Great spot for a family. Lots of fun activities close by and fun forest to explore.

Great cabin for large group! Beautiful setting and nice yard. Good location near grocery and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort.

With 3 floors it was wonderful to be able to divide up our 8 adults, 2 children, and 1 toddler. Kitchen had everything we needed and then some. We loved using the fireplace and big tv was great for watching the Carolina Duke game. Close to great activities and anything else we needed. Great time.

We had a great time at the Feisty Fox. The kids enjoyed the slopes at Beech and Sugar Mountain while we enjoyed Banner Elk, Grandfather Nountsin and the area around the cabin.

We enjoyed the weekend! My son and daughter in law were married at the White Crow venue so the location was perfect proximity to the house. Thanks again!

This was a wonderful house for extended family Spring Break! The rooms were set up to fit our needs, the master bath allowed for limited mobility needs, and the back porch fireplace was perfect for smores! The kitchen allowed us to easily cook meals for 10 people. The house is within minutes of grocery shopping and the Alpine Coaster as well as within 25 minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We all decided that Banner Elk/Sugar Mountain is going to be a repeat vacation spot!

This is a great property for a large family. Extremely close to ski lodge and grocery store. We will come back next year. Mud room was perfect for taking care of ski gear.

We didn’t actually stay in this home (can’t figure out how to review the one we did stay in) because there was a snow storm and the current guests were at risk of getting snowed in. So, the company gave us different options of other homes to avoid this problem. We chose one called Elk Island, and it was incredible! It was better than pictured, and we had a lovely time. I highly recommend Blue Ridge Vacation Rentals. They were very responsive and helpful. We will book with them again!

We will definitely recommend this to anyone with families! Super convenient and comfortable. Could use more living room furniture. Overall super wonderful

We arrived an hour after check in and house was still being cleaned. That evening we realized the coffee pot was not usable, very dirty. We started calling housekeeping then, after several calls we received a new pot the following afternoon. The home is very dark, basement is cold. They provided space heaters, but it was not very comfortable. Oven was filthy, just not for us.

Best one yet!
I take my grandkids on a "Gramie and kids" vacation every summer. This year my daughters tagged along as well. Usually at the end of our vacations (even if we had a wonderful time) we are ready to get back home. Not the case this year. We could have stayed another week or two!The house was perfectly stocked , the beds, linens and towels were so comfortable, showers and tubs nice and roomy with plenty of hot water. It really felt like home away from home. We enjoyed a fire every night, Loved watching the many many fireflies preform for us! The proximity to everything was fantastic, Grocery stores we less than 10 min away. Within about a 20 min drive we were hiking on waterfall trails, ziplining, kayaking, horseback riding, gem finding, enjoying a sat farmers market,,shopping in Boone...It was a dream vacation and after every activity it felt wonderful to come back home, comfortable and cozy, We loved loved loved it!!!The house and neighborhood are perfect, secluded but not remote, wildlife visits, porches for rocking, we loved the porch fireplace, great TV's and fun games downstairs...and the hottub was the cherry on top. We brought our own extension cord and enjoyed the fun lights that are strung from tree to tree,,If there was an 11 to give we would definitely give it. Property management was professional and made the entire process smooth and seamless. We will be back and can hardly wait!!!

We had a great stay at this property. The house had a lot of room for 3 families with kids. It was clean, had all the necessities, and fit the description perfectly. We would stay here again.

We came with a large group to ski at Sugar Mountain. The house had plenty of space, kitchen was stocked, linens and basic toiletries were provided. Communication with the 3rd party company was easy! Hot tub, fire pit, and sleds added to the amazing house. A quick 5 minute drive to ski.
My only complaint is that You can hear EVERYTHING from every room directly through the walls or ceiling. If we had small children this would be a problem. Regardless we would come back and stay!

Beautiful Mountain Home
Beautiful mountain home, perfect for a group getaway. Close to good hiking, and not far from grocery store.

We booked through VRBO, but then everything else was done through a 3rd party agency that handles the property. We never communicated with the actual owners. I would have told them, the house is beautiful, but the property management copy is not worth the money you are spending. We mainly had one issue. We had family coming from all directions and we really were sure what time we would all get there. I called the property manager, and she said that we COULD NOT check in early due to the property not being cleaned yet. Now all we were asking was for 2 hours early, which we would have gladly paid for. Instead of hanging out in the parking lot of the local grocery store, we decided to drop off suitcases, coolers and wood for the fire place, so we could drive around in 2 cars instead of 4. We got to the property around 1:30 and sat out back until checkin. NO ONE CAME TO CLEAN. I had just called around 12:30 to see if we could check in at 2 so unless they cleaned the entire 3 story house in an hour, then Im going to say the manager was not honest. AND if someone did clean, they need to do a better job on kitchen items. We had to re-wash most of the dishes before dinner. So bottom line. We LOVED the house, but the property management company will keep us from ever booking there again, or going through a 3rd party ever again.

A group of guys visited for a weekend golf trip and the cabin worked very well easily accomodating six of us. We had a lot of rain and spent more time at the cabin than we planned but it worked well, cooling down at night, and having great conversation on the back deck with a fire roaring!
