About this chalet rental

Gray's Chalet Village offers a convenient location and a cozy atmosphere. This recently remodeled 1960's chalet is the perfect beach getaway! Walk to the beach on beautiful sunny days and enjoy watching the deer graze in the grass right outside your window!

We won't be available on-site but we check our messages frequently and will be available to communicate during your stay if any issues arise or if you have questions.

Gray's Chalet Village is in the heart of Ocean Shores, surrounded by other lodging businesses, and is within walking distance to the beach, shopping (including a supermarket if you need to stock your fridge), bike rentals, and restaurants. Additionally, it is just a one-minute drive from the main beach access point.

During your stay, if you listen closely you'll be able to hear the waves inside from the chalet.

Enjoy the wildlife! There's a high deer population in Ocean Shores and you're likely to experience several sightings during your stay... sometimes even right outside your window!

This unit is part of a 1960's chalet-style duplex. Guests have a private entrance and full private use of their chalet. Unit access is provided via digital key code, so you can directly access it upon your check-in time.

Guests receive one parking space directly next to the entrance to their unit.

Expecting visitors?
Additional visitor parking is located on the south side of the property (near the Grey Gull). Please ensure that your visitors do not park in spaces designated for neighboring units.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT
Please be aware that the main sleeping area is on the 2nd level.

This chalet sleeps up to 4 individuals and is part of a vacation rental duplex in a chalet-style building. The chalet includes 1 queen bed in an open-concept loft at the top of the stairs. Additionally, the couch on the first floor is a sofa queen bed.

FIREPLACE NOTE
The fireplace is not functioning, but we have electric candles (with a remote) that provide a nice ambiance.

KITCHEN
The Chalet includes a full-size range, dinnerware, pots and pans, microwave, and full-size refrigerator + freezer. Guests are required to wash all dishes they use, as there is not a dishwasher.

DUPLEX
Please note that these are duplexes, so the walls are shared with one other guest.

PUBLIC TRANSIT
Grays Harbor Transit serves the Ocean Shores community. For information on routes and pick-up, times visit the Grays Harbor Transit website.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Our check-in time is at 3:00 PM, and our check-out is at 11:00 AM. We have strict cleaning protocols for our cleaning crew and cannot be flexible with early check-in or late check-outs.

NO PARTIES
We asks that guests do not have parties and keep noise levels to a minimum out of consideration for the neighbors. We strive to provide a peaceful getaway near the beach. Quiet hours after 10 pm.

FIRES
We currently do not allow bonfires on the property.

SAND
We also suggest removing shoes at the door after a visit to the beach to avoid excessive sand in the chalet.

ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING
Electric car charging on the property is not permissible as it could provide a safety hazard. The electrical systems are not set up for car charging. The closest EV car charging 3.9 miles away at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino.

DAMAGE
Any damage caused during your stay will be charged to you. Smoking of any kind (including vaping) is not allowed inside the chalets. A $250 fee will be applied if a guest smokes indoors.

This is a quaint chalet that is on the main drag in Ocean Shores. The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes—ability to walk to small shops in Ocean Shores. Bring mosquito repellant to walk to the beach during twilight hours.

We enjoyed our weekend and first trip to Ocean Shores. On the map it looks like this is an oceanfront property but it is not and that was disappointing. A couple of extra space heaters will also help in the winter months

The cottage provided everything that was needed for a pleasurable stay. My dogs were happy! My friend felt like your cottage was the perfect thank-you-gift for dog-sitting my 'friends'. 😊. Loved the bed! Slept so well! The ocean hummed lovely songs during my stay. I am grateful.

