Loved this property & even more so, greatly appreciated the amazing responsiveness of the host, Teri Lynn. There was an issue with the pool heater during our stay & Teri Lynn had 3 people out to the property during our week until it was fixed. The house is lovely and, with the guest house, perfect size for our family. Loved the view and proximity to the beach. Lake Erie was not kind to us during our stay but that is nature. Still enjoyed the sound of the water as well as walking on the beach. 👍👍 for Bertie Bay Bliss & Teri Lynn.

The property was just as advertised. Unfortunately there was a storm and we had to deal with leaves in the pool. The game room was a hit. The accomodations were what we needed aa we are a cooking and lounging family. The outside basketball hoop was enjoyed by the younger men in our group. The access to other activities was a perfect distance as 30min to Niagra gave us time to plan. The property wad well stocked and enjoyed by all.

The house suited our family well! Plenty of room and privacy for everyone! All parents and children had space and places to enjoy! The location was private and yet not far from many of the attractions of the area! The house entertained and was a great place to relax! It was a wonderful family trip!!

We had a very enjoyable week. Would definitely recommend. Teri (property manager/hostess) was exceptional with communications.

We had four kids between 5-9, and the kids never ran out of things to do. From swimming in the pool to playing classic games on the arcade machines, the kids had so much fun. The place was also very well equipped and clean.

This property was, and had all we wanted. Beautiful private beach area, close and far enough away from town. Very clean, well equipped. Everyone loved the pool, hottub and games room.
We had a wonderful time. 5 ⭐️ property

Great location on the lake near Niagra, everything functional, perfect view, quiet and friendly, close to Walmart, accomodating hosts, its the perfect spot for first time tourists of that area

What a wonderful hidden gem! We had a range of ages and all kids were entertained. The arcade room was so much fun, hot tub, walking in the beach, basketball- all the things.
The house was clean and beautiful. The view… holy moly it was stunning! I want to come back in the summer!
Only 28 min from Niagara Falls, there was plenty to do!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this house. It was set up well for two families (6 people total). It had everything we needed. It was an easy trip to the falls; Niagara on the Lake; and Buffalo. We highly recommend this house!

This is our second year staying at Bertie Bay. It has been a perfect location for our multi-generational family vacation and has become a favourite after years of staying at other locations. Very comfortable living space in a quiet location with a beautiful, peaceful view. Many hours were spent enjoying the pool. The new games room added this year provided some extra fun for the family during our stay. For us - also having the convenience of groceries, LCBO, Shoppers Drug Mart, Starbucks etc about a 10 min drive away was an added bonus. The property manager (Teri) is highly responsive both before and during the trip to help address any questions as needed. This really is a great place for those that prize relaxing around a pool with the bonus of a lovely water view.

We had a large family gathering of 3 generations and this place was enjoyed by everyone. Great facilities, including the pool and games room, lots of space and a large dining table that we could all sit around. The property manager was super responsive and helpful.

We have really enjoyed our stay for 8 days at the lake house with great swimming pool, jacuzzi, games room and private beach for swimming/kayaking. Kitchen is very well equipped, rooms and bathrooms are spacious/clean with good mattresses, enough towels/linnen provided and with the guard house you have enough room for family of 9-11 adults. Overall a first class lake house with stunning views and great service by Teri.

Superb weather and well equipped house on a beautiful property made for a great experience for our family aged 2-69

We had such a great time at the property, it looked just like the pictures and had everything we needed for family fun.
The weather and wildfires weren't working with us but we braved the chill and smoke and loved the pool and walks along the beach. There aren't alot of restaurants nearby but the kitchen on site was fully equipped and we made some yummy meals.
We saw a lot of wildlife during our stay, a family of skunks, deer & foxes on the beach, a snake and a super friendly neighbor's dog :)
The process was very easy and Terri was so responsive, would definitely recommend!

Very private, home was beautiful and very comfortable inside. Very clean and spacious. View is incredible. Guest house was wonderful as well.
However...Pool is very old and needs a lot of work. Concrete around pool is very unstable and needs to be updated. The smell of septic was almost toxic and kept us from enjoying the outside. The beach front needs to be cleaned as it is full of seaweed and dead fish. Hard to access the water, but once we did, we enjoyed it. Neighbors arent friendly to the renters so dont wander off your property!!

