It was comfortable and well located. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was reasonably priced and had a good menu. Old and very quirky with a waterwheel in reception.

Could hear normal level conversations from room next door walls not very well insulated

Having the separate sitting room from the bedroom was great. Also, the staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful.
The bar prices were expensive. The corridors could do with being modernised to match the rooms, common areas and exterior of the hotel which are excellent.
3.4
Public area of hotel lovely, clean and welcoming.
Room was dates, dirty, mould in bathroom, bathroom vanity damaged, carpet needs replacing, dirt on walls.
3.4
Room was cosy and the food in the restaurant was lovely. Staff were also great especially on reception and in the restaurant.

The hotel was very good. Location was great and the room was very good - clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and polite.
One big disappointment was there there were very few channels to watch on the TV. There were (for example) only about three or four Freeview channels available to watch. It was a bit like going back to the dark ages, and in this day and age this was very poor. I cannot remember when I last stayed in a hotel where they didn't have the full range of Freeview channels available to watch. The hotel should improve this...

It is a beautiful old building & the rooms were nice. very helpful staff assisted taking our very large & heavy suitcases up stairs to the 2nd floor which was much appreciated

Shower in room 30 low power. Too warm with no air con or fan.

Great staff and service. Atmosphere and location.
Showers pathetic, rooms a little tired.

Hotel was very central for everything in Perth, staff were great lovely and friendly and helpful, room was quiet with lovely view đ it had a relaxing atmosphere and lovely bar.
There was nothing to dislike really.... a lift would be great as there are lots of stairs but that's just a personal preference!

Staff were lovely and friendly
Bed was comfortable
Parking good and included in price
Furniture in room looked a bit tired.
3.4
Location was as I expected. Reception area was lovely creating a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were nice.
The rooms were outdated. The beds were hard and room was cramped with old fashioned wardrobe. Grout in bathroom was mucky and it was a low shower over the bath making it difficult to use.

Lovely hotel right in the centre. Loved the old style. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The 2 single beds pushed together were a bit uncomfortable but not too bad.
3.4
Staff were great. Breakfast very good. Converted mill so quirky and interesting features.
Room clean and very comfortable king size bed.
Room (25) itself very tired. Cracked sink. Plug not sealing in sink so couldn't maintain a water level in the sink. Badly damaged furniture (leather seat very rough looking, table top split and peeling, towel hook in bathroom hanging by just one screw)
Hotel lost gas supply at 7pm so no hot water or heating until about midnight (appreciate these events can happen). Obtained extra quilt and blanket with no problem. Although staff updated us when we asked, no apology in the morning when checking out.

friendly staff nice location
water flowing threw the reception and bar was lovely

spotlessly clean, extremely friendly staff, with a very comfortable bed so made for a good nightâs sleep with a good choice at breakfast. the building is also lovely with lots of original details.
the building itself is dilapidated, in need a cosmetic refurbishment of the fixtures and fittings, most of which in the public areas looked to be from the mid 80s. the room was furnished with shabby old fashioned furniture (bed excluded) that had seen better days.
3.4
central
parking
draughty single glazing
no water in bath taps
tv marked screen
could do with refurb

Chose not to have breakfast and stayed room only . Location is brilliant for central Perth and hotel had free parking . We even got to book in a little early as the room was ready . Staff who ended up covering reception (from the kitchen) super friendly . It was cheap and cheerful so if your ok with shabby itâs clean and warm up
Receptionist took unwell ( these things happen) but meant customer service was a bit disjointed . The rooms are pretty tired with worn chairs , broken tiles , drawers that were a struggle to close . Also A LOT of noise from a tv in a near by room

The room was spartan, but clean and comfortable. We booked last minute when our train left us stranded in Perth. Staff helped us quickly and cheerfully.

We have been at this hotel numerous times, due to where it is located.
The room was OK, the bath needed a good clean with bleach as it was dirty. The shower was luke warm even at the hottest.
The breakfast was also just warm, I don't think we will return. Its a pity as we love the location.
