About this house rental
This private and secluded property is unique to Roatan. Just off the main road to a quiet beach, Villa Verde is located minutes from Roatan International Airport (RTB). The beach is maintained daily, and the sea is part of the Roatan Marine Park preserve, which offers a safe, calm area to explore this underwater ecological paradise.
Our quiet location includes a private pier only available to the small Sundancer community. The pier has an entrance to the deeper water, a shaded palapa, and an upper level for catching mesmerizing sunsets.
Imagine a secluded beach with no vendors, no elbow-to-elbow tourists, yet the busy beaches can be reached in minutes. The Mesoamerican reef (the second largest reef in the world) runs parallel to our property, where you can experience some of the best snorkeling and diving in the world.
The Sundancer pool is a short walk through the lush jungle and is inviting year around. The neighborhood is safe, private, with 24-hour security. Our property manager can arrange airport pick up and drop off (up to 4 people) if needed for a low fee, and can also suggest or help with itineraries of your choice, including a private chef.
The warm temperature makes the sea inviting year-round. Local activities are steps away. On the beach is Blue Island Divers (blueislanddivers.com) where you can dive (any level), rent kayaks, snorkel, deep sea fish, boat tour, etc. Lawson Rock is also a short walk down the beach where you can grab a latte, smoothie, or a bottle of wine to enjoy. Their deli offers a great breakfast and lunch menu.
West End is about 15 minutes away and has ample tourist shops, restaurants, and bars. We have made arrangements with the Mayan Princess Beach Resort (mayanprincess.com) for you to receive a guest pass to use their magnificent pool and beach area, parking, etc. West Bay is one of the top 10 beaches of the world and is about a 10-minute beach walk from Mayan Princess where you will find upscale restaurants along with beachfront bars and a wide variety of water activity rentals.
Anthony's Key (anthonyskey.com) is minutes away from Villa Verde, for diving, snorkeling, and swimming with dolphins.
Our BBQ grill on the deck is perfect for a grilled seafood feast!
There is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath casita available for rent below the villa for groups larger than 8 guests, making total capacity 12 guests. Inquire for availability and cost. (Vrbo 3593710)

Spacious home with all we needed for a great stay. The location on the beach is perfect. Deck & screen porch with beautiful views & gas grill (useful in power outage). Plenty of room for 7 adults. Beds were comfortable. The entire house is up a flight of stairs from the garage if mobility is an issue. The living room was generous w/plenty of couch space. The beach extras were nice especially the 2 kayaks which were great for snorkeling at the reef (some of us paddled and some swam - we could switch if someone wanted a break.) There were floaties, snorkel safety floats, life jackets, and a random assortment of snorkel gear. The garage was a great spot to drop all of our beach gear and put towels/swimsuits in the laundry. Well appointed kitchen w/air fryer, toaster, coffee maker, baking sheets, pots and pans, spices/olive oil, etc. We paid for 5 gallon jugs of water ($1.25 each) which Vanessa supplied. Vanessa (prop host) was great with communication and came over during power outage to deliver flash lights and batteries.
Reef and Pier - our favorite spot. It was like a private dock, rare to have anyone else out there. The shady spot to read in between time in the water was great! Some of our favorite snorkeling on the entire island was just out to the right from our pier.
Blue Island Diving - just steps down the beach. They were great!
Be sure to have Miss Deborah cook for you. We had baleadas one night (enough left for lunch) and enchiladas another. So delicious!

This property is wonderful. The beds are comfortable and the house is stocked with everything one needs including extra toilet paper, washer and dryer, kayaks, well stocked kitchen extra trash bags. The screened in porch is a must and the view from the porch is amazing. The dock is a great place to hangout and swim from.

This house was perfect for me and my husband and our teenage boys. The location was excellent. Just a short walk to Blue Island Divers and close to all necessities. Coconuts restaurant, a short walking distance offered good food, entertainment and fun atmosphere.
Vanessa was always available to answer any questions we had. We brought games with us only to find the house was stocked with all the games we brought. Mornings and evenings were beautiful to sit on the dock and watch the Sun, ocean and the many hummingbirds.
Definitely would book again!

Villa Verde was exactly as advertised--and practically perfect in every way. Vanessa was very communicative & amazingly flexible (especially when the airlines did not cooperate with our intended schedule). The beds were comfortable, the house was well equipped & clean, sunset from the dock was gorgeous, the internet, AC, & hot water all worked the entire time. We did not rent a car & did not need one. Easy access to taxis & Blue Island Dive Shop. Prices on the island have definitely gone up since the last time we visited but still a great value (and wonderful people). Would completely recommend this property for families.

