This property did not disappoint! My group (4 adults and one teen) had plenty of space from sleeping quarters to just spreading out around the house and property. The house was clean, kitchen well appointed. The living room TV has cable and a fire stick, main bedroom has a TV with a fire stick. Plenty of seating in the living room (there's an extra comfy chair not in the pictures). Window AC units in each down stairs BR and two in the upstairs loft kept the house nice and cool. It was steamy and hot this past week so we were grateful to sleep comfortably in AC! Don't forget your linens, towels and blankets! We loved the back porch which, despite the heat, was comfortable and breezy. And the view is priceless. It's a gentle sloping walk to the water except for the last 10 feet which is on a more steep slope. The dock was great for fishing and swimming and is plenty deep if you have a boat. The peddle boat was fun to take out for adventures on the lake. We brought some inflatables/stand up paddle board and just tied off to the dock. Plenty of space on the "beach" and so easy to walk right into the lake. We brought beach chairs so we could sit with our feet in the water. Boat traffic is far out so very safe to swim. The house was in a quiet and safe area and Mark's neighbors were lovely. Mark answered all of my questions and was easy to reach any time. We loved our time here and would defintely love to return. This really is a gem on the GSL!

This cabin-like house is lovely and the location is beautiful. It is spacious enough to easily accommodate our family of eight. The owner is responsive to queries. Be forewarned, though, that renters are required to provide their own sheets, bath towels, and kitchen towels (which was not mentioned in the listing).

This location is amazing. It is on the less windy side of the lake with a private feeling back yard. We had a great time on the water with our 21ft motor boat (that we docked on-site), our kayaks, our mini-sailboat and their paddle boat. The side of the lake we are on is much less windy/wavey than the other side which is nice for swimming off the dock. We kayaked to the other side of the lake near us which was fun. We also did lots of water tubing and some water skiing/knee boarding. The wind made it a bit choppy some days for knee boarding and skiing, but it was still great. We took our boat to Sandy Island (water shoes recommended due to glass in the water). We loved having the fire pit by the water and the firewood provided. It was a great place to relax and it wasn't very buggy. We also biked to town (a bit hilly for the young kids) and jogged/biked a ~4-5 mile loop by the house that was barely traveled. The house itself is comfortable and has a cabin/cottage feel. There is no AC so it can get hot. The 3 season porch has amazing views and we loved sitting out there with the windows wide open and the fans on. The main house has 1.5 bathrooms. The second floor is open concept and the "two" bedrooms are partially separated by the half bath but otherwise open to one another and also this floor has a half wall that overlooks the first so no noise or light isolation for these bedrooms from the main floor common space (and females shouldn't change near the wall). There are portable screens provided so that some privacy can be set up. On the first floor is a queen bedroom (with a door) and a bunk room with a door. The kitchen had everything we needed although we brought paper/plastic ware since there is no dishwasher and we didn't want to spend too much time washing dishes. The house was comfortable (beds, couches, etc). One thing that was a small dissatisfier is that a few of the key doors in.the house don't really open/close easily and so there were times when our 7,8,9 or 10 year olds struggled to open or close doors (the main door to the kitchen from outside, the first floor full bathroom and the door that opens to the 3 season porch) and the bathroom door in particular requires almost a slam to work given hardware placement so this is loud when people are sleeping. We would definitely return to this house given the amazing outdoors and comfortable home. The owner was great to work with and very responsive.

Gorgeous location with lots of beds
Gorgeous location with lots of beds
The location in on the lake is beautiful, just south of the bridge and with a spectacular view of the Adirondack. The house has lots of beds, and enough room to Aires’s out between the living room and enclosed porch. There are two nice spots to have a fire and relax. The dock was great for our 18 foot sport boat. Groceries are only 10 minutes down the road. The closest launch is across the bridge at Captain Nautis. You cannot launch at the marina. Also, remember to bring your linens. Great place , we would go back.

Our family has rented a cottage for over 50 years in Canada and since we couldn’t go there because of Covid again this year we rented this beautiful place not knowing what to expect. Upon arrival we noticed how clean everything was and how every room had fans and flashlights along with pillows and blankets. The front porch was so wonderful to be able to all sit and eat at the huge table and have such a great view of the lake. The kitchen is stocked with very nice pots and pans, dishes and anything you could possibly need. There is a very nice aluminum dock with bumpers that we kept our boat at. There’s beautiful outdoor chairs around both of the fire pits and under the overhang there’s a new hammock, which is very nice if you have any bad weather to be able to still sit outside. A lot of thought and work has gone into making this a perfect vacation spot for families of all ages to enjoy!!!
