Our family of 11 stayed and celebrated my husband’s 70th birthday. We had our 5 grandkids with our daughter’s family and it was great weather. We saw many wonderful places. Our host Sarah was great and gave us many recommendations. The property was beautiful and we would recommend staying here. Lorraine. .

Myself and my family, 8 adults and 5 kids ages 13-1 had a wonderful time! The house was perfect and the kids had fun swimming, fishing and exploring daily. The kitchen was well equipped with with everything we needed The communication with Sarah was great as well. Pictured Rocks cruise was beautiful! We will definitely be back!

One of only a handful of properties that could handle our extended family group size and on the lake to boot! We could watch the sun rise and set from the dock. The yard was great for the kids to play in (bring yard games with you). Stairs to the lake were challenging for grandma, but we knew that would be the case based on photos. What we didn’t realize or notice before renting is that there is also a step down into the living room (sunken living room) and then a step back up to get into the first floor bedrooms. Worth noting for older guests. The house is older and has some repair needs/issues. For example, not all the windows were operable and we ran into a couple of snafus during our stay with the plumbing. The owners were immediately receptive to our messages and came by twice to help take care of things. The guest cabin is a converted shed that is cute, but the bathroom is incredibly tiny and hard to move in even for the smallest of people. I recommend housing the kids/teens there as they like the clubhouse feel. Long story short, the house is not perfect and has some unusual quirks, but if if you’re like us, and spend most your time outside exploring, you will not be disappointed by this home’s yard, lake access, views, privacy, and quick easy drive into town (only 3 minutes away from restaurants and stores).

We stayed at this property for a week with another family. The pros are that the location is wonderful, it is very spacious with lots of beds, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The cons are that the property is in need of some care. There is a major moisture issue in the house, Made it very uncomfortable with both the smell and mold. The mattresses are all extremely uncomfortable as well. We tried to use the grill the second night we were there and it was so coated in grease and grime that it caught on fire and was unusable for the entire week. Overall, it is a charming property and a great location, but we would not stay there again in its current condition.

We enjoyed our stay at the Point! The view was wonderful! We were close to many trails and waterfalls and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in general. The water of course was cold, it is Lake Superior! We were able to swim both at the cottage and we particularly enjoyed Miner’s Park. The dock at the cottage could use a ladder for getting out of the water. Water shoes made getting out somewhat easier.
The bedrooms were roomy and closets were large.
The kitchen itself was a little small , the dining area however was roomy.
As is stated in the description, the house is built on a rock. The drop off at the edge is quite high . We had an autistic 4 year old in our group, we always kept the doors locked when we were inside and had him firmly in hand when headed to the shoreline.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and would come again if we wanted to come to the UP.

Excellent family vacation!
A wonderful four generation family vacation, age 6 to 91! My parents enjoyed the views from the bedroom, family room and dinning room. The outdoor deck was especially nice for them to participate in family games and watch the young ones play volleyball and badminton in the backyard. The bedrooms were spacious. The property is amazing, very secluded, private and peaceful. Be sure to check out the tree growing of a rock that had split in two, forming a small canyon. We had a campfire in the firepit almost every night. With some care, my parents were able to climb the stairs down to the dock. We had rented a pontoon boat and was able to dock at the house to load and unload, a wonderful feature of this house. Wish we could stay longer!

The Point was beautiful, the property and view were amazing! My communication with the Host Sarah was most helpful; she was pleasant and responded quickly! All the kitchen staples that were provided were great and certainly much more than I imagined; spices, coffee, filters, etc. The area was beautiful and lots of outdoor stuff to do. We even were blessed with the appearance of two bald eagles flying over the property!
There were only a few minor things that shouldn't stop you from staying here; primarily there were no curtains in the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom in the main house, and in the cottage I would suggest providing instructions on how to turn on the heater/stove and adjust the temperature on the hot water heater. Again, nothing major and don't hesitate to stay there! The main house and cottage were great!

Beautiful Mid-Week Get Away
My friends and I had an awesome time at The Point! The house was clean, spacious, and was equipped for cooking all meals. Everyone enjoyed relaxing on the back deck, dock, and bonfire area. Absolutely beautiful property. Sarah was quick and clear with communication. Can’t wait to come back again!

A Piece of Paradise
The location and the view at this stay were beyond remarkable. The character of many areas of the stay and the building were quite pleasing. The bathrooms could use some attention as the rooms themselves were large and yet the showers were not made for the average height person. The upstairs bath ceiling is a bit too low for proper use. The grill for cooking is functional but could use replacing and the stove is one that would also benefit from being replaced. However do not let this stop you from staying at this amazing property, these are minimal needs compared to the house, the property, the view, and the outstanding communication with Sarah. We would stay again without hesitation