We truly enjoyed our stay and visit. The reef was amazing. If you swim from the pier directly straight out you'll find the reef. We would be out for about 90 minutes at a time. The water is so warm and soft and an easy swim. The house is clean and comfortable. We did feed the hummingbirds and left the sugar for the next guests. The coffee pot needs to be replaced and I wish there were actual beach chairs so we could have laid on the beach in the chairs. The grocery store had pretty much all you needed. And we drove to Half Moon Bay and ate at the Argentina Grill 5-8 times. There are beach chairs near the restaurant and they will bring you food and drinks, out to the beach. And the snorkeling there was so good. You'll need to swim to the left or right of the bay, away from the boats. Also, you can park behind the restaurant there. It was difficult to find public parking. We drove down and around the island one day, there was so much litter in the ocean off of Flowery Bay. Very sad. This island is a treasure a real treasure. I wish the leadership would take care of the people there, who are so very kind and gracious. Our hosts have a real gem of a home. Every day the beach was cleaned and at night a bunch of kids played soccer. Delightful.

All descriptions were accurate. It’s in a very peaceful neighborhood. The reef off the doc is a bit of a swim or paddle, but the snorkeling there is as good as we saw on 11 paid dives / snorkels.
Access to the mayan princess was nice too.

Family vacay
Overall property was nice and listing description was accurate. We chose the location based on diving and original search of area showing plenty of close restaurants. Probably due to Covid, those are no longer open, but that is not the fault of the property owner. Just FYI for future stays. The unit was well stocked and is in need of some minor repairs but everything worked. A/C in all room, good internet, snorkeling equipment and kayaks were all nice. View is amazing.

Idyllic Place To Stay
We had a fantastic 7 night stay at the house. The views, the dock, the swimming, and most of all the dive shop just a short walk down the beach. Quiet, comfortable, spacious, with everything you need to relax and enjoy while on a Caribbean island. You could get away without a car but ours enhanced the overall all adventure.

Perfect beach front family vacation!
Beach front, large house in a beautiful tropical jungle-like setting! Felt nicely protected and semi-private, away from the tourist-dense areas near West End. 3 bedrooms, along with a large family room/kitchen/dining room. The rental includes the 2nd/3rd stories, while there's a small separate apartment and garage on the first floor. 2 decks on the main floor-- one screened in and one open air, as well as a small balcony on the top story-- all of which have amazing views, esp of the sunsets. The garage has the laundry and beach toys available for use, including the sit upon kayaks and scuba-buoy to take when you're snorkeling. The sandy beach was perfect for little kids, and there are no waves to worry about. As you wade a little deeper, it does become dense with sea grass pretty quickly, but jumping off the dock into the open water was great, and within a short swim, you're snorkeling over incredible coral. The Sundancer community pool was nicely maintained, just a couple of mins walk from the house. There wasn't much in the way of food options immediately available-- the Salty Mango, which was a grill within a short beach walk is now closed, so we ended up driving frequently to West End, or doing simple meals at the house. Very friendly neighborhood, and very attentive and helpful hosts. Definitely recommend this place-- and we hope to return one day!

Nice place to seat in Roatan
This is a nice beach nome with a lovely view over the ocean. The water is very warm and protected by the reef, the house is well equipped for housekeeping. There is good snorkelling from the beach but it is a long swim out to the reef, especially if you are going against the current. One day we took a 2 + hour snorkelling trip with Blue Divers which is just up the beach and had great snorkelling in Pristine Bay.
There is no restaurant near the house that is open for dinner. The roads are not great, so we only went to West End twice and to the nearest grocery store which is about 10 minutes in the direction of the airport a few times. It was Easter weekend which is very, very busy. If I ever return to Roatan I would rent the house again.

Villa Verde paradise
We could not have been happier with our stay in Villa Verde. The location is ideal from sipping a morning coffee on the open air porch to viewing sunsets every evening on the screened in patio. Though Roatan has good restaurants, many evenings we prepared our own meals in the well stocked kitchen and grilled on the large barbecue located on the patio. There are also several dining tables!
The villa itself is well built, clean, spacious and airy. The many windows allow in the bay breezes throughout the day and evening.
Our hosts, Gary and Mindy, were very responsive to our questions before settling in and provided good advise about the island and surroundings. Once we arrived several repair issues were tended to within a day.
We look forward to returning to Villa Verde.
This place is a gem!

