The house was conveniently located in a beautiful neighborhood near restaurants, grocery stores, and downtown Asheville. Howard was a very helpful host, and the overall experience could not have been more perfect. Stayed July 2023

This was my second month-long stay in the richly historic Montford neighborhood of Asheville. The house was just perfect for me and for my two guests who came separately. Be aware that the daybed room is upstairs as are the two bedrooms. The house was impeccable with every amenity and within walking distance of both downtown and neighborhood stores and restaurants. The front porch and back patio were lovely spots for relaxation. The host was perfectly attentive without being intrusive - a dear man. This getaway was made especially peaceful and memorable due to the excellence of the home itself.

This is a wonderful, clean, comfortable and well outfitted house in a great location. Montford is a historic neighborhood with beautiful Victorian houses. You can walk to the heart of downtown in 20 minutes, or in ~7 minutes to a nice coffee shop. The owner has thought of everything and was very responsive to our requests and questions.. The kitchen equipment is well stocked (we cooked Thanksgiving dinner there). There is a nice gas fireplace that we really enjoyed on cold evenings, and there are black-out blinds in the main bedroom. The porch out front is a comfortable place to sit on a nice day, and the upstairs sunroom gives extra space as a bright sitting room indoors. The layout worked great for us (an adult couple with occasional guests.) We could have one person sleeping upstairs with the other on a zoom call in the kitchen, both undisturbed. Overall this is just a great place to stay for a visit to Asheville and was convenient to everything we wanted to do.

Perfect in every way!
This historic house and property had everything I wanted for a month long stay in Asheville - lovely antique furnishings and art, comfy bed and linens, good quality cookware and pretty dishes, a front porch with seating, private and enclosed backyard, off street parking, and charm in every detail. The property was very clean and well-equipped. Everything worked. The owner was helpful from booking to checkout. The location is a 10 minute walk to downtown for shopping and restaurants. The local neighborhood is great for walks, with lots of interesting houses and yards, people walking their dogs, etc. It was quiet and felt safe.

Fantastic house in Historic Montford
We stayed here for a month this summer and had a fabulous stay. The house is very nice, with plenty of room for a couple or family, well appointed kitchen and excellent location. Howard was very good and proactive with communications.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great location. House amazing. Host exceptional
Great location in historic Montford. Easy access to everything. Downtown sites are an easy 15-20 minute walk. Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Harris Teeters a mile away. Easy access to the greenway for daily strolls. Local restaurants good as an option to the many restaurants, bars, and breweries downtown.
Safe neighborhood. Free off street and on street parking. House has tons of character. Fully stocked with all needed kitchen ware. It has an outdoor gas grill on a quaint back patio for nights when cooking at home.
Relax on the front porch for an enjoyable evening while you talk about your day hiking, fishing, tubing, or touring. Biltmore Estates and Grove Park Inn close by.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at 88 Elizabeth and plan on renting it again on my next trip to Asheville.