Wonderful escape for our family! Between the heated pool and the private beach - we never wanted to leave the property. The living area gave us amazing views while enjoying the inside and the guys loved having the game room for any down time. 5 stars!

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay! The house was even more wonderful than the pictures show and the owners thought of everything you could need! There was plenty of space for everyone and we will always remember the fun we had. The rooms were all lovely but also extremely comfortable…..it felt like home!
Our host, Teri, was amazing. Communication was prompt, she always answered every question, gave us total support, and was just so welcoming. I can’t recommend this home and this host enough! Just a total pleasure all around……You have GOT to go!!

We had a wonderful vacation!! The views were amazing and the children really enjoyed the pool! The house was fully equipped and we spent two days just enjoying the house! Close to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake. Everyone was so nice and helpful! Quick responses to all our questions.

Although the property and location were great I was disappointed. Flabbergasted that for what we paid per night that only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom was provided and only three dishwasher pucks. In addition, there was no coffee maker in a property that sleeps up to twelve people. This was the first time I have used the VRBO app. It was glitchy, delayed communication and given how the property is managed (thinking of the TP again) I will not be back and would not recommend. It is a beautiful spot and was very clean but there are repairs needed. Posts have been removed from the deck outside leaving multiple exposed screws. None of the interior doors closed properly (including bathrooms), some of the light switches didn’t work and there were no window coverings in the guest house. There is a light on in the driveway all night and so with no window coverings it was not a pleasant stay in the guest house. The beach is wonderful and the views from the windows are lovely. It was a great place to be with family for a rainy spring weekend but disappointing.

Our family of five enjoyed the gorgeous views, exploring the beach, the game room, the hot tub, and the extra large bunk beds. We can’t wait to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the pool!
Convenient location, just a few minutes from necessities, and less than half an hour from Niagara Falls.

We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday at Bertie Bay Bliss. We were a group of 9. The location is stunning. You wouldn’t want to leave home… just soak in the pool and sip some margaritas!
The sun room was great for the kids to do their board games and Nintendo!
The kitchen and pantry are well stocked with utensils and essentials.
The is ample space for everyone.
Perhaps the most stunning feature of the property is when you enter in and see the gorgeous lake view.
Everything was very clean and well kept. It’s truly a luxurious stay with all the warmth and comfort!
We loved every minute of it and would surely recommend the property for a big family reunion!

This was a great getaway close to everything but still quiet and private. Close access to running trails and a well stocked kitchen. Pool was great and lots of sunny and shady places to hang out.

Great pool to lounge around and enjoy. Lots of space inside and out to enjoy. Teri was responsive and helpful. My only comment is that the property is showing it's age a bit and needs some maintenance. Meets expectations of a cottage but I would expect a more premium experience for the money.

This house was great. It was large enough to fit my extended family. Views of the lake are amazing and the pool and patio areas were a ton of fun for the entire family. The house and property are very secluded and quiet which was nice. Great house and close enough for the Niagara region to enjoy all of the sites and tours.

One of our favorite rentals ever! Wish we could have stayed longer!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your property. The house and amenities were in great shape and very clean. There was a comment from a previous reviewer that you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to another bedroom, but we did not find that. We assume the sitting room outside the primary used to be that bedroom (and perhaps it has a hide-a-bed in the couch that we didn't need). The kitchen was one of the best equipped we've experienced in rentals over the past couple years. That was really great. Beach access was easy and really nice for morning and evening walks. Having the heated pool with beautiful views of the lake made for easier and safer swimming for the kids. The pool had a bit of dirt/debris, but it seemed pretty normal given the many trees on the lot and the recent storms. The location was very private, but with quick and easy access to the highway for day trips and to grocery stores and a Walmart Supercenter for any of our shopping needs. We loved our stay so much, we actually thought about extending our trip, but (no surprise) it was already rented. We have already recommended this stay to some of our friends and are already considering a future trip with other members of our family. Thanks for offering such a great vacation property!

Home (not too far) Away From Home
From the moment we booked our stay, Teri ensured a phenomenal experience. Everything we had hoped for was realized. The accommodations were extremely comfortable and well suited for a large family with a wide age range (2-85), with a fully functioning modern kitchen, spacious dining area with an incredible view, and vast living/lounging areas. Although the weather did not cooperate the day before we left, we made use of the very clean large pool, basketball court, and family walks along the beach.
This was a great experience and we would recommend it without hesitation.