Serene, peaceful, and just what we needed.
Our family enjoyed the property greatly. We look forward to coming back again soon. The neighborhood was nice and the pier was a nice hub in the evenings. Great stay! Thanks

Great family vacation
Wonderful snorkeling. Loved the dock and the beautiful sunsets. We were 6 adults so we rented a car which we were very happy about. Walking along the main road to West End would have been a nightmare. Taxis however are everywhere so getting one is probably pretty easy. Dive shop two doors down was very nice and we went fishing for small fish one morning.
We had a very good vacation.

This place was AMAZING!!
We had a fabulous time at Roatan, staying in Mindy's house. We loved everything about our stay. The property manager (Vanessa) was fabulous! We had a few kinks to work out (snorkel gear broken or missing and grill not working) and she stepped up each time to find a fix and make our stay as awesome as we anticipated. The house is fabulous, the location is to die for, the views and sunsets were amazing. We have no complaints at all!!! Definitely recommend and cannot wait to return! Thank you thank you thank you for making this vacation absolutely memorable!

Great Home and Location!
The dock was awesome...Snorkeling right off the dock was great!
The home was better than we expected. The beds were VERY comfortable. We will rent this home again on our next visit.
We walked to our Dive Center (Blue Island Dive Center)!
Can't say enough good things about the home, location and the property manager!

What a wonderful house nestled on a quiet stretch of pristine beach. Snorkeling right off the shore. Great neighbors gathering for sunset each night. House had everything. We would definitely stay here again.

Away from the hustle and bustle
We loved this property! Far enough away from the crowded beaches yet close enough to great restaurants and activities. Having the dock and access to kayaks was the best part of the experience. Vanessa was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to help us when our son had an allergic reaction and needed medical attention. Peter was also available and responsive to our questions. The neighborhood was great...we especially enjoyed the neighbors dog, Karma, who visited with us often on the beach. We would highly recommend this location if you enjoy getting away from it all and want to spend some quality family time.

Amazing vacation
We stayed at Peter's beach side villa for 2 weeks. Firstly Peter is amazing at answering any questions and gives you a thorough rundown (via email) on the property and information on the island. The property itself is in a great location if you want to explore the island. We did rent a car which worked well for the 5 of us. Its about 20 minutes from west bay; 10 minutes from the west end; we easily navigated north to the Roatan brewery and up to Punta Gorda as well. The house is right on a quiet stretch of beach with access to the dock. The dock was awesome and we snorkeled every morning. We saw sea turtles, lionfish , trumpet fish, etc right off the dock; our son who is 3 was very excited to see real life sea turtles! The house itself is very spacious with lots of room. It is truly equipped with everything you would need. I would say the house could use some upgrades to really get your bang for your buck! We did especially love the screened in porch, the sand flies are definitely around so it was nice to be protected by the screens. We enjoyed the views with the hummingbirds in the morning and sunsets in the evening.
Word of the wise though, the neighbor to the right(east) gets quite mad if you walk on her property, we were not aware and did get yelled at when we got there. So just a warning to go around the left side of the house to avoid her.
We did check out the sundancer pool but it seems it needed a good cleaning and the lounge chairs were covered in bird droppings. Vanessa did supply some wrist bands for the maya princess resort and it is really beautiful there so we definitely were glad that those were on hand so we could enjoy a pool!
One last thing to mention is the Blue Island Divers is located a short walk to the east. They are amazing and we were so happy we were so close to them! A few of us got our open water certs and we booked our snorkel adventures with them as well. The salty mango is also great, amazing gal who works there, food is great and the beer is cold. Overall a great vacation. Thanks Peter for hosting us! We will most definitely return to Roatan:)

Beautiful, fully equipped home in ideal beachfront Sandy Bay location
Our family of five had a wonderful time and couldn't speak more highly of our experience at Peter's property!!
The location of the property is perfect home base for a stay on Roatan. It's just a short drive from the airport, large grocery store, the shops and restaurants in West End, the amazing beach at West Bay, Gumbalimba Park, and much more!
The house is spacious and filled with many wonderful amenities including a fully equipped kitchen, a large deck where you can enjoy the breathtaking ocean view, a garage with an assortment of kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment, a dock from which you can launch your water adventures, excellent A/C, reliable WiFi, in-house laundry facilities...the list is endless! We also enjoyed the thoughtful "extra touches" such as airport transfer upon arrival, free access to the beautiful Mayan Princess resort/pool (our family LOVED it there!) and the Sundancer pool, the complimentary 5-gallon water cooler, extra beach towels, etc.
In addition, we appreciated the great communication provided throughout our trip by both Peter and property manager, Vanessa. Both were quick and super helpful in replying promptly to any questions we had.
We would HIGHLY recommend this property. It's truly a wonderful place to stay in Roatan, and we are already looking forward our trip there next summer!

