About this house rental
This home has been a treasure of our family's for more than 20 years, and we look forward to having others create memories here as well! Our home is perfect for a family reunion or a few families vacationing together.
Located toward the back of a quiet cove just steps from the lake! The house has two oversized master bedrooms, an open floorplan on the main level, and sunrise views from every room. All of the bedrooms have access to a deck - perfect for morning coffee, reading a book, or taking in the sights and sounds the lake has to offer. There is also a screened in patio and deck off of the main level with shade in the evening to enjoy an outdoor dinner overlooking the lake. Work from home? This house is perfect for a week away with the family – let the kids enjoy the lake during the day while you make yourself at home in the huge office with a built-in desk overlooking the dock and lake. Even work can’t stress you out with that view of the lake!
Grab your swimsuit and enjoy some time relaxing on the dock, cooling off in the lake, or enjoying the hot tub at night under the stars! The dock has a large swim platform and a locker with floatation devices you are welcome to use. Deep, calm water surrounds the dock – it is a perfect place to fish, sun bathe, swim, float, or enjoy a cold drink at the shaded bar. The only thing you need to bring is a full cooler!
A 10'x24' boat slip is also available if you would like to bring a boat or tie up a rental during your stay. The location is perfect for watersports on the quiet side of the lake, going to the bars and restaurants, or exploring other attractions the lake has to offer like Ha Ha Tonka.
There are countless other attractions in the area - check out golf courses that will fit anyone's experience level or Bennett Springs for trout fishing. There are truly things to do and enjoy year-round!

Laundry room with washer and dryer and utility sink. Bedroom #3 with a queen bed, walk in closet, and access to deck and office with built in desk and 2 stacked twin beds. Bedroom #4 has a trundle bed (2 twin beds) with a closet. Bedroom #5 has a queen bed with a closet. All rooms are serviced by two full bathrooms – one with a walk in shower and the other with a tub/shower combination.
Lower level:
The lower level is an open concept with a large kitchen that has an island and bar with 3 chairs. The kitchen table seats 7 and the card table off the kitchen seats 6. The kitchen accesses the large deck overlooking the lake. The living room/ den is open to the kitchen and has a large TV with cable and a DVD player. The screened in porch is accessed through the living room or off the deck. The hot tub is just outside the screened in porch and also overlooks the lake. There is also a full bath on the lower level.
The final bed is a self inflating queen air mattress that plugs into the wall. It can be used in any of the bedrooms or in the living room as needed. There is bedding provided for the air mattress.

- This house sits in a quiet cove and is ideal for families. The neighbors are great - please be respectful of them. We do not allow bachelor or bachelorette parties for this reason.
- The hot tub will not be available during the summer (June 1- September 5) unless opened per owner discretion. We have a great cove for swimming and the hot tub is difficult to maintain when guests swim in the lake and then get in the hot tub. Fortunately, Missouri summers are typically very hot, so the lake water is more appealing :) Thank you for your understanding.

We've been traveling to the Lake of the Ozarks for vacation all of our lives (usually multiple times per year). This was our 'big stay' where the whole family came together and it worked out great for us. Plenty of room, and lots of beds and it was clean and well-maintained.
We're pretty familiar with the lake and we like this location since it's close to some restaurants but not as busy as it is up the lake a bit. I would definitely recommend this for a family vacation!

We had an excellent family vacation (all 13 of us). The house was perfect. The dock was huge! Very little steps to get to the lake. The kitchen was big enough for us to make large family meals. Plenty of beds/bathrooms/showers. The living space was large and screened-in porches were heavily used. I would highly recommend it. We also caught plenty of fish!

Our stay was great!! The bedrooms were perfect with great views for my grown children with families. They used the walk-in closets for the infants and the extra bed for the toddlers. Not many steps to and from the lake! Lots of living areas to spread out in. Loved the extra refrigerator and all the extras in the complete kitchen!! We've never stayed at a place that provided so many towels! We brought our own, but you wouldn't need too. Truly felt like home instead of just a rental!

