this property was old, needs a lot of work done. spiders , including in bed which scared the life out of me and kids. Location was nice, view was perfect. NO internet and no TV, so only appropriate if you want to disconnect from the world. No washer and dryer.

More advanced notice of location address and contact phone number would have been helpful. Communication through VRBO was terrible. The location was OK, highway traffic noise and no place to walk around. The view was great.

Overall great view and most of the amenities we needed. Could have at least one queen bed as it was difficult to share a bed with my wife on a single bed. I enjoyed not having a tv but could have used some Wi-Fi for business and overall communication. Wasn’t sure about trash removal so we hauled our trash to a dumpster on the spit. Caught a ton of fish and enjoyed all of the attractions homer had to offer.

Beautiful setting. Comfortable but basic clean and well located. Could use a fillet knife and sharpener in the kitchen but otherwise we’ll equipped.

The view and the location to Homer was great. The house was clean but run down. There was rust in the sink in the bathroom, no laundry options and only one set of towels for the week, there was no comfortable seating in the living area.

We had a great trip staying here coming in from anchorage the check in process was real easy the inside was pleasant to look at and the view from the balcony was breathtaking the only thing we had to do to accommodate was bring pillows because the chairs can be a little uncomfy at times but other than that the stay was great in every other way this was our 2nd trip here and would definitely come back again.

Unbeatable value and view, minor points off for beds that fell off of their broken/cheap frames while we were on them (with no real fix) and for clipped fingernails on the headboard. Would rent again.

We enjoyed the view tremendously. The kitchen is a nice size for cooking meals as well. The property is an older style cottage and fine for our family of four.

A nice older home overlooking Cook Inlet. Beautiful view, sunsets, a rainbow. The house is very conveniently located to just about everything we wanted to do while visiting Homer. The only thing that keeps us from giving this house a complete 5 star rating is the bathroom. The shower curtain was moldy. The grout appeared to be moldy. Now, the grout issue could simply be because the tile and grout are older. But, the shower curtain can certainly be replaced. There is a strong smell of mold and mildew in the house. We loved the fact coffee and coffee filters were provided. Coffee pot and coffe were not mentioned in VRBO listing. A very nice surprise. A nice full-size fridge. Clean kitchen and bedrooms.

Great Experience
I rented this property for two nights while my parents were visiting from out of state. There were four of us that stayed, with my son on the futon in the living room. The view is priceless and did not disappoint. The location is excellent, just on the outskirts of town and 10-15 minutes from the spit. The property and furnishings are run-down but clean and comfortable. There was no TV or internet access, but we didn't go to Homer to watch TV anyways. I would definitely stay again for the view and close proximity to town.

Beautiful view
The view from this home is incredible. Sitting on the deck was so relaxing.
The house was clean and kitchen well stocked with tools needed for cooking. Keypad entry made checking in and out super easy and no worries about losing a key.
The furniture had been well used and was worn in. The beds were very uncomfortable as you could feel the springs. Also, in the bedroom with 2 beds, they are bunk beds taken apart. The bolts are still sticking up which worries me if we were to have littles there, that they would get hurt. Also, the electric wires are running on the outside of the wall in this same bedroom which seems unsafe.
All in all, this was a great place for what we needed. It’s just needs a little TLC and furniture updates.

Great Get Away
House reminded me of our cabin back in Michigan. Like a home away from home. Host was easy to get in contact and this made a great location while fishing in Homer with a beautiful view

Alaska Fishing
Very easy to reserve . Very clean, well supplied, except no Dish towels and toilet needed to be cleaned under the rim. Over all we were very pleased with the home.

Family trip
We had the best time; we put puzzles together , read, enjoyed each other’s company and wanted to stay longer but unfortunately the place was rented out so we couldn’t! At first we thought with no TVs that it would be a tough stay but in the end we were glad that there weren’t any because we did things together that we normally do not! The only disappointment was that the coffee pot did not work!

Incredible View
The house is tucked away just off the highway and the view of the bay is breathtaking. Entry is private and easy to access. The vibe of the property is rustic and eclectic, decorated with maritime collectibles and a great book collection throughout the house. We definitely spent most of our time on the patio (great weather) but could have easily enjoyed ourselves in the living room. It was mostly quiet besides the occasional truck braking down the highway nearby. Comfortable beds and futon. Would definitely recommend to small families.