Very Nice Beach House
Away from the busy places, quiet, and comfortable. This location is great if you like to be a little away from the crowd. It was just my wife, 12 yo son, and I staying here, but there was plenty of room for a larger family. House amenities are great. Kitchen has about everything you need (coffee maker, blender, toaster, pans, etc.). We did not cook a lot, but it was possible. The Salty Mango was a great place to eat just a 3 min walk to the east. Beds were comfortable. TV worked great with many channels. Porches were really nice. Kayaks were really nice to have there, a definite bonus. The owner, Peter, was very helpful and responded to any questions we had. We did not have a car for our stay, just stopped at Eldon's grocery on the way to the house and taxied back there a few times to grab more food, beer, and wine. Prices there were fair. Taxis are pretty easy to catch, just a walk up to the main road and within a few minutes you'll get a ride. Their price goes by how much per person and definitely make sure to get the price first, before getting in the taxi. They seemed to start their price higher than it should cost, then we'd negotiate to a better price. The passes to go to the Mayan Princess/West Bay from Vanessa's husband are great. We went there twice. It's about a 15 minute taxi ride. The resort and beach there are very nice, but make sure to look up what days the cruise ships dock. We heard it can get very busy there and on the beach if it's a cruise ship day. When we went it wasn't that busy, but the beach vendors are persistent, so you'll get asked a few times if you want to buy excursions/items/food. That was a huge plus back at the house, because the beach there is almost all yours without vendors or many other people. West Bay was a 15 min taxi drive. West End is about 10. The Iguana Sanctuary is about 25 min. We paddled the kayaks and snorkeled right off the dock at the house, about a hundred yards out. Plenty to see. We also used Blue Island divers for our first scuba dive and would definitely recommend them (3 min walk down the beach to the east right next to The Salty Mango). Overall we had a great visit to this house and location, and would definitely recommend it!!
Thanks Peter for a great vacation at your place!!!

The Villa that offers the BEST Sunsets EVERY night!!
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Sundancer Villa. There was plenty of room for our family of five. It was clean and well maintained. The location was perfect on the island. It was quiet and only a short ride to all the nightlife you could want. We absolutely LOVED meeting other guests staying in the Sundancer neigborhood. We made many new friends over the course of our stay. The beach front is well kept and it is a great place for walks along the shore. We felt safe and were completely cared for by Vanessa. She was readily available for any of our needs or questions.
We took advantage of the Mayan Princess resort access on West Bay Beach and got to explore that end of the island. Blue Island Divers is just a short walk down the beach and we spent lots of time diving, fishing and hanging out with the wonderful staff. Also just a short walk from the house is the Salty Mango. If you want delicious seafood and tasty island drinks...this is a great place!! The dock in front of the house is a great place to hang the hammock and watch sunsets, read a book or just relax and feel the cool sea breeze. The house is stocked well with other island toys...we loved the kayaks and enjoyed paddling up and down the shores of Sandy Bay.
We did not have a car but never felt stranded. Vanessa set us up with a courier service and we continued to use them for the duration of the trip. They are awesome about stopping at Eldons (grocery store) on your way in from the airport and also when you are out and about on the island. The store is so convenient to the house that is not any extra to stop in real quick and replenish.
I would most definitely stay here again...the people around you are good people and the house has everything you would need. Thank you Peter and Vanessa for making our vacation one we will always remember!!!

Hidden Treasure
This property was exactly as presented. The house was clean upon arrival, is spacious, well equipped, and very accommodating. The house sits off the road and right on the beach with fabulous views of the ocean and amazing sunsets! Our favorite part of the house was the front porch facing the ocean. As shown in the pictures, the porch has a covered roof but what you don't see is that half the porch is an open area with lounge chairs and a gas grill. The other half was screened in with a large dining table where we ate all our meals and enjoyed the evening ocean breezes safe from any bugs that come out in the evening. We snorkeled every day as the reef was an easy swim off the end of the dock. The reef offered beautiful coral and fish life and we saw something different every time we went. The property is only 10 minutes from the airport so transportation was quick and easy. This is our second vacation to the island and the airport has made some changes that made arriving and departing the island much easier/smoother than our last visit. Our party was 2 couples and we've already discussed that we would come back to this property again!

