Directions from Main Street, Pittsburg:
-Take a left onto Back Lake Road (across from Top Gas).
-Travel 2.6 miles, then take a left onto Moose Pond Road.
-Travel .8 miles until Middle Pond Lane is on your left (just after Overlook Drive, you can see the cabin down the hill on the left one telephone pole after Overlook Drive). Middle Pond Lane consists of two properties (#8 is to the right, our cabin is straight ahead when looking at the start of the lane).
FAQ: Couple of questions we receive about the property:
Q: Do you have direct trail access for atv/snowmobile?
A: Yes! Simply walk out the door, hop on your rig, and head on out. You will be directly on the trail system upon pulling down our driveway. Snowmobilers, for a reference point, we are located on Moose Pond Road halfway between Back Lake Road and Trail # 146.
Q: Where can we park our truck/trailers so we can ride the trails for the day after we leave your property? Can we leave them at the cabin?
A: Our housekeepers often have a five hour window in between guest stays. This window doesn’t just include cleaning of the cabin, but also mowing/plowing and other outside upkeep. We have to respectfully ask our guests that have checked out to utilize the designated parking lot across from the trail head on Back Lake Road (approximately 1.8 miles from Moose Pond Road).
Q: Is there a sandy beach on the property?
A: Like most designated trout ponds in New Hampshire, Middle Pond has a vegetative bottom/ shoreline. For swimming, we always recommend to our guests either Philbrook Beach on Back Lake (2.4 miles away), or the beach on First Connecticut Lake (7 miles away).
Q: Are linens included?
A: Yes! Towels, linens, and just about everything you would need in the kitchen are there. Toiletries, hand soaps, and paper products are not provided.
Q: Is firewood/ fire starting materials included?
A: No. We do have guests leave some behind for the next ones to use, but it is not always guaranteed to be there. There are a couple of businesses in the area that are very reasonably priced if you decide to pick up once you arrive in town.

The pictures don't justify the beauty of the view! From the moment you arrive,it is relaxing. We brought our fishing poles and hung out on the dock. The next day after a wonderful night's sleep due to the really comfy bed, we rented ATVS that we were able to ride right to the house. The landlord/ host Anthony was so helpful and got right back to me if I had a question. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place

Amazing stay on this beautiful pond. Watched loons as we paddled around the very quiet and calm water. The house was very clean and was well equipped with everything from quality pots and pans to plenty of watercraft! It was clear all of the little things were thought of that are often missed in other places we have vacationed at. We took a drive on moose alley twice and saw moose both times. Such a perfect stay in a really beautiful place!

This would be our second time coming here....absolutely love the location and house...also like that since our last stay there had been upgrades from the stairs to the dock and new stairs to the house to even a new paddle boat.... you can tell the owner cares about the guest's stay...will definitely be coming back I throughly enjoy my time at this location! There's nothing like waking up walking out the door grabbing a kayak and your fishing pole and hammering brook trout regardless your angling skill! My wife easily caught fish there and shes not a angler so it makes it fun for everbody!

Our family had an absolutely incredible stay at this charming cabin on Middle Pond.
The location was convenient to all of Pittsburg’s amenities, but we mostly stayed on the property. There is something for everyone - ATV trails for adventure and the pond for connecting with nature.
The cabin itself was very clean and the perfect size for our family. It was cozy and had plenty of sleeping spots.
The dock, kayaks, and rowboat were the highlights for our kids—they couldn’t get enough of the water.
The hosts were exceptionally communicative and attentive. Despite a storm a few days before our arrival, they ensured everything was in perfect working order for us. Their dedication to our comfort was above and beyond.
We've been on many family vacations, but this one stood out as our kids' absolute favorite. Our only regret is that we only stayed for three nights—next time, we’ll definitely plan for a longer stay. We can’t wait to return to this wonderful cabin!
Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

It was our second year on Middle Pond and it was another awesome trip. The house has everything you could need and more. Easy check in/out. Super clean. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay and can't wait to come back next year!

