I am so happy to have found this lovely home. Beautifully renovated and decorated, we were comfortable here and enjoyed the front porch every chance we got. Sean and Trish are the owners and are very nice and accommodating. We had a great time in the quaint town of Hannibal and learned so much about the history of it. We also drove to Marceline to the Walt Disney Boyhood home and museum about 1 1/2 hour easy drive away. I highly recommend those looking for a relaxing vacation to visit these two towns of our beautiful country. I also recommend Sean and Trish’s beautiful home for your stay. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

The unit was super clean and the hosts, who live next door, were very friendly and very helpful! Had a great time in Hannibal, in large part because of this VRBO!
Thanks!

My daughter, her two boys, and I had a lovely weekend. Trish and Sean met us when we arrived. The house is bright, modernized, and our hosts thought of literally everything we could need in a home away from home. Highly recommend.

This house was a beautiful find. Modern farmhouse space with PLENTY of room for the four of us. Beautiful kitchen where we spent most of our time catching up, eating and planning our time there. Huge perk of 3 bathrooms, nice sized living room, 3 queen beds, front and back porch. All amenities you would need. Hosts were extremely attentive. Very enjoyable stay!

We were very pleased with our stay at this property. We visited Hannibal for a family reunion and stayed a week. We did a lot of cooking and they had everything we needed. The house is well stocked the attention to detail is amazing. We will definitely consider this location for upcoming visits.

We were so lucky to be able to stay at this completely renovated home that is beautifully decorated! The master bedroom is very spacious with its own master bath, 2 closets and a sitting area. Living room is perfect for watching movies and playing board games which we kept wanting to do but the front porch kept calling us to go sit outside to listen to the birds singing in the morning and in the evening listen to the silence, talk about what we did that day and plan for the next day. Full size kitchen and everything you need to make dinners or snacks and is connected to the laundry room, full size bathroom and a small room that has a table and more seating. Upstairs is a kitchenette with its own entrance if you want to close the door at the stairs and stay separate from the downstairs. The bedroom has 2 full/ queen beds and in the landing area has a sitting couch that is also a twin size bed and the cutest little bathroom with a shower.
Trish and her husband are so nice and are great at communicating. I can't explain how much we felt at home here and can't wait to come visit again. Downtown Hannibal is less than 5min away, lovers leap less than 4min away and Mark Twain Cave is about 5min away so you're close to so many different activities.
Thank you again Trish!

We have stayed at quite a few vacation rentals across the country and this one is top notch! Our 3 night stay at this house was very comfortable and fully stocked with anything we could of needed including the kitchen. We all slept well on the comfortable beds. The neighborhood was quiet and very close to downtown. This house is unique in that the upstairs has a fully stocked kitchen (no stove but toaster oven and portable burner) and we could make our own coffee in the morning until our friends downstairs were up. Yes, the ceiling upstairs is angled in areas but easy to maneuver around when necessary. Plenty of parking in the front of the house and as well in the back. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating to anything we may have needed. This is definitely a place to stay at while in Hannibal taking in all the history or wanting to catch up with friends and family.

The home was lovely, exactly as described. We had four adults and two kids and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house was spotless and in perfect condition. Our hosts were wonderful, made sure we knew they were nearby if we needed anything, but didn’t impose. It was convenient to everyplace we wanted to go but still felt off the beaten path. A couple of the houses on the street were sketchy but we felt safe and it was as great to see how many of the older homes were being spruced up. We heartily recommend this property!

It was such a treat to tour the town and learn about Mark Twain! We did the cave and the downtown museum/tour. The boys all golfed in the afternoon - which was also a treat for us since we live in the north! Beautiful clean home. Thank you!

A little late with this review but wanted to make sure to get this up here! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Trish's home in Hannibal. The neighborhood is very close to the major attractions in Hannibal; less than 5 minutes to both historic downtown and Mark Twain cave, but also far enough away that you can enjoy some peace and quiet. Don't be scared off by the neighborhood. It's lower income but felt very safe, and most importantly, it's a quiet residential area and we didn't have to deal with noise, even on the night before July 4th. The house fronts two streets but is a little recessed from both, making loading/unloading awkward if you have a lot of heavy bags. However, Trish and her husband, who live next door, were kind enough to let us use their driveway for a few minutes to both load and unload. Just beware, the side streets leading to the main road are narrow and REALLY steep!
As for the house, the layout is good, with one bedroom and two bathrooms downstairs, and one bedroom and one bath upstairs. There's also a mini-kitchen (microwave and coffee maker only, no stove) if you don't feel like trudging down the stairs in the morning. The central A/C doesn't reach upstairs, but there are two portable units to keep it comfortable. Overall design was nice, particularly the big leather couch in the living room. And LOVED the huge kitchen! There are plenty of plugs both upstairs and downstairs for gadgets, and the WiFi is fast throughout the house. The house was immaculate when we arrived and everything worked as it should have, and it's clear Trish and her husband take a lot of pride in the property. (We chatted for a bit while loading the car, and learned they personally renovated the place.)
My only criticism is the design of the landing at the top of the stairs. The ceiling is really low; I'm only 5'7" and I had to be extra careful not to bonk my head.
Finally, I can't say enough nice things about the host, Trish. She reached out with check-in instructions a couple of days in advance, texted us the morning of to let us know she'd be right next door if we needed anything, and just in general made us feel welcome.
We'll absolutely consider booking here again if we're in the area.

Absolutely wonderful stay
This is just a darling house. Large bedroom downstairs and 2 full beds upstairs. This house looks brand new on inside and was soooo clean! Everything you need for a home away from home! Highly recommend this and if we are ever in Hannibal again would most definitely stay here! Sean and Trisha were so helpful and accommodating!!

Good Stay!
The house was very clean! Very beautiful and well redone. However, the "2nd floor" is more of a renovated attic. It was very cute but compact. The upstairs only has a window unit. During summer months, it only cools down the bedroom (no other area upstairs). The owners were great to work with though and very considerate of the problems.

Nicely Remodeled House
As someone mentioned in an earlier review, the house is located in an older neighborhood that looks a little rough. However the house itself is beautiful and well stocked. It was a short drive to downtown Hannibal, the Mark Twain boyhood museum and the Riverboat. The house worked great for our girls trip!

A Diamond in the Rough
The house is located in an older neighborhood that looks a little rough. However, when we walked into the house, we were blown away by how beautifully decorated and well laid out it was! The Owner's have maximized the use of the space available and created a beautiful and unique home! The Owner's were also readily available and were very hospitable and accommodating! The next time we visit Hannibal, we are planning on staying here again!

Everyone LOVED the "Cottage"
We had a delightful time at this exquisitely renovated property! The grandkids called it the "Cottage" and did not want to leave. It was much more spacious than you might expect. Beautifully remodeled and decorated. It was clean, conveniently located, modernized in everyway, but with plenty of charm. The owners were helpful, friendly, and thoughtful. We will stay here again if we ever make it back to Hannibal.

Amazing get away
Just a beautiful home, decorated lovely. Close to downtown. Was the first RVBO that we felt like we didn't have to wash all the dishes and clean prior to entering the house. This was an extremely well stocked kitchen, really soft sheets and towels. Will stay there again.

Mark Twain Fun!
This wonderful home was a lot of fun for our family road trip! The super cute loft area made my two kiddos time! Sean and Trish were great and easy communication! They live right next door. When we wanted to make pizza one night they were happy to make sure we had the cooking supplies necessary. Everything seems newly remodeled and very clean. It truly is 5 minutes from cute downtown Hannibal, the Mark Twain boyhood museum, and the Mark Twain Riverboat!
