The property was walking distance from the main area of Parikia. John picked us up and dropped us off at the Port.
The room was clean and perfect for two people. The balcony was not private but had a nice garden view.
The intersection outside the property is difficult to cross as it is very busy and on a corner.

Not much it was a last min booking. it’s located next to gypsy camp. Yes gypsyies The walls are paper thin. The queen bed is just two single beds pushed together. They were super hard . Great water pressure.

walking distance from port and town. Kitchen is okay
- massive and uncomfortable pillows
- the Host (John) came 3 times in our room without knocking on the door!!?!? (to ask questions that could’ve waited) very disrespectful and no feeling of privacy

The accomodation is somewhat rustic. Communication is in basic english only. The host is principally friendly, a man of honor and tries to be welcoming and helpful.
The positive sides:
- The space around the house is nice for sitting and it's quiet during the night.
- Distance to the harbor and the old town is short.
- The AC and Wifi is good and the appartment had all the basic equipment.
Neutral things:
- Distance to the sandy beaches of Parikia is 1km.
- The host organized a scooter according to my demands and for a fair price, which was nice. Sadly the renting guy didn't speak any english though.
Nevertheless, some things were unpleasant:
- The host just came into the room unasked looking for his glasses, while I was taking a nap in my underpants. When he noted the situation, he apologized and left. But obviously, a respect for privacy in the room doesn't seem to be standard.
- In the appartment, the toilet flush didn't work and some smaller things were broken in the appartment (fixed after I complained).
- the host offered pick up from the port, but I couldn't find him when I arrived. The walk to the place from the harbour is just 10 minutes though.
- the walls are thin and noise more often than not started early in the morning. Sleeping long was therefore rare. Additionally, the beds are quite hard.

it was very pretty, with good facilities in the room. was 5 minutes to the town and next to a mini market which helped get any snacks when necessary. host was incredible, with transfer from the boats to the property.
not enough cutlery for breakfast in the rooms.

John and his wife were really nice and helpful whenever we had questions. The appartment was close to the city center, and John picked us up at the port.
The appartment was less spaceus than expected, and the kitchenett could have been better equiped.

location was decent
beds were very uncomfortable, the heat did not work, bathrooms were extremely small, staff was difficult to work with. the worst part was the raw chicken outside of our door.

John and his wife are welcoming hosts. He picked us up at the ferry gates. They were available when we needed them. I recommend this place.

We had a great stay at John’s rooms.
John and his wife were great hosts, always with a smile and ready to help.
We booked the studio. It was a standard studio, what you see in the pictures. It had two beds, private bathroom, a hot plate, kettle and a balcony.
It is also very well located, 5 minute walk to the main town.
John provides pick up and drop off from the port free of charge.
Would recommend.