Nice cozy home on the pond. We enjoyed the paddle boat and location to the trails. We had a minor issue in the beginning of our stay, that was out of everyone's control but the owner and wonderful housekeeper took care of it quickly and we enjoyed the rest of stay. Would definitely stay again.

This was the perfect location to base my week of enjoying, viewing, and photographing nature! I had a minor issue with the heat not working when I first arrived, but it was quickly resolved by the caretakers who also gave me some wonderful tips on where to find wildlife. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes and pans, the hot water was plentiful and beds very comfortable. Everything was clean and the provided kayaks were well kept and fun to use! I hope to return for another stay!
Note: Verizon cell phone service was very spotty in the area and the internet service was not fast in the house, but was useable.

Overall this cabin was awesome, very clean, and great location to snowmobiling trails. We would definitely recommend this cabin to other friend and family. The one caveat was the road leading into the cabin has a tight hairpin which is difficult to navigate with large trailers.

Stayed Nov 8-19 to hunt. The property was 100% as listed and very clean. Unit is of high quality and we really enjoyed our 10 nights.
All appliances worked and there were 4 TV’s with streaming… one in every room…
I’m expect to rebook next year…

We have stayed in this house a few times and it has never disappointed. The quiet location by the pond and the fire pit are excellent outdoor gathering places, the proximity to the trails and the Buck Rub make for a great base camp for all sorts of adventure.
The house was clean and well appointed, with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful cabin, super clean and cozy. The pond was tranquil, with a great blue heron, otters, different kinds of ducks. We took out the kayaks and enjoyed a camp fire. Highly recommend.

Spend your days enjoying the great outdoors kayaking, fishing, and hiking and enjoy your evenings by the fire with family and friends! Location is perfect for privacy and relaxing. Property is clean. The beds are comfortable, and having the option of a king sized bed was wonderful! Middle Pond is crystal clear and had a blast watching the fish swim around under the kayaks.

This place is a hidden gem for fishermen. There is great Trout fishing just out the backdoor and well over a dozen other fishing locations within 25-30 minutes of the house. We primarily kayak and shoreline fish and Pittsburg NH did not disappoint. The house is excellent. Very clean with everything you need. The communication and check in/ check out process was a easy as it gets. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that enjoys the outdoors.

I stayed here with my older parents (mid to late 70’s), my brother , and teenage son. It was a great place for us all! The pond was so sweet (small but really nice) and we paddled around it on several days. The place was fully equipped with four kayaks, a peddle boat, and a row boat. The house was super clean. We were there for some very warm days but it wasn’t too bad inside because there are tons of fans (ceiling fans and fans you can move around). The kitchen was well equipped (but FYI-bring your own blender and mixer!) it was a quiet and beautiful location and we had a great time. The CT lakes are about 10 minutes away and definitely worth visiting! Also, Young’s General Store had a lot of supplies and food. The power went out for a few hours while we were there and the owner was very good at communicating with me. I definitely recommend this rental!

We rented the camp as our “hub” for fishing adventures around the area. We’re very familiar with Pittsburg having been going there since the mid-1970s and the location worked well for us.
The camp was clean and had good amenities. It was a nice stay.

We had a wonderful time in Pittsburg this year. Our cabin at middle pond was perfect. Right on the trails and the trout fishing in the pond was excellent! We’ll definitely be back!

What a great spot. Very private location with plenty of nature.
Note: if you go there with a trailer (snowmobile/ATV) its a tough entry. Sharp U turn to get into the property, and limited turn around space at house. I have a 22' trailer and had to back all the way in.

Super cute cabin with ample room and gas fire stove for heat. Direct access to lake. Only downside was that the access road and driveway weren’t cleared out. Both cars got stuck. One member of the party ask took a bad fall on their head due to the ice.

Property was perfect for a quick hunting trip. Great location and excellent accommodations.

The cabin seemed to be brand new and had everything we needed. Lots of space for 6 guys and the location was great, plenty of privacy but so close to back lake. The pond was so picturesque and evenings by the fire pit watching the stars were a relaxing way to end the day. We will definitely be staying here again.
