Our large group (9 adults + 6 kids under the age of 5) had a fantastic time at this house. Kids loved jumping off the dock (though the water level was very low) and everyone had plenty of room. Thanks so much!

Lots of room for the whole family or multiple families! Short, easy walk to the lake and this location is practically on a sand bar so you stand or swim; your choice! House has everything you need and plenty of bathrooms. Not too far from Clemson but not right downtown so plan accordingly for food and restaurants.

The listing says there is a hot tub, no hot tub on property. We were a bit disappointed. Other than the lack of hot tub everything was great. Well stocked, clean, and spacious. Our little group had a wonderful time visiting with family and relaxing here. There was even a Christmas tree set up, we took some family photos around it.

Great location with lots of room. Lake was low due to the time of year but everything else was just perfect.

This is a great house and very well equipped. everything you need in the kitchens and great wifi . The tv channel selection was perfect for watching all of our weekend football games. Clemson and the stadium is just a short drive as well. Would definitely stay again.

We met our family with 8 adults, two kids under 5, and two babies. There was plenty of space, the dock was a great place to hang out, and the outside space was great! The house was clean and very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time enjoying the private dock, kayaks, and stand up paddle board. The house had ample space to hang out, including a great deck off the back of the house. The firepit was a nice place to enjoy each other’s company in the evening. We felt very fortunate to find this property to suit our large family.

This was a great house that had plenty of room for our large family. It was clean and had all the things to make our stay enjoyable. We had a great week and the owner was accessible, friendly and helpful.
We would stay here again if the dates work out next year. Thank you Jim!

Three families (6 adults, 7 kids ages 2-12) stayed for a summer week here and had a blast. Spent most of our time during the day at the dock or on the water. Perfect, quiet cove is 5 minutes by car or boat to Friendship Boat Ramp if you have a boat. Dock is nice with covered boat slip. We also used their kayaks and SUP all day every day. Yes, it's a steep walk up from the lake to the house, but that's true of most Hartwell houses, and the beautiful Foothills are a big part of the beauty of the lake. Great waterfalls and hiking within an hour away. Lots of recreation areas on the lake as well if you don't have a boat.
House is great for families. Main floor has nice master and master bath along with main living area and kitchen. We spent most of our time here. Upstairs only has one bathroom for the three bedrooms and is a little dated, but there is a lot of space up there and is very comfortable. Bottom floor is it's own apartment with small kitchen, master bedroom and bath along with 2 smaller living areas with pull out couches and the 1/2 bath. Easy parking for at least 4 cars, and there was even a place for us to keep our boat trailer out of the way.
Lots of other great things - the listing very accurately describes the house and what to expect. Owners were very easy to reach and very responsive to our requests.

We had a great time the first week of August at Friendship Cove. Friendship Cove fit our family of 12 perfectly with its six bedrooms. The lake inlet was perfect for our kids to kayak, paddleboard and jump off the dock as it seemed we had it to ourselves. Owners recommended Clemson Marina where we rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed an afternoon on a different part of the lake. The large dinner table enabled us to all sit at one table for dinner together. This week was a memory maker for us, a vacation we will not forget.

This house amd location has a lot to offer and we have many positive things to say. This was a great house to stay as it accommodated our needs and everyone had a place of their own to rest at the end of the day. The owners were very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. The location was great, we visited Clemson university and the city of Greenville- highly recommend. We rented a boat from the Clemson marina and that was a great experience, we even had dinner there one night at the grill. The water toys they had at the house were a great extra and we used them all!
Just few things that could be improved upon. The house was not as cleanly as I had anticipated, the counters needed a good wipe down as well as the kitchen floor and refrigerator. There were crumbs in the utensil drawers. If you have older family or friends staying here, know that the access to the dock is not easlisy accessible for them especially if they have balance/stability issues. We had to help my 77 year old mom up and down each trip to and from the dock.

Awesome trip!
We had a great time staying at Friendship Cove. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, as well as trips to Oasis Ranch, Tallulah Gorge, Toccoa Falls and Chatooga Ridge zip line . Our family of 14 had plenty of room in this beautiful home. We really love Lake Hartwell and this whole area!

Early summer vacation
Overall it was a good stay, the layout of the house fit our family as with 3 floors, each family had their space. Kitchen was well stocked and with lots of windows it was a light and bright great room. The house is located on a creek which was great for kayak adventures , walk to and from dock is a little challenging if you are mobility challenged at all.

Clemson football weekend
Great property. Well-suited and well-equipped for our group of 12. Fairly close to campus; football traffic added some time, but that was expected. No problems getting Ubers from downtown back to the house at night. Owners were responsive and helpful.

Fantastic Homecoming weekend
What a fantastic home—plenty of room for all our extended family to get together for a Clemson game weekend. Spacious, clean, fully stocked kitchen and great outdoor space to gather around the fire pit.. Beds were comfortable. Owner, Paul, was very responsive to my questions.

Family weekend
Great location, great house, very spacious and was wonderful to have the bedrooms with king bedrooms. Having the two kitchens worked out perfect with extra fridge space. Boat dock was great for pontoon rental and hanging out.

Awesome Lake House!
We spent a week at this house. We had an amazing time. This is perfect for a large family group or a few families. It is very easy to get to and has a large driveway that is easy to get in and out of. It is stocked with anything and everything you need. The home is roomy, there is space for everybody. All of the bedrooms were a great size. All of beds were very comfortable. The linens were clean and soft, and towels were fluffy. The owners have spared no expense. Paul was easy to communicate with and answered any questions I had very quickly. There are 2 kayaks and a paddle board to use. They have plenty of life jackets, they are all adult one size. Bring life jackets if you have people under 90 pounds with you. The dock is in a cove and is covered. We will be back next summer and more.

Perfect end to summer
The house was on a cove with lots of privacy - it had everything we would need and we never ventured out till our last day!
The house was spacious, well decorated and the owners have anticipated every need you may have. They welcomed us with a large bag of sour gummies! The kitchen is fully stocked - including baking supplies. The basement apartment was a HUGE hit with our kids!
We spent all day on the water and evenings playing games, watching movies and hanging out on the deck. A perfect last week before school.
It is well situated with a 10 minute drive to grocery stores.

Wonderful Lake Hartwell house and cove
My family had a great week at this wonderful lake house! Host was very responsive from the beginning with our different questions and during the stay. The house location in a cove on the Lake was perfect, quiet with no lake traffic. The house was as listed in description and set up nicely for extended families. The house was very clean, linens and towels available as noted and all beds comfy. Kitchen was stocked very well. It was nice to have light switches labeled. The trail to get to lake is a little steep for anyone who may have walking/accessibility issues. The bonus to the house that we enjoyed using were the kayaks and paddleboard provided. The dock is also setup well with room for walking, sitting, sunning and access to the Lake (Fun swimming area). The outdoor backyard area with grilling and firepit area was nice to have. One big plus was having a dining table large enough for the entire family. We will not hesitate to come back to this house on Lake Hartwell!
