About this house rental
Entire house. Newly constructed green built home near French Broad River, River Arts District and Downtown Asheville . Cozy up and make yourself at home in this spacious, creative home with a fire pit indoors and outdoors, hammocks and a greenhouse.
Just minutes away from everything in Asheville - a quick 5 min drive to downtown Asheville via Riverside Drive, or a short 3 minute walk down to Riverside Park, this is the perfect place to get away to be near downtown and also have safety, peace and privacy.
This home was green built in 2019. It’s roughly 1700 ft.² 2 bedroom 1 1/2 baths. Beautiful side yard that’s fenced in with lots of privacy, a front deck and a top master bedroom balcony deck.
It’s sits high up on the hill, so you feel like you’re up in the trees with the birdies.
So, if you love birds like me, you will be in heaven with the singing chorus that will awaken you each day.
Another special perk of this property is that there is a beautiful and private fenced in side yard with hammocks to lounge in, a chiminea fireplace and a patio dining area with umbrella. Enjoy the gas grill for evening cookouts in the private fenced backyard.

Very clean and cozy! Hosts make you feel at home and have notes to show that. Thank you!!!

Excellent whole house for a couple looking to relax but also have access to downtown. Very pretty area and everything was advertised. I agree with previous reviews the driveway is a little tricky to get in and out of especially at night but a very minor inconvenience.

The house has everything one needs, especially for a long stay. The LR is so inviting that you'll want to spend most of your time there. Both bathrooms are very nice also. The master bedroom is spectacular in its spaciousness and view from the upper deck. The kitchen is well stocked with any food prep needs. It was nice to have the washer and dryer, which we used once. There were very few negatives, but I'll include them just for the sake of helping others in their decision to stay. The dining area is extremely small & only has table seating for two. Would only be a problem for a family stay. The driveway is narrow and overgrown with weeds on either side. It took us about three tries every day to back out at the right angle, and you can't see if a car might be coming from either direction. The front porch and steps were covered with acorns when we arrived. Tricky getting up the steps without slipping on them. Thank you for keeping a broom on the porch! We chose this place b/c of its closeness to the Arts District, which was great. Be forewarned that nothing is walking distance from the house though, which I was expecting. It's a 10 minute drive through an industrial area to the start of the RAD. All in all a great stay at a nice property.

This house had two of the amenities we really look for in a rental…comfortable beds and couch! Delivered on both.
Close to Asheville. Easy Ubers.
Things to note…back yard is as pictured just not as cozy as we’d wanted…really close to neighbors…claustrophobic…a little overgrown and “weedy”. If you’re looking for cold AC, it’s cold everywhere but where you need it most…the master. The ac units are also finicky…mini splits with individual remotes…you can set a temp but can’t really tell if it’s hit the mark…plenty of fans to compensate, but we like to sleep cold and couldn’t with this system.
Kitchen is clean but pretty light on supplies. Expect to make do with what’s there and wash often. Water tastes great out of the fridge and ice maker works!
One last thing…the Cardinals attack the windows all day long starting around 7:30. Bedroom in the am and then all over throughout the day. It’s cute after you realize what it is, but the first time gave us quite the start.
All in all we’d stay here again.

Clean home with well-stocked cabinets, Wi-Fi, and laundry that’s close to the heart of Asheville action while being tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Easy reservation and check-out.

I was looking for a non-generic space to spend a few days on a "mental health" break from work and life, hoping for somewhere comfortable and inviting, and not just a landing pad for excursions - a place I'd actually want to spend time in. I found it in Jillian's home. A friend and I spent several days there and highly enjoyed sunshine and wine on her deck during the afternoons, and a fire in the hearth during the evenings. Jillian even went out of her way to bring us extra firewood on the first evening. The home is in a peaceful location and also close to town, a stone's throw from the French Broad River. A very inviting space, and one I'd readily recommend and revisit.

Enjoyed a weekend getaway with husband and dog. Property is very close to riverfront / coffee and River Arts District, which was fun to explore.

This house was large and cozy with plenty of room for my wife and me and our little dog. Much more comfortably and warmly furnished than many VRBOs we looked at. Beds were large and comfy and kitchen was functional. Our only small dings on the property are that we did wish it had a larger kitchen table and it is a little remote…. But that may be what your looking for and literally nothing in Asheville is mort than 10 or 15 minutes away. We had guests visit so the guest room was well used and we also setup a folding table in there which I used to home-office while we stayed. Plenty of room. We stayed three weeks and would have stayed more!

My husband and I and our two miniature poodle dogs stayed for 12 days. It was a pleasure, everybody was very happy there. House is well-decorated, we cannot say enough about Jillian's "What to Do" book, and her responsiveness and hospitality is outstanding. Everything was thoroughly thought-thru to make our stay pleasant and memorable. Highly recommended!

Restful house in quiet mountain neighborhood. Incredibly comfy beds with great quality sheets and towels. Upper deck off primary bedroom a delight. Fenced in yard great for pups. Dining space a bit limited considering house well-suited for 2 couples or small family—sits 2 at best. But don’t let that stop you from staying in this super comfy abode. Thanks for all the tea options and super attentive answers to our questions!

This was our first VRBO experience and we really enjoyed this home. The Host was excellent to communicate with and home was inviting, relaxing, very clean and the location was great. There is a small enclosed backyard that was perfect for our small fur babies and a walking trail/ park 2-3 minutes down the road. It is out of the city a short distance but only 5 minutes from downtown Asheville. We plan on returning for another stay in the near future. You will not be disappointed in renting this VRBO home.

LOVED THIS HOUSE!!
This was such a nice, eclectic Asheville home! It was close to all the action, but hidden away all at the same time. We thoroughly enjoyed the top deck & hanging out with each other. To me, when I stay at a "Virbo" or "Air B&B" type place, one of the MOST important things is comfortable beds. These beds DELIVERED!! So thankful for great nights sleep on vacay!

Perfect Asheville getaway
We had a great experience staying at this beautiful home just outside of Asheville with our small dog. The location was perfect. Easy to get to downtown Asheville, the River Arts District and great local restaurants as well as exploring surrounding areas. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable including kitchen/pantry supplies, bath supplies, etc. The owner has thoughtfully decorated with lots of personal touches.
Communication with the owner was easy and very prompt. Check in was easy.
We will definitely look for this property again when we return to Asheville.

The perfect getaway!
This property felt like staying at a close friend's house with all of the comforts of home, such a special place and very clean! The decor is beautiful from the wood burning fireplace to the luxurious king sized bed & beautiful painted tiles lining the walls, and deep bathtub complete with jets! We had an amazing stay and the hosts were very helpful with questions we had. It is a quiet, serene neighborhood set on a river apart from downtown Asheville, but only took us 10 min to get to the downtown!

Great house on a hill!Full kitchen for as long as you could ever need, bedrooms (and closets) were large enough to stay indefinitely, bathrooms and washer / dryer were close-to-new and as good as can be expected, good yard for our dog to run up and down a small hill, cute greenhouse for seasonal produce, and two hammocks for lounging. The best part about this property was the front porch (so good, in fact, that we didn't use the living room at all) - all four of us (plus dog) spent Ashville's beautiful summer afternoons and evenings reading and talking the front porch. Property is far enough away from the main road to be rather quiet (even during purported rush hour) that dinner outdoors is wonderful, too.Wireless internet is fast enough that the one of us who had to work and use video-conferencing was able to do so without issue.Hosts were very accommodating and even with a mix-up in our own travel plans, helped us get through and enjoy our stay. Would certainly come back.