Very impressed with this booking and stay. Ben was amazing at answering all my questions, the check-in process was easy breezy and the home was perfect! We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with our children and their spouses and the home offered plenty of private bedrooms, bathrooms, porch areas and open spaces. Between the location, amenities, location and Ben I would HIGHLY recommend the "Jewel on the lake" :-)

Great house and dock for a large group. Both house and dock are well maintained and VERY clean. Not even con webs on the dock!!! Very good cove for floating and hanging out. Dock comes with one available slip but if you have 2 boats with your group there is room to tie one up on the side of the dock. House is close to the water and dock so no huge climb back and forth. I would stay here again.

Our stay was great, the location was wonderful, quiet and peaceful. The amenities were great! We had plenty of room for our large family and their guests. We loved being able to fish off the dock and enjoyed renting a boat to use as well. Definitely would stay again!

This place was amazing!! There were 16 of us and it held us all very comfortably! The kitchen was huge and very well equipped with everything we needed (including small appliances) . The hot tub needs some attention but that was the only part of our 7 day stay that wasn’t amazing. Thank you Ben and family for sharing this beautiful place with us.

Ben and his family are fantastic!! We got to the area a couple hours early and they were accommodating with getting us access to the home. The house is beautiful, it is extremely clean and well maintained, and there was plenty of space for our group of 13! The dock is spacious and allows for easy access to the lake for swimming, fishing, and other water activities! We would love to stay at this house again in the future, highly recommend!

This is a wonderful house, five comfortable bedrooms right on the lake. We enjoyed the hot tub and dock as well, the hot tub will comfortably fit four adults. The house had a high chair and a few other things helpful with the younger members of our group. We loved it!

Hold process went smoothly. Some family members complained about lack of TV in bedrooms. There was also leftover food in refrigerator. Overall great place and would recommend to others.

My family, my parents, and my brothers family stayed and we loved the house and location. Beautiful setting. Well stocked kitchen and house. The hot tub needs some maintenance but otherwise we have no complaints. You won’t regret your stay!

For starters, we arrived to the property about 15 minutes before check-in time, expecting to check out the dock and the lake while we waited for our 4pm check-in time; instead, we were greeted by Ben (one of the owners) who immediately started apologizing because they were there and just finishing cleaning. Now get this.....their regular cleaning person had a last minute Covid-related emergency and could not come clean the place for our arrival. Instead of the owners canceling on us and/or delaying our check-in (yes, this DOES happen), Ben and his wife flew in from out of town and his parents drove from Salt Lake City to get the place cleaned and prepared for us.....who does that!?!?! Not to mention the house and grounds were immaculate! I had the opportunity to meet all of them and they are the most lovely family!
Next up - THE PICTURES DO NOT DO THIS RENTAL JUSTICE! Honestly, I'd say it is easily the nicest home on the cove (which, by the way, staying on a cove in LOA is the only way I'd go now that I've been there). Each room is light, airy, comfortable and nicely appointed. There were 3 families, with a total of 13 of us staying there and we had so much space. The kitchen is massive! At one point I think all 13 of us were in there eating, cooking and baking and we weren't right on top of each other!
The dock is like a rental of its own! It is so large and spacious. We spent a ton of time just hanging out fishing, swimming (nice warm, deep water for diving off the dock), having some beverages and floating around. Over the course of the week I did not hear one child utter "I'm bored" once! That's unheard of!
Communication with the owners (Ben) was phenomenal. At one point we were looking for a hose to use so I messaged Ben. He apologized profusely that we did not have access to one and had one shipped to us from Amazon within a couple of days. These guys know customer service!
This was our first trip to LOA and we're already talking about going back; when we do, The Family Jewel will be where we'll be staying! I could go on and on about this place, but you really just need to experience it for yourself. This rental/family may be new to the VRBO scene, but they are doing everything right! Do yourself a favor and book your stay at The Family Jewel!!

This is one of the best getaways we've ever had and I cannot say enough about the property, the property manager, and the location. The house was so big and so amazing that people were wowed every time they showed up. Plenty of space for everyone, great neighbors (we had a few drinks together), and access to water that was clean and quiet. If you're going to the lake...book this place ASAP!

This property was perfectly located for all of our needs during our stay. All communication with the owners was informational and detailed. We will defiantly be returning.