Very clean, cute, even had some dog items for my pup and some snacks for adults! Everything was cozy! Only thing that can be tough is not being able to leave your dog alone if its safe (as we went to Quinalt for dinner/casino). Very close to beach, a nice short walk! Great amenities to clean your dog up after the beach as well :)

We found the property to be cute and cozy. But it had not been properly cleaned/prepped prior to our arrival. HOUSEKEEPING: large cobwebs hanging above the bed and from the bedside lamps. Heavy dust coating in the bedside fan. NO body wash in the shower body wash container. Ran out of shampoo after only one shower (we were there two nights). The TV remote control did not work (We went to the store and bought batteries to replace dead ones). Big brown stain in center of bed pillow (to be fair, it did seem like the pillowcase had been washed, but such an obvious stain isn’t something you want to see on your vacation on your pillow). I took photos of all of these things in case management wants to have them to let their housekeeping know. Besides those unattractive qualities, we found the layout and the overall setup to be very comfy, and we had a good time overall.

The Chalet was affordable and it was the perfect size for my partner and I and we had plenty of room. We had all the basics we needed and the property was located close to a lot of local hot spots.

This place is so dog friendly, thoughtful and welcoming. We found snacks for us in the kitchen, and even dog treats, blankets and toys for our puppy. It was such a nice surprise! We really enjoyed our stay over Christmas weekend. Beach access was great as well. Truly enjoyed how clean, minimal and comfy it was. Thanks again!

Lovely updated chalet with very close proximity to the beach. I enjoyed this stay with my pup and we were able to enjoy all Pacific Beach has to offer. Short trail walk to a glorious beach where we could walk, explore and throw the ball. The chalet had all that you would need for a short stay to be comfortable. The dog toys and treats were a lovely surprise. The only feedback I would give is that some sort of blind should be installed in the top chalet windows as the street lights shine directly on the loft sleeping area. Only an issue for the chalets that face the road. Something to consider adding. We were also able to see deer on the property grazing nearby, a true gem if you want to visit Ocean Shores. Would book again next time we visit the coast. Thank you!

The location was great and easily walkable to the beach. We loved that dogs are welcome at the cabins. A few minor issues included the strong smell when you walk in (wet dog and tons of bleach) and the lack of windows to open. There is no screen on the upstairs door and it was a blistering 79 degrees upstairs when we checked in. Lots of bugs buzzing around outside so leaving the door open was a concern. The single window in the living room is the only one with a screen that provides air flow.

We enjoyed our stay in #4. I dropped one star because the big windows do not have curtains and the business lot across the street has very bright lights. If you stay here be sure to bring your sleep mask!

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary, and we had a wonderful time! The chalet provided for all our comforts and needs and was within walking distance of everything! No road noise. Only downside was sunshine streaming in through the loft windows prevented sleeping in. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a great time staying here for a weekend at the ocean. The bed was very comfortable and the place was clean. They even supplied a few snacks and water bottles—and a dog toy and bowls for our dogs! There was even a fan provided, which was necessary for our stay during almost 90 degree weather!

My friends and I stayed the chalet over Easter weekend. The space is very cute, warm, and the perfect size for the 4 of us. The kitchen let us cook a few delicious meals and the location is very central in Ocean Shores. You can easily walk to the beach or into town from the chalet. The bathroom is really spacious for the size of the chalet and all the furniture was comfortable.

The property was clean and well appointed. However it was not suitable for my wife and I, both seniors... stairs to loft bedroom with queen bed..bathroom downstairs off kitchen...that did not work for us. DId not see a direct beach access and although "pet friendly" it was worrisome to us that the front door was too close to the main street.. OK for younger couple.. not seniors.

There was nothing more I could have asked for considering the reasonable price. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and couch and a blanket, toys and dishes for the dogs. Dishes and cookware available for use with a few snacks provided. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

I appreciate how clean and modern the place was! We brought our 2 small dog sand were welcomed wit a baseket of toys, treats, food bowls just for them. The place was very clean and the bed was comfy!!! Whomever owns this had great taste! I'm glad also for a place with dogs that it didn't smell like some places do! We will definately be returning

Had a quick 1 night getaway to the beach with our Golden Retriever. Lots of extras included for our pooch and snacks for us. Kitchen is equipped with the basics but bring your own spices. Worth the price, walking distance to the beach, pleasant stay overall. Thank you for having us!
