About this cabin rental

There is something special about walking through the door - the stress just rolls off your back. This open, homey space provides a great family atmosphere. Fall/winter gatherings present game playing time and a firepit ring for making smore's while spring/summer stays can be filled with fun water days. There is a partially covered dock, 5 kayaks and an assortment of life vests available.

The fully equipped kitchen will make it easy to cook any meal. There is a large variety of pots, pans and baking essentials. The cabinets are filled with plates, bowls, coffee mugs and glasses. There is a dining table inside as well as one on the back covered, screened in deck. A Kuerig coffee maker as well as a coffee brewer is available for a relaxing morning of bird watching from the swing on the back deck.

While swinging on the front porch there is a great chance you will hear the cows in the pasture across the street. They are as curious about passersby’s as we are about them, so enjoy a close up look!

Our family had a wonderful time at this spacious lake house! The kids absolutely loved fishing and jumping off the dock. The house was perfect for our family and provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Our boys asked to come back here every year.

The upstairs area was bigger and nicer than expected. The downstairs enclosed bedroom and bathroom were fine. It was a fairly level walk to the lake. The owners responded fast when the a/c broke down. The ice maker didn't dispense. The kayaks were full of rain water, missing carrying handles and covered in bird poop. No indoor access to the basement bedrooms. The two "make-do" bedrooms are literally just beds in the basement. One is behind the furnace next to a big pile of stuff covered with a tarp. Even our adventurous teens said it was "creepy" and refused to sleep there. The paddles for the ping pong table had busted handles. There wasn't enough hot water for everyone to take a shower at night. The dock was the biggest disappointed of all. It was quite small to begin with, and the owners boat was tied to it, which we had to request be moved, to be able to tie up our own boats. The deep end of the dock was sitting in 3 1/2 feet of water. There was another 10-12 feet of walkway that could have pushed the dock out into somewhat deeper water. When we called about it, we were told that WE were welcome to push it out. We tried, but there was not enough cable to move it out more than a foot. This meant the kids couldn't play and jump off the dock and stepping off the swim ladder (which was partially unbolted and my husband had to fix) we were standing in mud over our ankles. There was a busy road nearby and it was LOUD. It was really just an unpleasant and disappointing stay.

The house was a nice size. There was seven in our group and we had plenty of room to relax. The house was clean and well stocked. The host and owner was real good to work with. If I had a question about anything they got right back with me. I had no intention of having any pets but my daughter had a last minute problem with her dog sitter and had to bring them. I contacted them three days before arriving and they got right back with me so I could get everything arranged. The fenced yard was great because we did not have to put them on a leash every time we took them out. Had a lot of fun swimming in the lake and kayaking. The only problem we had was the basement room where my sons slept always had a musky smell. Not a problem for me but most of my family likes going to bed with a tv but there is only one in the living room.

Clean, well stocked, flat to the water, lots of parking. Only negatives were 2 of the bathrooms had broken toilet seats and the dock had drifted making access tricky.

Birds tweeted. A snake climbed a tree. The youngers kayaked. The AC worked. Some doors (master) challenged us. But overall, very nice.

Brought the highschool bass fishing team from Brantley county and we had a great time. All the boys were able to stay down stairs.

We enjoyed a multi-generation family Christmas at this wonderful lakeside home. Best stocked house we've ever stayed in. This house has everything you need for everyone in the family with plenty of room for everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. There were 9 of us, 6 adults, 3 toddlers. There was plenty of space for us all. The home had everything we needed, plus. We really enjoyed the screen house. The dock was put to good use for fishing and parking the rental boat. Fires in the evening were very relaxing .We all agreed we would not hesitate to rent the house again.

We booked this cabin due to an unexpected death in our family. Although we were not in the area for a fun vacation, we really enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have a place to get away and take our minds off of the tragedy our family was experiencing. Everything was as represented. The host was helpful and available. We had an issue when we got there, and it was taken care of quickly and properly. We hope to return during happier times.

Very well equipped with so many activity options, lovely shaded areas and fenced area for our happy puppies. Plenty of parking and easy access. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens were supplied. Kitchen very well equipped.

We truly enjoyed our family vacation here! Family comes from all over and meets in the middle each year and this place was wonderful. There were 10 of us, 8 adults and 2 teenagers, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The lake is right there in the backyard, and the dock was spacious enough for the whole group to hang out. And we loved the giant foam raft! 5 of us fit on that to lay out in the sun. The home was charming and comfortable, well-stocked with everything you'll need. Both porches have swings, and the back porch was a great hang-out spot. The teenagers and younger adults stayed in the garage/basement beds and they enjoyed their space from the older adults. Great memories were made here this summer!

Great location! The house was very spacious.... accommodated us quite well. Everyone had an area of their own! The amenities were fabulous especially in the kitchen! So many pots and pans and overall had anything one would need. More then I've ever had in any place we've stayed. The lake was great. We all enjoyed both swimming and fishing! The grandsons had a blast fishing with Pappy. The kayaks were a bonus. My granddaughter really liked to take a kayak out and for her to do that was fantastic!! Overall our group came together from NC and VA and had a wonderful week! Thank you so much!! It was a much needed time together!

I was amazed. Our family vacation was absolutely wonderful. The house had everything you needed. The location is wonderful. I cant thank the owners enough for allowing families to use their amenities to enjoy outings. We will hopefully be back to another vacay soon

This property was clean and so cute! We loved the house and lake access. We brought our boat and there was plenty of room to park in the circle drive. Our dogs were safe in the fence and plenty of room for the kids to play. We'll be back for sure!

Great experience. The house was perfect for our big family very comfortable feeling. It was great having the kayaks available for us. Owner was very quick to respond to any of our concerns. Loved how the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to cook.

This place is way nicer than the pictures and also a very well stocked kitchen any pot pan mix that you may need the only thing that was alittle bother some is that I didn’t realize that you can one access the basement from the out side but it wasn’t a problem at all we hope to come again

This was a very cute cabin on the lake. We all fit comfortably and had everything we needed to have a good time. Days on the lake, nights playing games or enjoying the jetted tub to wind down. We were even able to bring our 2 dogs that had a blast! Will definitely return again if going to that area.

We had a small family gathering to celebrate our patriarch's birthday (6 people). The house was more than large enough. We were able to dock our boat and made use of the kayaks. Ping-pong tournaments happened every night. The beds were comfy and the kichen well stocked. We grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful property. Our canine family member enjoyed watching the squirrels from the front porch. Our host was very responsive to my questions and check in was a breeze. I'd highly recommend this property for those who long for the peace and quiet on a lake.

Ten of us spent the weekend here to fish and enjoy Lake Hartwell. The house is very comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. For the size of our group, it was perfect. It is located close to multiple boat ramps. Several restaurants are only a short drive away. We all wish that we could have stayed longer. We will definitely try to reserve it again in the future. Robert was wonderful to work with and very responsive to messages.