Fabulous retreat
The house was perfect for our family to enjoy Niagara Falls but have some downtime during the day. The pool and lakefront location were ideal!

Gathering spot
This is a great gathering spot for a group/large family. Be aware the main house only has 3 bedrooms and the guest house has 2 others. The main house is very nice. The master bedrooms are huge, but only one has its own bath. The other 2 bedrooms in the main house and in the guest house have to share a bathroom. The guest house is not updated and needs new carpet and is musty smelling. The pool was not cleaned before our arrival, but the owner spent the entire last evening we were there and morning of our departure readying it for the next party which felt invasive. No recycling is available and while the garbage dumpster is supposed to be picked up every 1 or 2 weeks, it was full of rotting garbage with not enough room for our 2 bags and flattened boxes from a 1 week stay. The yard is overgrown with grass a foot tall and ivy is overtaking everything. The pool/deck area were covered in tree blossoms/leaves which was not maintained. The steps outdoors were rotting in spots, so be careful. The whole property is not as well maintained as it could be. We had to clean out the fireplace from all of the winter ashes otherwise the smell of ashes was unbearable. There was a strip of mold in the master bathroom shower. There was a major problem while we were there that was responded to quickly, but the property manager was very defensive and spent a lot of time talking about how hard it was to hire reliable cleaning staff which I understand is a problem everywhere, but not the renter's problem. The manager also defended how well maintained the place was even though we pointed out several issues. This place could be 5 stars, but needs more attention to get there. We had a much smaller problem with our rental car during the trip and the customer service from them was outstanding with the car rental place compensating us beyond our wildest imagination due to a minor inconvenience. The customer service for the major inconvenience at the property was a suggestion from the property manager for 9 people staying to use 1 tiny shower in the guest house along with a small refund. I spend more time than I should have of my vacation dealing with house issues had the property manager been more concerned about the guests than the property owner and herself. I never left a negative review before on VRBO in the 10 years renting different properties around the world. I wouldn't have had to if the property manager had responded professionally to issues.

Great experience!
We loved our stay and have nothing but beautiful memories to share. The house was clean and had an abundant amount of kitchen supplies. The pool heater was not working but Teri was amazing at responding and trying to get it fixed right away. The beach was beautiful but did have shells covering it which made it hard to just sit and enjoy.
The bathrooms and showers were fantastic, the home is beautiful kept. We will definitely be back!

Annual Bike Trip
Wonderful rental. It was a pleasure dealing with the property manager and the house was more than adequately stocked with everything we needed. We were easily able to access the bicycle trails and enjoyed the pool and beach upon our return to the house each day. This property was able to meet the needs of the 6 couples in our group. and we had a relaxing, fun filled long weekend..

Just lovely all around
This property is beautiful, on a mature lot yet updated inside, very well appointed and fully stocked. We wished the pool could have remained open as the weather was great. Also, we didn’t figure out how to turn on the lights in the guest house until the last day. Otherwise, it is a spectacular property in every way!

A Wonderful Girls Get a Way
Bertie Bay Bliss was exactly as described, Blissful! From the moment we pulled into the lane way of this beautiful and private treed property, we knew we had found our happy place. The large home with extra guest quarters has more room then you could need and views of Lake Erie are spectacular !! Complete with very large heated pool, gorgeous fire table, hammocks, garden furniture and so on. Its location is superb and easy to drive a few minutes to small towns and restaurants We especially enjoyed our beach walks and the friendship trail which goes on forever (wonderful to walk, jog or bike) We drove into Niagara on the Lake and back a few times on daily trips. Teri was so caring and attentive to any questions we had or needs and the house checks off all boxes. I recommend this home to anyone looking for a serene atmosphere and we certainly hope to return again. Colleen and friends

Great stay at Bertie Bay Bliss!
Teri could not have been more helpful and the cottage, pool, beach and views were outstanding!
Thank you for helping to make our long awaited get together with friends even more special than we imagined!

Wonderful property!
This property is amazing! We were a larger family group and very much enjoyed the beautiful pool and private beach. The beach is a bit rocky so water shoes would be a good idea. Also 2 of the bedrooms adjoin so you have to walk through one to get to the other. It wasn't an issue for us but something to keep in mind. Teri was a wonderful host/property manager. We didn't have any issues with the property but did have some questions and she was always very responsive. Thank you for a great week!
