About this house rental
Welcome to your next amazing family vacation! Our newly renovated home is located in Pocono Summit in a private community on Stillwater Lake. Stillwater Lake is approximately 300 acres: some parts of the lake are 4 feet, while others are 8 or more feet. Over half of Stillwater Lake is occupied by the Boy Scouts of America, at Camp Minsi. Therefore, over ½ of the Lakefront (where you will watch the sunsets) is not developed housing, but rather all-natural forests, adding to the serenity and beauty of your Poconos vacation!
EXTERIOR:
Our property is on ½ of an acre and includes the following beautifully segregated outdoor areas: sitting area of 2 benches and a table located by the brand-new dock, which is perfect for watching sunsets, as they occur in summer months directly across the lake. Next to this area is the walk-in beach, which is updated with new sand every 2 years (this is because the winter storms erode the sand and it needs to be replenished on the dirt and roots - this means that wading into the water is perfect for little feet, and big feet too, of course!). Behind the beach, we have a double swing set, tree house, slide and geometric dome. Perfect for when little kids need to get some energy out! There is also a designated hammock area, with 2 hammocks, each can accommodate up to 400 pounds: for taking family naps after a long day of playing in the water. There is also a patio and fire pit: for making s'mores and relaxing. Please note that this property has vegetation and trees scattered all around, so there are always both sunny spots and as well as shady spots, for those days when it's too hot to be in the sun. And lastly, there is also a shed next to the beach, which includes water toys (buckets, shovels, water noodles and water squirters) as well as life jackets of all sizes, fishing rods, beach lounging chairs, and kids’ chairs. Next to this storage box, you will find the following equipment for water sports: 2 kids’ kayaks, 5 stand-up paddle board (2 are pretty new), and 1 adult kayak. We also have a paddle boat for your use, as well as a dinghy boat (which fits up to 3 adults).
CHANGES TO THIS YEAR:
Please note that we had to get rid of the electric motor for the dinghy boat, as it kept breaking. The dinghy boat is still available, however, with oars. And the saucer swing had to come down, as one of the trees it was attached to, died. We have added 2 new stand-up paddle boards (for a total of 5) for your use. The dining room table has been upgraded to fit 10 comfortably. And we have purchased a new washer / dryer combo appliance, located in the upstairs bathroom. Finally, the Association has asked to move the entrance road into the community - you will be provided instructions after booking.
INTERIOR:
This house has recently been completely gutted, expanded and updated from its original A-frame and is currently 1,800 square feet. You will find in the small entryway a shoe box and coat closet (which includes ponchos and umbrellas, badminton set including net, and rackets, tennis rackets and balls), next you will enter the modern kitchen with white cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, and an island which accommodates up to 3 seats. The kitchen also includes a pantry, which will be available for your use. The living room includes 2 couches and a TV (with access to both Amazon and Netflix) a DVD / Blu Ray player, as well as several kids and adult DVDs. On the ground floor, is a large bathroom with double vanity sink, and full tub with shower. The house may accommodate only up to 10 persons: 6 adults and 4 children. There are also 2 bedrooms located on this floor: one with a queen bed as well as a child's crib, and another with a full size bed. One of the most amazing features of this house is the beautiful sunroom, as it has large panoramic windows from 3 sides. This is where you will find the dining table, with a brand new larger dining table and chairs allowing seating up to 10 persons. And on the other side of the room, you will find a couch and bookshelf, with too many board games and toys and books to list here!
Upstairs, there is a loft bedroom with 2 trundle beds, accommodating up to 4 people. The hallway bathroom includes a full-size, stacked washer and dryer, as well as another full tub and shower. And lastly, the master bedroom includes a queen bed, small desk (in case you need to check-in at the office), another TV (also with access to Amazon and Netflix), and amazing views of the lake.
COMMUNITY AMENITIES:
The community tennis courts are just a short ¼ mile (just 3 houses!) away. They include 2 courts and a pickle ball court. There is also a very large community public beach, located at the SEPOA Association building, which includes: beach access for swimming, occasionally a lifeguard on duty, several play structures for kids and a basketball court.

This is our third year staying at this property and I can't say enough good things about our stay. The house is immaculate, the communication is seamless and the location is both beautiful and private. Our five person family always has something to do. The lake is great for fishing, swimming and playing!! We love this place and will return every year they will have us. :)

The property was everything we hoped it would be from the listing. Well set up for our family of five with plenty of space to play and hang out, toys games, comfortable beds and that killer sunset view of the lake.
Host was quick to answer most questions and had lots of helpful suggestions of things to do in the area. Really we have no complaints at all. Book with confidence!

Fantastic family vacation at the lake! House was very clean and welcoming. So many games, puzzles, etc. for children ages 5 to 15. Best part by far the beautiful lake with a great dock. We fished, used the paddle boards, kayaks, and boats. Sunsets were spectacular!

Such a beautiful home in a lovely lakeside setting. It was perfect for our family to share laughter and love. We enjoyed the lake with swimming and boating, a wonderful assortment of family friendly games and even children's dress up costumes. The house was well equipped, very clean and comfortable for our family of ten. Joanna, our host, was wonderful to communicate with. We will be back!

What a wonderful stay we had at this lakefront property. There was something for everyone to do and plenty of relaxing. My husband and boys enjoyed fishing daily either off the dock or the boat. My teenager was happy to stand up paddle board everywhere. I could be found with a book in the hammock. This was also the cleanest most well equipped home we have ever rented. Joanna was a pleasure to deal with and the whole trip was amazing! We hope to stay here again.

Peaceful Lakeside Retreat
Our week was nothing short of perfect. We sat by the lake enjoying a beautiful breeze and the company of those we love. Each day, everyone had something to do - relax and read, kayak, paddle boat, paddle board, fishing, board games, etc…
Our week was perfect and the house was impeccably clean and well stocked with anything you might need…we didn’t worry at all about anything. The beds were comfortable - everyone had a cozy place to sleep.
Stillwater lake is quiet, clean and perfect for all ages. Our kids were able to kayak independently and we were able to take the little motor boat for a spin.
We’d be remiss not to mention how wonderful Joanna is to work with. She quickly replied to any questions we had and was always pleasant. THANK YOU!

Great time at the lake
This was an amazing stay. The house has so much for the kids to do! They had a great time playing dress up with all the costumes that are in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Let’s not get started on the sunroom. They had soooo many board games to choose from as well as puzzles, balls, binoculars and we had a nice gun fight with all the nurf guns they had. It was a blast!!! The outdoors was always a favorite. The kids spent all day on the slide and swings as well as the kayaks. Our last night there we had a fire going so we can roast some marshmallows and to our surprise there was a deer and her fawn right behind us. We loved every minute of it. Btw good luck to all trying to get first dibs on the hammocks. Lol so comfy.
Thank you Joanna for the easy smooth booking as well as the personalized note. You were a pleasure to deal with.

Beautiful view of Lake Stillwater
Everything about our stay was remarkable. The house faces Lake Stillwater and the views are magnificent. The house had lots of activities such as kayaks, a SUP, a electric motor boat, a playground, and a paddle boat for outside. There were lots of games to play for all ages which we really enjoyed in the evenings. We enjoyed gathering around the fire pit to toast marshmallows or sitting on the dock and watching the fish. The house was very clean and just right for our group of seven. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a nice meal. The property is close to hiking and the Camelback Coaster and other activities. Joanna made everything easy by communicating promptly and in detail, answering any question I asked. Thanks, Joanna, for making sure we had a great time and sharing your wonderful home!
