Gorgeous hotel to enjoy the area

It was the best hotel in my trip to Norway, and we have been in several hotels around the country. It is in walking distance to the town centre but you also have the possibility of using hotel taxi. It is a quiet area, ideal for sleeping. Situated just by the fjord, it has modern premises with lovely decoration and views you will never forget. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and everything was superb: food quality, the dishes themselves, the views from the heated outdoor terrace. Breakfast is simply extraordinary: wide variety of cold and hot options, fresh products, top quality, Norwegian specialities. Congratulations to the chef! The outdoor jacuzzi made our day. It was so hot and relaxing with a view to the fjord that made our stay unforgettable. This hotel is one of the reasons to come back to Norway. The staff is extremely polite and pleasant. The do their best to help you with everything. It is clear that they like doing their job. Thank you for everything you have given us!!!

Un lieu ressourçant au bord du fjord

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'hôtel. L'emplacement est un peu excentré de geiranger mais pour laisser place au calme avec une vue imprenable sur le fjord. L'espace détente avec les jacuzzi est parfait après une longue journée de route ou de visites. Le personnel est très agréable, le restaurant panoramique propose des plats gastronomiques et un super petit déjeuner très varié ! Une belle parenthèse de bien-être dans un lieu époustouflant !

Fabulous.

The manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. Gave us great advice for touring the area, offered to drive us the mile into town. ALL staff were exceptional. Restaurant had fabulous views.

Lovely

Beautiful view of the fjord. Wonderful buffet breakfast, especially the eggs Benedict, so it was a pity we had to rush for our cruise and had limited time to eat. Complimentary shuttle to and from ferry terminal. Friendly staff.

Nothing really. Wished we had stayed for an additional night. Expensive though. And some ongoing road construction but that’s not the fault of the hotel.

Service was amazing, Helga and Szymon were both very friendly and helpful with providing information about Geiranger / the hotel. Room’s view was exceptional, and there is a walking/camping area right outside the hotel where you can walk along the fjord coast. Room was clean and has all the basic amenities. The hairpin road lies directly behind the hotel, perfect for some photos! Breakfast was tasty (love the waffles!) and offered a rather generous selection of food items. Requests for the provision of a transport service to the city centre was prompt and on time.

The hotel lies a bit far from the city centre (about 5-10min drive) which may be of a mild inconvenience but the hospitality and free transport service provided makes up for it.

Alt i alt veldig bra!

Alt var helt utmerket, unntatt kaffen. Vi savnet vanlig traktekaffe; mye bedre smak, varm kaffe, enkel å forsyne seg av, kaffemaskiner var uhensiktsmessig og kaffen kom i små porsjoner og ble kald med en gang. Det samme gjaldt kaffen på rommet.

Bortsett fra det med kaffen var alt helt supert!

Great location and common facilities, but rooms need renovation.

Excellent sun deck with jacuzzi! Very tasty breakfasts.

Interior of the rooms needs a renovation - everything feels old and used. What's more, our room was not well cleaned before our arrival.

Very happy with our stay.

The view from the room was ok, but spectacular from the restaurant. Very friendly and efficient service. The breakfast and dinner were excellent.

Why not if you want a wonderful fjord experience?

Beautiful setting. Responsible staff. Lovely restaurant with surround fjord views. Absolutely wonderful buffet breakfast fit for a king. Rooms are reasonably spacious. Modern toilet/bathroom facilities.

Price is a bit steep. Parking is a challenge.

The hotel is amazing - everything about it is perfect: location, staff, facilities, food, rooms. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in (and we travel a lot). Definitely the best in our Norway journey.

This was a little slice of heaven.

The views were incredible. It was nice being slightly away from the crowds but still incredibly close to the town. The staff, amenities, and food were all wonderful. I wish I was still here!

There was some construction, but I understand that Summer time is the best to work on updates and the hours didn’t interfere with sleep or relaxation.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.

Unbeatable location. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great room with a view on the Geiranger fjord, and a small balcony to enjoy it even more. Restaurant (dinner) was top quality, with great food and a good selection of wines. Breakfast buffet was just perfect.

I wish I had stayed there more than one night ;-)

We loved the rooms! The breakfast was delicious, as was the dinner! My daughter loved the gym and we enjoyed the coffee throughout! There is a bit of construction going on, so that played a little part in the view not being 100%, but it was still amazing. We all agreed that it was our best hotel experience in our two week journey!

Amazing hotel with exceptional view and great staff!

Stayed here for 2 days to celebrate my birthday and it was everything I hoped for. The staff were so kind and attentive and went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. The evening meals were of Michelin star quality. Incredible! The view is the best I’ve seen yet in Norway. I loved every aspect of my stay at this hotel and highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed!

There is currently construction going to add another building so the noise was not ideal but understandable. I believe it is set to finish in October 2023.

Easy to access the fjord shore; there is just a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel. The view from the restaurant was very nice. However, the best thing about the hotel was the staff's hospitality to tourists. As a result, I have good memories of staying at Geiranger. I highly recommend it!

Parking space was limited, but I think it was not a massive problem because I could manage it.

Superb

Even though the building itself as a hotel is not the best one in my life, the experience, the memory we got there is unforgettable in a positive sense. The two jacuzzis were a kind of highlight of our road trip in Norway. We arrived here on one of the rare sunny days of our journey. Therefore we could enjoy the sunshine and the unique view of the world together in the hot tubes. It was wonderful. The room was just okay, but the wooden building gave a feeling that you cannot get anywhere else. We missed the dinner there but the breakfast and the balcony for it were damn good.

The room was not ready yet.

Easily The Best Choice In Geirangerfjord!!!

The hotel was exceptionally good! Starting with the very efficient and friendly staff - across the board - to very comfortable rooms, to an outstandingly good breakfast, and with a location very few places on planet Earth can match!! The fact it was a little difficult to find a good parking spot is proof of how good the place is! Stayed a night in one of the cabins too, and am not sure if staying in the main hotel building was better, or in those lovely cabins, right next to the Fjord!!

Superb

Beautiful location and wonderful staff. You can rent kayaks from the campground right below the resort, they have a free shuttle into town, and the hot tub overlooking the fjord is divine. They also make their own gin and it’s delightful!

It is spendy and the rooms are still on the small side. Wish dinner offered a plated (not buffet) option