great waterfront home location for diving and explororing Roatan
2 weeks went by too quickly, diving with Blue Island Divers just up the beach. close to west end for the shops and restaurants, sights and smells of Roatan. Close to West Bay for strolling on the best beach in the world. Loved the local feel on Sandy Bay area.
A car or pickup is needed to enjoy the island at your own schedule and pace. House has everything needed for vacation at the beach, Vanessa is helpful and just a call away. Thanks

Great Holiday Getaway
Our family stayed for a week and enjoyed the accommodations. Vanessa was wonderful in making sure we had everything we needed and was prompt. We loved being so close to Blue Island Divers and had a great diving experience. Also enjoyed having lunch at the Salty mango. The entire family enjoyed the kayaks and other ocean toys! The house is clean and the kitchen has all the necessary items to make meals. We enjoyed seafood and fruit from local vendors. Would stay again.

One of a kind
This is an amazing house and an absolute must if you want a spot where you can be away from lots of people but still access restaurants, a pool, the reef, and a dive shop. Interior is spacious and well decorated and there is attention to details such as a well stocked kitchen, abundant ocean gear, screened in porch (which is a must), airport pickup and delivery, and a lovely manager, Vanessa. As well as some of the more subtle touches of the foam topper for the master, hummingbird feeders, a kid's life jacket and pool toys, beach towels, etc. Our week was spent between the pool, ocean, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, and paddleboarding out to the reef!! Perfect!!

Great location, comfortable house, excellent for families.
We spent two weeks over August and we highly recommend this house. It is well located, close to West End, West Bay and Supermarkets and places to eat. The house is right on the beach and we spent many hours just relaxing there. The house has a covered deck for meals and another open deck where you can laze away time. The water itself is shallow and a little rocky/sea grass but still for cooling off and for use was perfect for our 18 month old who could wade around without us hovering over her. A 10 min drive away is West End which has a beautiful beach. There is also swimming and snorkeling off the pier. The property also has a pool where we spend time as well. The house has kayaks and it is a 5 minute paddle out to the reef where you can tie off and snorkle. Vanessa, who manages the property, is friendly and very responsive.

great location, perfect for a group of adults.
6 adults spent 4 days here. A great location in a house with a good sized kitchen and sitting area. On the beach, walking distance to restaurants and local little stores, and a feeling of being part of the community (vs behind gates). A 2 minute walk to the main road gave access to taxis and the local buses. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome rental right on the beach!
This was an awesome stay! Vanessa picked us up at the airport and was always responsive to my emails. The house was even better than the pics. The view from the porch is just amazing. I filled the humming bird feeders with sugar water and loved watching the many hummingbirds. We had plenty of room to spread out and sunsets from the dock are fabulous!! The no seeums are no joke so make sure you’re prepared with plenty of bug spray and you’ll be fine.
Snorkeling is a small swim out or a kayak ride. We saw sea turtles and really neat fish even some right under the stairs by the dock. The kayaks and paddle boards are great!
We did check out the dive shop and the Salty Mango. They were super nice and the Blue Mango frozen drink was the best!
The agreement to use the Mayan Princess where Vanessa’s husband works is perfect. We laid around in lounge chairs in the shade and our college aged kids roamed the busy beach at West Bay. Kids went parasailing and we had some great lunches at the restaurants nearby.
We shopped for groceries at Eldon and were able to cook meals at the house. After sunset we could hangout at the house. The internet connection was better than mine at home. We caught up on some Netflix with the whole family.
We spent a week there and included a fishing trip with Wahoo Slayer (amazing), ziplining at Southshore zipline (do the Zuperman!). It was a great week! This rental was perfect! Thanks for letting us rent your beautiful place!

Great private escape!
4 adults had a great week here. Even though Vanessa was gone on vacation, we had great communication. She is very attentive. There’s a great supply of water toys; kayaks, snorkel gear, paddle boards, etc. The A/C works great, and you are a short taxi ride to anywhere on the island. We had fresh mangos every day from the trees on the property. We would absolutely stay here again. They have everything you need, and it’s very private. Top suggestion; go to Por Que No restaurant in West End....loved it. Don’t miss the Mayan Princess access bracelets this house allows you. It’s a fantastic place to snorkel, there’s so much to do in that area, even though you can snorkel right off your beach. Couldn’t ask for more!

Great house but not all is as it seems
If you think gorgeous beaches is going to translate into great swimming, renter beware. Despite anything the owner will tell you, the entire beachfront in all directions for as far as you can walk is covered in protected sea grasses. It’s awesome for sea creatures and snorkeling opportunities. Not a place you can comfortably swim with the family.
The house itself is great and the passes provided for a hotel in West Bay makes it great for beach swimming if you have a rental car.
