The house was just as described. So close the the lake that we ate our lunch on sun porch and enjoyed the view. And within walking distance to all Sylvan Beach had to offer.

We had a nice long weekend there! It’s a great location with the beach right across the street and you’re able to also walk to everything.
I parked my car in the front of the house ( no driveway ) when we first got there and didn’t have to drive until we had to leave. The house was cute and felt a little like my grandfather’s cottage being able to walk to the beach. Having an outdoor shower would have been great though to be able to get all the sand off you before going in the house. Quiet neighborhood, people were pleasant , and beautiful sunsets. Small kitchen has a little table and couple of chairs , microwave, a coffee maker (not a single cup Keurig machine), full size fridge/freezer , washer and dryer , but didn’t have a dishwasher.
I walked across the street to the convenience store and would get coffee every morning there that was pretty good, plus they have a lot of miscellaneous things you need if you forgot something . The sunroom off of the living room has picnic table with tablecloth on it and benches, and a couple more chairs, hanging lights around top of windows you can put on at night make it look cute and back door leads to the side(back ) yard where there is a fire pit and grill . I would definitely recommend to anyone with a small group of people looking for a get away near the beach, that is relatively quiet , but still able to walk to everything.
Thank you !

The property was great overall! Communication with David was clear and responsive making it easy to book and get questions answered. The loft upstairs is a nice extra space for older kids to go, but would note it does have a narrow ladder and large spaced spindles which made me nervous for my 2 1/2 year old. Plenty of dresser space. Great location! Generally quiet street and very easy walk to town and the beach was right there.

Very nice little place. Great location & an easy walk to the beach. We were able to walk back for bathroom breaks and lunch. Walkable to the Amusement Park too! Spent a day at the beach, day at the amusement park, went to dinner and of course, ice cream! David was a great host. He promptly answered all of our questions & the house was cozy, clean & well equipped, we just added fun!

Very happy with the rental. Grill needed cleaning but gas ran out. Be sure to bring linens and towels. Would love to rent again.

Fun historical beach neighborhood
My family had so much to do with our little ones. We appreciate the cleanliness of this property and its neighborhood. The two things I would want during my stay was an outdoor shower to rinse off the large amount of sand. The inside shower was small but by the end of the week we adjusted nicely. This beach House was stocked nicely with beach toys, board games and drawing papers to last a lifetime. Our three year old had a blast. The communication with the owner was excellent. We’re rating the house a 5 out of 5 because we want other families to experience this cute Sylvan Beach house.
