is safety rails in the showers to avoid any falls. We will definitely consider staying here again when in Traverse-city.

Comparable hotels were almost double the price the weekend we stayed. This condo was clean, well appointed, and spacious for a family of 4 for the weekend. Communication with the manager was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay with a few exceptions. Our unit was very clean and spacious but if you plan to spend time just at the unit here are some things you may need to know. The ad does say that the tv does not have cable but you can stream using your login. That is true but I thought there would still be free local tv but there isnt. The only option for the tv is to stream. We like to watch the local news and weather in the am while sipping our coffee before we head out and this trip we couldn't. I did have issues getting the streaming option to work but I emailed for help and got an immediate response and the had no issues after that. The furniture was clean and looked nice but is not that comfortable so curling up to watch movies was challenging for the 2 of us. There is no tv in the bedroom so the living room area is the only option. There is only room for 4 people to sit upright in the living room with no lounging. There also was no alarm clock in the bedroom so be prepared for that. The building has it posted that there is to be no smoking in the building however someone was smoking Marijuana which made the hallway stink so bad. Fortunately it did not waffle into our unit. You can't always control what other people do but that stuff stinks so bad. Checking in and checking out was very easy. There is plenty of parking. The unit was close to everything and we enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at Trailside was great. Property was clean and in great shape. Riley was quick to answer any questions we had. Would recommend.

The unit was wonderful! The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was relatively quiet until 5:30AM when the very noisy pickup trucks would take to the road gunning their engines hard whenever they would accelerate away from a light. The unit is not far from the airport but plane noise occurs once each morning versus the pickup noise which occurs a lot. That’s was the only downside.

Our stay at this condo was very good. The condo was clean and the location was excellent.
The walking trail behind the building and being on the 1st floor was great since we had our dog with us.
The only negative was the upstairs neighbor was stomping on the floor and moving something around making a lot of noise. We’ve stay at other places before on the lower level and realize that that can happen in that situation, but it seemed more excessive than usual.
We would stay there again if we visit the area.

Traveled to TC for my mom’s 60th birthday. This unit was perfect. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us and the ground level entry was convenient for unloading our cars. Check in and check out was super smooth as well. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice getaway. We were only a 2 minute drive to all things we wanted to do downtown. There is a train track right next to the unit, but you could hardly hear it pass and it only passed once when we were there.

Had a nice stay at this rental. Would have liked to have had more blankets as there was only a thin one on each bed. Also, the sleeper sofa is uncomfortable and you can feel the springs in your back. The rental is in a very nice location, and overall a good rental that I would rent again.
A couple of things to know before you go: there is a Keurig coffee maker, but no Keurig pods so be sure to take or plan to buy some. Also, there is not a spatula for things that require flipping so bring a spatula along. Other than that, recommend bringing blankets as talked about previously.

The apartment was so nice and so clean! It was always to get into and there was plenty of space for the whole family! It is very well maintained and kept. We loved the open layout of the kitchen and living room! If visiting Traverse City again, we will definitely re-book this location!

Overall the property was good. Bedrooms were excellent & there were plenty of towels. There were a couple issues that were corrected regarding missing glasses, cups & utensils. The patio door vertical blinds need to be repaired. The inside of the microwave was dirty from splattered food. Condo location was good. The TART trail ran along the side of the parking lot & the Filling Station Pub & Pizza was a 10-12 minute walk.

The apartment was nice and clean. We liked using the patio. My only suggestion is to offer more areas to store food. Overall, it was great. Host was always prompt with responding to questions etc

Clean and spacious but needed a few more basic supplies like paper towel and kleenex and working soap dispensers. It was great to have the washer and dryer and a few laundry detergent sheets would have been really nice. Very clean and comfortable

We really liked the place but didn’t receive the ‘email that explains how to get into the building and internet information on a timely manner. We waited till someone else gave us a code to get into the building.and had to buy a Roku to watch what we wanted. But over all loved the place and location. And the cost was very reasonable. Very clean would stay again .

We loved that we were able to bring our pet on vacation. The place is in a great location. Very close to everything TC. Unit 117 worked out perfectly for us and our guest. We loved that it was on the first floor and we could use the patio door to load and unload the car.

I would have given everything 5 star but I had to dock a start for a couple reasons. Upstairs neighbors we loud. Either they were constantly stomping or there's no sound insulation. Some of the members staying complained the hot water could not get hot enough, though I thought it was fine.

The communication with management was great! No complaints there! I loved that they allowed our french bulldog and the unit had a kitchenette with full size fridge and washer/dryer!
There was some issues with the unit. The door was warped/bent at the top and was very hard to shut and lock. Didnt feel too secure. There was a faint cigarette smoke smell. I found a few hairs on my bed when I pulled down the linens. The beds were just okay. Bedroom #2 had weird bedding, didn't feel like a sheet!

Upon opening the door, I was greeted with the overwhelming stench of stale vape or weed smoke. I immediately contacted the manager, who assured me that it wasn't possible, as no one had stayed there in quite some time. After trying to stay one night, with the smell permeating furniture, bedding, etc., I again contacted the manager, who offered to send someone to clean the unit. I declined and requested a refund, which he refused. I ended up staying at a lovely hotel downtown. Quite a costly one-night stay.
